WANTED at Perth, under a Sheriff's Warrant, charged with fraud, committed at railway stations in this county, during the past month ;— W. D. Gordon or Gorman ( supposed fictitious), about 40 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches in height, brown hair and • whiskers all round, and heavy moustache ; has a marked peculiarity about his left eye, which is appa- rently blind; of gentlemanly appearance, and speaks with an English accent. Dress:— Brown checked tweed jacket, vest, and trowsers, light gray stalking cap, elastic- sided boots, or sometimes cricket shoes. Accused travels about the country representing himself to station agents and hotel- keepers that he is on his way to inspect an estate which he intends to purchase, and has just discovered that he left his purse behind him, by which means ho obtiiTris a small sum of money to purchase his railway ticket. The Police are requested to make special search and inquiry for this man, and to warn station agents and hotel- keepers as to same, and in the event of his being found, to apprehend, and detain, and wire to the subscriber, who will at once send an officor for him. PARTICULARS relative to Convict Samuel Robinson, 10,888, convicted at Dundalk, county Louth, at the Spring Assizes, on the 5th March, 1878, for larceny of sheep, after previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to 10 years' penal servitude ;— 45 years of age, is married, is a shoemaker, born at Larne, county Antrim, resided before conviction at Togher, county Louth ; his friends reside in France ; brown hair, turning gray, hazel eyes, brown eyebrows, largs hooked nose, regular lrfouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 6^ finches high; cut mark on left hand, lost one lower and three upper front teeth. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, the 4th inst., and went to reside at 4, Ryder's- row, Dublin, which place he left on or about the 10th inst., without notifying same to the Metropolitan Police, and his present whereabouts is unkntown. PARTICULARS relative to Convict John Reidy, A305, convicted in Limerick City, at Summer Assizes, on 8th July, 1881, for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 25 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; resided before conviction in Limerick, where his friends reside ; brown hair, brown eyes, black eye- brows, regular nose, small mouth, sallow com- plexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet inches high; Indian head tattooed on right forearm, and J. R. on left; star, shamrock, woman's head, cross, and ring, on left hand. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, 16th September, 1885, and went to reside at Limerick. DESCRIPTION of John James Moriarty, late a con- fidential runner in the Hibernian Bank, Dublin, who is wanted on Warrant here, for that he did, on the 29th August, 1885, unlawfully abscond and feloniously steal the turn of £ 2,391 lis. lOd sterling, the money and property of the said Bank:— 28 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, florid complexion, fair hair, no beard, whiskers, or moustache, blue eyes, walks erect; dressed in ( supposed) yellowish tweed suit, and low brown jerry hat. DESCRIPTION of Robert Farquharson, Joint Manager of the Munster Bank Dublin, and Agent for the Royal Exchange Assurance Company, Dublin, who disappeared from his residence about mid- day, on the 28th instant, and absconded from his office, leaving his accounts in an unsatisfactory state:— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, dark hair, dark beard, whiskers, and moustache, slightly tinged with gray, dark fresh complexion, good dark sparkling eyes, prominent teeth, average build, walks with a stoop, dressed in gentlemanly style, generally wears a silk hat; is a native of Scotland. DESCRIPTION of a womaii, name Unknown, sup- posed native of about Lisburn, who stands charged with having, on the night of 29th or morning of 30th October, 1885, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankhill, committed infanticide:— A wart on upper part of right eye- lid, gray eyes, regular nose, ruddy complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 26 or 27 years of age, dark hair; wore a biack straw hat, with bunch of imitation grapes or berries on it, dark dress, black and white striped petticoat, faded red and black shawl; is sup- posed to be a servant. Was accompanied by a little boy, one- and- a- half years old, who was dresssed in blue serge trimmed with gold lace, and a row of buttons down front of it, boy dark and good- looking, and mother stated his name was James M'Cauley. DESCRIPTION of a colt, the property of Walter Coady, - which was stolen out of his stable at Ballybeg, parish of St Mullins, and barony 6f St, Mullins, on the night of the 17th or morning of the 18th November, 1885 :— A colt, rising 2 years old, about 13 hands high, bright bay colour with black mane, tail, and legs, no white whatever on him. Curtin:— Blue or gray eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, thin face, slight active make, 6 feet high, about 20 or 21 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft hat. DESCRIPTION of two persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 16th day of October, 1885, in the barony of North Naas, parish of Naas, broken and entered the dwelling house of John Howe, and carried away therefrom one pair of button and one pair of elastic gentleman's boots ( nearly new), a cotton sheet, and a German Flute :— 1. Fair complexion, round face, medium make, 4 feet 10 inches high, about 16 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark tweed coat, and dark trowsers ; barefooted ; is a tramp. 