Id., with intent to defraud :_ He is 20 years old ( looks about 14 years old), 5 feet high, hunch- back, pale com- plexion consumptive appearance, no whiskers nor moustache; dressed when last seen in a dark worsted suit, jumper jacket, and felt hat; is a native of Dublin, and was formerly employed in the Census Office there. PARTICULARS relative to English Police Supervisee Patrick O'Donald, alias Hugh Lapping, convicted at Salford, county Lancaster, at Sessions, on 7 July, 1884, for stealing a coat after a prior conviction, and sentenced to 15 calendar months and ' 5 years police supervision ; 24 years' of age on conviction, single, is a plasterer, born in Glasgow, resided before con- viction at 27, Gun- street, Manchester:— Brown hair, gray eyes, pale complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 6 feet 3 inches high ; burn marks on left fore- arm. This supervisee was discharged from Knutsford Prison on 6th October, 1885, and went to reside at 5, Millfield- place, Belfast, which place ho left on or about the 1st instant, and is supposed to have gone to Liverpool. PARTICULARS relative, to Convict John Herbert, A 64, convicted at Newry, county Down, at the Summer Assizes, on the 3rd July, 1879, for larceny and previous conviction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 32 years of age, single, is a labourer, born at Monkstown, county Dublin, his friends reside at Rathmines; light brown hair, blue eyes, fair eyebrows, broad nose, medium mouth, sandy complexion, broad visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; dot between forefinger and thumb, both hands. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison, 2nd January, 1886, and went to reside in Dublin. He reported himself to the Police on same date, and said he had no settled place of residence, but when he had procured one he would inform them. He has not done so up to' the present, and his whereabouts is unknown.. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with Under the Ac*, 3t &- 35" Vic., section 5, cap. 112. January 18, 1886. DESCRIPTION of John James Moriarty, late a con- fidential runner in. the Hibernian Bank, Dublin, who is wanted on Warrant here, for that he did, on the 29th August, 1885, unlawfully abscond and feloniously steal the sum of £ 2,391 lis. 10d. sterling, the money and property of the said Bank:— 28 years of ago, 5 feet 10 jnchjes high, slight build, florid complexion, fair hair, no beard, whiskers, or moustache, blue eyes, walks erept; dressed in. Superintendent's Office, G Division, September 3, 1885. __ DESCRIPTION of Robert Farquharson, Joint Manager of the Munster Bank Dublin, and Agent for the Royal Exchange Assurance Company, Dublin, who disappeared from his residence about mid- day, on the 2Nth instant, and absconded from his office, leaving his accdunts in an unsatisfactory state :— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, dark hair, dark beard, whiskers, and' rhoustache, slightly tinged with gray, dark fresh complexion, good dark sparkling eyes, prominent teeth, average build, walks with a stoop, dresse^ d in gentlemanly style, generally wears a silk hat; is a native of Scotland. He is suspected of having embezzled over £ 10,000, property of the said Bank. Information to Superintendent WILLIAM REDDY, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. In the above case the Liquidators of the Munster Bank ( Limited) will pay a reward of £ 500 for the arrest of the said Robert Farquharson, on his being delivered up to the Gaol Authorities in Dublin. Convict, James Schriber, described in the Hue- knd- Cry of 19th January last, has not been arrested. English convict, Margaret Ryan, described in Hue- and- Cry of 1st of January last, has not been arrested. convict William M'Manus ( failing to report him- self), not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 11th December, 1885. Convict James Hearty, described in Hue- and- Cry of 8th of last month, has not been arrested. Convict James Slattery ( failing to report himself), not arrested; Hue- and Cry, 5th January, 1886. ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY. Antrim. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender who, on the 6th March, 1886, absconded from the Malone Reformatory School at Belfast:— Wm. Joseph Carlisle, 17 years of age, light brown hair, blue eyes, sharp nose, prominent month, fresh complexion, long visage, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high j born at Belfast; formerly belonged to Belfast; parents reside at 15, Barrow- street, Belfast; sister also residing in Leper- street, Belfast; scar on left side of neck, blue dot between thumb and fore- finger of right hand. Dress worn by juvenile when he absconded— Moleskin jacket, moleskin trowsers and blue dongares oversuit, moleskin vest, cloth Glengarry cap, vfclue striped shirt, red and black tie, Blucher boots, and woollen stockings, The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of hid conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. DESCRIPTION of John Christy, native of Cartall, who stands charged with having, on the 5th ol February, 1886, in the harony of Lower Belfast, parish of Ballylinny, threatened to shoot John Chisolm, of same place:— Blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 25 years of age, fair curly hair ; wore a hard hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers and vest; is a licensed publican. DESCRIPTION of a watch, stolen from the dwelling- house of James Clune, of Capparoe, parish of Tomgraney, and barony of Tulla Upper, between the 15th and 18th March, 1886 :— Silver Geneva Watch, No. 43,496, initialled on back " M. J. C."; maker, ryan, Limerick; supposed stolen by a man who gave the name of Thomas Ryan ( described below), and who worked for James Clune from the 16th to the 18th March, 1886. Nose much turned up, sallow complexion, black hair, about 5 feet high, no whiskers, about 18 years of age, dressed in a black coat, and wore a cap. Killaloe, March 29, 1886. ( 73635 c.