DESCRIPTION of Henry Lacey, alias Oliver, com- mitted for trial at the next City Sessions at Chester, age 38, height 6 feet 5f inches, complexion sallow, hair turning gray dark, eyes hazel, pockpitted, Union Jack, sailor and gun on chest, large'fish on left side, small ditto right, flag, anchor and star left forearm, bracelet left wrist, anchor back of hand, ring tattooed on each finger of left hand, star and two women right forearm, bracelet and star on wrist, ring on each of three fingers. States he is a native of Australia, and that he was discharged from the 40th Regiment on reduction in 1869. Supposed pre- viously convicted. His wife is at present residing in the county Clare. Was accompanied by two men of the following description, viz:— 1st. A man about 36 or 38- yeirs of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, slender made, reddish moustache, no beard or whiskers, ' English accent, dressed in a black coat and felt hat 2nd. A man about 94 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inchei high, stout made, black beard, whiskers, and moustache, and wearing a light drab overcoat, short make. The above reward is offered by Mr. Semple to any person who will give such information as will lead to the apprehension and conviction pt the thieves and the recovery of the property1;' or in proportion to the amount of property recovered. STOLEN in Ayr, during the last ten weeks, a hammerless breechloadiing 12- bore double- barrelled gun. Makers, Williams & Powell, Liverpool. Right barrel, modified choke; left, cylindrical; top snap actions, with fittings, viz:— Cartridge loading machine, powder and shot measures, screw drivers, and gun cleaners ( 2). The gun is very short in the barrels, and unusually light, only weighing 6| lbs. ; value £ 40. ABSCONDED, on Sunday, the 20th September, 1885, charged with housebreaking, and stealing £ 20 in gold and silver, and a silver 5 cent, piece, from his master's house :— Carl Lemong alias Charles Hotzel, an Alsatian German, hair- dresser, 20 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, medium build, dark complexion and hair, no whiskers; dressed in blue serge suit, and black or gray hard bowler hat. He took a ticket, No. 9394 ( which has not been collected) by the 5.30 p. m. train for Swansea, and stopped in a coffee- house either at Neath or Neyland that night, leaving early the following morning. Supposed to have gone to the south of Ireland. Please cause enquiries to be made at hair- dressers, coffee- houses, & c., and arrest if possible. Warrant issued. PARTICULARS relative to Convict Patrick Myles, A290, convicted in Dublin, at Commission, on 9th June, 1881, for housebreaking, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude:— 25 years of age on con- viction, single, prison trade shoemaker; bom in Limerick city ; resident before conviction in Church- street, Dublin ; dark brown hair, brown eyes, black eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, fresh com- plexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high; butterfly, anchor, and woman on left forearm, and cross on right, boil marks on neck. This man was released from Lusk Prison on licence, 28th July, 1885, and went to reside at No. 4, Lower Cumberland- street, Dublin, which place he has left, without notifying same to the Metropolitan Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. DESCRIPTION of Robert Farquharson, Joint Manager of the Munster Bank Dublin, and Agent fur tho Royal Exchange Assurance Company, Dublin, who disappeared from his residence about mid- day, on the 28th instant, and absconded from his office, leaving his accounts in an unsatisfactory state:— He is about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high, dark hair, dark beard, whiskers, and moustache, slightly tinged with gr.. y, dark fresh complexion, good dark sparkling eyes, prominent teeth, average build, walks with a stoop, dressed in gentlemanly style, generally wears a silk hat; is a native of Scotland. Slovenly gait, large hands and feet, low fore- head, two broad front teeth; gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, very stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a dark frock coat, gray trowsers, and dark vest; is a carter. 2. DESCRIPTION of a brass alms plate, the property of the Venerable Archdeacon Daly, which was stolen from the Protestant Church of Gort, parish of Kil- tartan, barony of Kiltartan, on some date between the 22nd and 25th September, 1885 :— Brass alms plate, 10 inches diameter, circular, engraved with a steeple, 1878, value 15s. The surplice, hood, and stole, which were stolen on the same occasion as the above, und were des- cribed in last Hue- and- Cry, have been recovered, having been found in a neighbouring field. Hall Maxwell, which was lost or stolen from a cart between Clifden and Tully, parish of Ballinakill, barony of Ballinahinch, on the night of 22nd or morning of 23rd instant:— A double- barrelled breech loading fowling piece, pin fire, No. 12 bore, by Thompson, Edinburgh, value for £ 20, enclosed in an India rubber case. Mary Bligh, alias Lynch, native of Ballymoe, who disappeared from her home, in the barony of Bally moe, parish of Drumatemple, on or about the 9th January, 1884, has not been since heard of; Hue- and- Cry, 28th March, 1884. The two persons, names and native places un- known, charged with having assaulted Michael Corcoran, and described in the Hue- and- Cry of the 19th of June last, have not been arrested. Five persons, names and native places un- known, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 18th April, 1885, in the barony of Corkaguiny, parish of Ballinorker, attacked the dwelling- houses of John Cruickshank, Inch, and Daniel Daly, Caherpierce, and taken therefrom six guns, and also with seriously assaulting John Cruick- shank on the same occasion by inflicting four cuts on his head with the stock of a guff, & c., have not been arrested, nor the arms recovered; Hue and- Cry, 24th April, 1885. Vaccination marks, one on right and two on' left arms, blue eyes, regular nose, ruddy complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet inches high, about 24 years of age, light brown hair; wore a military uniform. 2. DESCRIPTION of clothing, the property of Dora Hyland, which were stolen out of her dwelling- house at Derrygrogan, parish of Ballycommon, barony of Phillipstown Lower, on 18th September, 1885, viz.:— One brown tweed Ulster cloak, one brown stocken- knitted jacket, one black cloth jacket, one pair of elastic- side boots, a black satin petticoat, two white petticoats, a black cassimere dress, thirteen yards of muslin, straw colour with blue spots, a red plush hat, a large yellow tie, two calico sheets, and one bolster cover. The watch and chain were taken from the Colonel's quarters, in the borough of Limerick, and parish of St. Michael's, viz.;— Gold half- hunter watch, with monogram " G. H." on back, and gold Albert chain ( link pattern); watch value for £ 10; chain value for £ 3; six linen Collars, marked in ink " O. S. M. Nugent," the property ol Lieutenant Nugent; one long overcoat, of coarse woollen material, gray, yellow, black, and red spots intermingled, five buttons round the collar for putting on a hood, which was not taken ; three pairs of gray drawers, marked " E. S. St A.;" three white under- shirts, of a silky cotton material, marked under breast with " E. S. St. A.," the property of Lieutenant St. Aybun; one shirt ( linen), marked on breast " N. B.;" ten pairs of socks, fine woollen, brown colour, marked on legs " N. B. PARTICULARS relative to Convict Catherine Prender- gast, convicted at Boyle, county Roscommon, at the Hilary Sessions, on the 13th January, 1879, for felony and previous conviction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude and 2 years' Police supervi- sion ;— 70 years of age, is married, is a dealer, prison trade sempstress, born at Claremorris, where she resided before conviction; her friends reside in county Mayo ; gray hair, gray eyes, dark eyebrows, long and thick nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, long visage, slight make, 5 feet and a- half inch high; cut on right eyebrow, lost front teeth. This woman was released on licence from Grange- gorman Prison, on 23rd June, 1884, and went to Claremorris. She left Claremorris on the 20th ult. stating she was going to Knock, but she has not reported herself at the latter place, and her present whereabouts is unknown.