2. DESCRIPTION of a man, name, and native plac « unknown ( but who calls himself John Kelly and says he is from Castlecomer), who stands charged with having, on the night of the 5th or morning of the 6th November, 1885, in the barony of Shillelagher, parish of Burnchurch, stolen a set of pony tackling, since recovered, out of Patrick Brophy's stable, of Ballymack Desert, and pawned them in Kilkenny. He is also supposed to have stolen tackling from Tullowbrien in same county:— Broad shoulders, has the appearance of a collier, dark complexion, stout make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair and whiskers; wore a soft hat and blue SEck coat. The four persons, names unknown, supposed natives of Keel or Lack, near Castlemaine, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 26th and morning of the 27th September, 1888, in the barony of Corkaguiny, parishes of Kilgobbin and Killiney, in company with other armed and disguised moonlighters, numbering about fourteen or fifteen, feloniously attacked the houses of seventeen farmers, j and forcibly carried away therefrom various sums of money, a single barrelled muzzle- loading Enfield Rifle & c., and attempted to swear some of the farmers against paying rent, not arrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 6th i October, 1885. , j Five persons, names and native places unknown, j who stand charged with having, on the night of the 29th September, 1885, in the barony of Corkaguiney, parish of Killiney, been five of a party of armed and disguised moonlighters who entered the house of Jeremiah Scanlan, of Maghera- beg, and did forcibly take therefrom a single barrel gun with some powder and shot, not arrested; Hue- i and- Cry, 6th October, 1885. A fowling pfece, a briar- root pipe, and a powder J flask, the property of Daniel Griffin, described in the Hue- and- Cry of 6! h October, 1885, have not been recovered. The two persons, names and native places un- known, charged with having assaulted Michael Corcoran, and described in the Hue- and- Cry of the 19th of June last, have not been arrested. . Five persons, names and native places un- known, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 18th April, 1885, in the barony of Corkaguiny, parish of Ballinorker, attacked the dwelling- houses of John Cruickshank, Inch, and Daniel Daly, Caherpierce, and taken therefrom six guns, and also with seriously assaulting John Cruick- shank on the same occasion by inflicting four cuts on his head with the stock of a gun, & c., have not been arrested, nor the arms recovered; Hue and- Ciy, 24th April, 1885. DESCRIPTION of James Neenan, native of Cortoon, Tuam, county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 30th October, 1885, in the barony of CosteUo, parish of Aghamore, with stealing 3 sheep and 8 lambs off the lands of Cooge Middle, county Mayo, the property of Michael and Thomas Caulfield. Warrant in the hands of District- Inspector, Tuam:— Dark eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, oval face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 38 years of age, dark brown hair ; wore a hard felt hat, frieze brown coat, cord trowsers. SIPTION of James Gavan, native of Phillips- town, King's County, who stands charged with having, on the Urd day of November, 1885, in the barony of Upper Navan, parish of Trim, committed bigamy :— Rather good- looking, brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, dark hair; wore a long black coat, old tweed trowsers, and rest; is an itinerant tinker, chiefly travels about the counties of Meath, Westmeath, and King's, works at his trade in towns he goes to. DESCRIPTION of Louis Keenan ( mother's surname Quigley), and Francis Brannigan ( mother's surname M'Ardle), natives of Castleblayney, who stand charged with having, on the 24th day of November, 1885, in the barony of Cremorne, parish of Muckno, escaped from the Police when allowed to go to their home for a change of clothing, from the Petty Sessions Court, where they had been convicted of assault on a man named M'Bride, and sentenced to a month each in Dundalk Gaol with hard labour:— 1. Slight stoppage in speech, speaks quick, and wants some of the front teeth, no hair on face, very slight fair moustache, wild gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair; wore a hard round felt hat, light tweed coat, trowsers, and vest, elastic boots; a private gentleman. 2. Old cut mark on forehead, walk with a slight swagger, no beard on face, very slight dark moustache, brown eye?, large nose, fresh sallow complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 19 or 20 years of age, dark hair; wore a round hard felt hat, dark tweed coat, corduroy trow- sers, and tweed vest, elastic side boots ; no trade or occupation, publican's son. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender who, on the 18th November, 1885, absconded from the Glencree Reformatory School, county Wicklow:— John Newsome, No. 1,961; about 15 years of age, 4 feet 10 inches or 5 feet high, tall make, fresh com-" plexion, light brown hair, blue eyes, long nose, ordinary mouth, long visage; cut mark on forehead and the letters " J. N." tattooed on left arm. Formerly belonged to Santry, county Dublin. His parents are dead. The school dress, all with Reformatory stamp, consists of corduroy trowsers, vest, and jacket, cloth ( Scotch make) cap, strong and nailed boots, No. 1,961. As the above jacket has been found near the. pre- mises it is presumed the boy has got some other sort of jacket or coat. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who . may capture him with £ 1. This boy's parents are dealers in old clothes and travel from one market to another, they generally lodge at one Michael Brady's, Castletown- road, Dundalk.