— 26847.) DESCRIPTION of a grayhound, the property of John Hayes, which was stolen from his father's bouse at Kilbane, parish of Killokennedy, barony of Tulla, Lower, on the night of the 6th March, 1886 :— A female grayhound, pale red colour, white circle round the neck, white spot on forehead, breast, legs, yand top of tail white, about 5 months old; value for about £ 1, Killaloe, Mar. 18, 1886. DESCRIPTION of a person, reputed to be John Neill, or O'Neill, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd April, 1886, in the barony of West Division East Carbery, parish of Kilkerranmore, murdered Daniel Neill, of Knocks District, Dunmanway, Sub- District Ballygurteen, by shooting him with a revolver :— Wants forefinger of right hand, regular nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 60 years of age, dark hair; wore a sack- shaped dark coat, light trowsers like doeskin, check flannel shirt; is a navvy, lately on Clonakilty and ballydehob New Rail- way ; returned American. DESCRIPTION of Timothy Buckley, native of Caher- barule, who stands charged with having, on the 1st February, 1886, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Aghabollogue, committed a rape:— Bow- legged, gray eyes, regu ar nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet high, about 16 years of age, brown hair; wore a two- peaked cap, gray coat, trowsers, and vest; is a servant boy. Patrick Quinn ( charged with having been one of a party of men, who called at the houses of several persons and demanded arms and money), not arrested ; Hue- and- Ory, 4th December, 1885. Dublin. DESCRIPTION of the property of Mrs. Hannah Mathews, which was stolen from her house, Rich- mond- road, in the parish of Clonturk, barony of Coolock, by some person or persons unknown, on the night of the 26th or morning of the 27th March, 1886 :— A large silver bread- basket, with crest ( lamb and banner) on handle ; a silver horse- shoe brooch, with cap and hunting- whip cut thereon; a small gold brooch, shaped like a vine leaf; a silver brooch, shaped like a violin ; a silver plated pen and pencil- case ; a pair of double white blankets; three gentle- man's neckties, a white calico and a dark blue silk, in which was inserted a gold breast- pin, with yellow hair in it; two pairs of ladies' boots, laced. a lady's mackintosh, black, value about 16s.; a small penknife; a white linen shirt; and a quantity of fair hair, rolled in tissue paper. DESCRIPTION of articles, the property of William George Edmonds, which were stolen from his dwell- ing- house, 2, Charlemont- terrace, Marino, in the parish of Clontarf, barony of Coolock, on the night of 8th or morning of 9th March, 1886, by some persons unknown:— A marble clock, non- striking, from which a brass presentation plate, three inches by three- fourths of an inch, has been wrenched ; a brass card- tray, figured with two cards; two small pictures of water scenery, in frames; a prayer- book, with brown cover, and two brass clasps, and inscrip* tion on inner cover, " B. M'Kittrick"; a black cloth topcoat, braided, and velvet collar; a pair of dog- skin gloves, with brass buttons, and red stitching inside, a small brass magnifying- glass with three legs and screw top; a small Chinese bowl; a green table- cloth, with black flowering; a photographic album, with puce cover, containing several photo- graphs ; several books not describablc. DESCRIPTION of James Smith, native of London, who stands charged with having, on the 11th February, 1886, in the barony of Uppercross, parish of Tallaght, robbed Edward Rafter, of Castlekelly, fanner, of a purse containing one five pound note, two pounds in gold, and about seventeen shillings and sixpence in silver:— Very large eyes, foolish looking, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slight or medium make, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair, sandy whiskers and moustache, growing very thin on face; wore an old soft hat, three small buttons on side, old black cloth coat, moleskin trowsers patched on knees with corduroy, and tweed vest; is a labourer, and sup- posed deserter from Army. DESCRIPTION of Joseph Greene, native of Mace ( Carna), who stands charged with having, on the 9th January, 1886, in the barony of Ballynahinch, parish of Moyrus, seriously assaulted John Corbett, by striking him with a stone on the head, and being bailed to stand his trial at the present Galway Spring Assizes, failed to do so :— Down looking appearance, dark whiskers, recently clipped very short, gray eyes, ordinary rose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a black soft hat, dark gray frieze coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. He will endeavour to emigrate to America, and it is believed he may have already done so. Warrant ordered for bis arrest. Roundstone, March 19, 1886. ( 72603 c— 26584.) DESCRIPTION of watches and other property, stolen from John P. Fogarty's shop, situate in Shop- street, Galway, which was forcibly entered on the night of 22nd or morning of 23rd instant:— Four silver Geneva watches, lady's size, numbered 24,513, 24,514, 245,400, 245,586, value £ 2 each ; a gentle- man's silver lever watch, centre second, No. 47,076, value about £ 8 : a silver gilt bracelet, value £ 1 17s.; a silver and pebble bracelet, value £ 2; a silver and inlaid Connamara marble bracelet, value £ 1 12s. ; four silver bracelets, value 9s. 6d. each ; five pocket penkives, James Barber, maker, value Is. 6d. each. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Connor, native of Curra- vaha, Glencar, who stands charged with having, on the 25th day of March, 1886, in the barony of Glenarough, parish of Kenmare, pointed a gun at one Dents Sullivan, gamekeeper:— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full clean face, stout active make, 5 feet 7J inches high, about 24 years of age, fair hair; wore a brown plaid tweed trowsers ; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of John Allman, native of Keeloclo- hane, who stands charged with having, on the 6th March, 1886, in the barony of Trughenackmy, parish of Kilcoleman, fired a shot at the dwelling- house of one Darby Clifford, to the terror of the inmates thereof:— Down- looking appearance, round shoulders, holds his head down when walking, generally keeps his hands in his pockets when walking, blue or gray eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, long thin face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair, wore a soft dark hat, reddisb- gray sack coat, tweed trousers, and vest; is a labourer Killorglin, March 15,1886. DESCRIPTION of Jeremiah Healy, native of Fehanagh, wbo stands charged with having, on the 14th February, 1886, in the barony of Glenarough, parish of Tuosist, struck one Jeremiah Shea, with a stone on the head, thereby placing his life in danger:— Awkward gait, gray or blue eyes, thick nose, florid complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft wide awake hat, brown tweed coat, gray flannel trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Daniel Sullivan ( charged with others of having, on the night of the 13th November, 1885, in the barony of Magunihy, parish of Molahiffe, murdered John O'C. Curtin), not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 20th November, 1885. Kildare, DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 4th February, 1886, in the barony of North Salt, parish of Taghadoe, set fire to a rick of hay the property of Miss Rickards, of Corbally:— Dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair, chin shaved, wore side whiskers ; wore a soft jerry hat, dark worn coat, dark trowsers, and vest; is a tramp. Naas, February 6, 1886. ( 72887 c.— 25451.) On the 22nd of January inst., James Slattery, a convict on ticket- of- licence, who had failed to report himself, was returned for trial at Monasterevan Petty Sessions, for a robbery of plate from the R. C. Chapel there. In a bundle which he had there was soma Altar linen, partly cut up, and a piece of embroidery on white satin, 3^ yards long, 81 inches deep, with a yellow fringe on one side 2 inches deep. The embroidery consisted of flowers and leaves in green and red, two rings at each end, and a large one in the centre containing the letters " I. H. S., " inter- laced in green, yellow, white and crimson. These do not belong to Monasterevan Chapel, and it is believed that Slattery committed a similar robbery elsewhere. DESCRIPTION of Peter Joseph Rooney, native ot Glenade, who stands chargod with having, on the 12th December, 1885, and on subsequent dates, in the barmy of Dromahaire, parish of Cloonclare, obtained several sums of money from one Thomas Loughlin, and others, by mean? of talse' pretences:— Large dark eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark curly hair; wore a two- peaked cap, and dark clothes; drives a post car through the country, and represents himself as a tea traveller, offers tea and sugar at very low prices, and obtains some money, promising to send the goods. DESCRIPTION of John Walsh ( mother's surname Cody), native of Cappamore, who stands charged with having, on the 18th day of March, 1886, in the barony of Owneybeg, parish of Abington, seriously assaulted John O'Donnell, and whose life is now in danger:— Turns out his toes when walking, small dark moustache, gray eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, tbin face, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 20 years of age, dark hair ; wore a dark caj, tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; generally employed breaking stones. Warrant issued for his arrest. Newpallas, March 29, 1886. ( 73636 c.— 26850.) DESCRIPTION of Mathew Ryan ( Rue) ( mother's surname Connors), and Michael Laffan ( mother's surname Grady), natives of TinDeteriffe, county Limerick, who stand charged with having, on the 25th day ot March, 1886, in the barony of Owneybeg, parish of Tuogh, seriously assaulted John Donohoe, of Dromclogher, county Limerick, by striking him on the head with a stone, thereby placing his life in danger :— 1. Slightly stooped, lound thick shoulders, gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9£ inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a black hard hat, black sack coat, tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer's son 2. Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 6 feet high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a hard hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. DESCRIPTION of Michael Power, and John Power, natives of Kilmeedy, and William Kiely ( mother's surname Irwin), native of Dromminacreena, who stand charged with having, on the 8th January, 1886, in the barony of Upper Connello, parish of Ballingarry, seriously assaulted Catherine Fitzgibbon, and thereby placed her life in danger: 1. Blue or gray eyes, regular nose, fair com- plexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair; wore a low soft hat, gray tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest; is a cooper. 2. Blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 19 years of age, fair hair; wore a lowsofV hat, dark tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest jiWcooper. 3. Gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 18 years of age, light brown hair; wore a low soft hat, dark tweed coat, cord trowsers, and dark tweed vest; is a farmer's son Adare, January 16, 1886. Londonderry. • DESCRIPTION of Peter M'Guigan ( mother's sur- name M'Glade), native of Cloane, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd October, 1885, at Clunty- geeragh, in the barony of Kennaught, parish of Dungiven, with others, unlawfully risen and as- sembled to disturb the peace :— Leans forward when walking, wears all his beard, which is long and brown, blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years ol age, dark hair; wore a black cloth cap, black coat, light tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a farm labourer. Was bailed for trial at Derry Spring Assizes, 1886, but failed to appear; supposed to have gone to America. Bench Warrant issued for tils arrest. Limavady, March 29, 1886. ( 70762 c.— 22375.) DESCRIPTION of a cow the property of Patrick Fallon, which was stolen from thf lands of Lisree- vagh, parish of Rathcline, barony of Rathcline, on the' 27th day of March, 1886 s— A three- year old springer cow, short crooked horns, pale yellow colour, with several white spots on back and sides ; value for £ 12. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Brown, native of Kilcurry, who stands charged with having, on the night of 25th December, 1885, in the barony of Shrule, parish of Taghshinny, seriously assaulted Mathew Eyan, of Kilcurry, in conjunction with James Dougherty, who has surrendered:— Good- looking, gray eyes, regular nose, frosh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 21 years of age, brown hair; wore a dark coat, gray trowsers and vest * is 8> labourer. DeScRIPTION of Thomas Costelloe, native of Cortoon, Kirwin, near Kilmaine, who stands charged with having, on the 15th July, 1886, in the barony of Kilmaine, parish of Ballinrobe, stolen a pig, the property of Michael Reilly, of Ballinrobe; the pig has been recovered :— Slight cast in left eye, gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 27 years of age, fair hairj wore a fair moustache and small side whiskers, soft black hat, gray tweed suit, black leather leggings, may have gone to England to rejoin the army; army reserve man from cavalry; he trains horses. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Healy, native of Carnaclory, county Sligo, who stands charged with having, on the 21st day of January, 1886, in the barony of Gallen, parish of Killedan, assaulted Edward Hussey, assistant messenger of the Court of Bankruptcy, Ireland, after being arrested on a Warrant issued by said Court, thereby effecting his escape from legal custody :— Holds down his head, and appears shy when spoken to, high cheek bones, strong features, small fair moustache, no beard or whiskers, full gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 24 years of age, light brown hair; wore a low black hat, wide leaf, dark tweed or serge coat, gray tweed trowsers, dark vest, may be wearing a dark tweed ulster coat; is a shopkeeper. DESCRIPTION of Robert Peyton ( mother's surname Boughton), native of Westlands, who stands charged with having, on the 15th August, 1884, in the barony of Carra, parish of Ballyhean, committed rape :— Gentlemanly appearance, sometimes wears glasses; blue eyes, aquiline nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet high, about 40 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, dark gray overcoat; is a gentleman. DESCRIPTION of John Carlton, native of Navan, who stands charged with having, on the 5th Febru- ary, 1886, in the barony of Upper Moyfenrath, parish of Cionard, embezzled the sum of £ 2 lis. 9d. the property of his master, James Cushion, of Anneville, in this district:— Round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 60 years of age, gray hair, shaves all his face; wore a round hard hat, a white scarf, and a dark brown tweed coat; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Anne Dempsey, supposed native of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 17th day of February, 1886, in the barony of Portnahinch, parish of Ardea, deserted her infant child, Thomas Dempsey, 3 months old, who had on him clothes branded Carlow Union :— Left eye sore, dark eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, full face, stout make 5 feet 5 inches high, about 20 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown - pat trimmed with fur, blue dress with flounces; is a fagrant.
