PARTICULARS relative to Convict Thomas Boyle, A 145, convicted at Londonderry, county Londonderry, at the Hilary Sessions, on the 2nd January, 1880, for robbery ( has been previously convicted), and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude ;— 53 years of age, can read and write a little, is a Roman Catholic, married, is a labourer, born in Londonderry, where he resided before conviction; his friends reside at Strabane; brown hair turning gray, bald, blue eyes, brown heavy eyebrows, regular nose, medium mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 3 inches high; J tattooed on left side, cut scar over right eyebrow. This man was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison, on 1st June, 1885, and went to Strabane. He left Limavady on 23rd June for Ballymena, as he stated, but he has not since reported himself, and his present whereabouts is unknown. When leaving Limavady he had an ass and cart with him. PARTICULARS relative to Convict William Hamilton, or Denis Hayes, or W. E. M'Kenzie, or William Archibold, convicted at the Sessions, Letterkenny, county Donegal, on 20th October, 1880, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 34 years of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Protestant, single, engine driver, prison trade labourer; born in States, Brighton; resided before conviction at Lifford; states he has a sister residing in Glasgow; fair hair, gray eyes, fair eyebrows, sharp nose, medium mouth, pale complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 8J inches high. B. C. tattooed on right side, lost three or four teeth right side of upper jaw, nose appears to have been injured. This convict was released on licence on 22nd December, 1884, and went to Liverpool; he reported himself at Cookstown, on 2nd June, 1885, and stated he was going to Mullingar to look for employ- ment as I engine driver, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present where- abouts is unknown. David Cleary, otherwise Thomas Massicks, convicted at Preston, county Lancaster Sessions, on 20th February, 1884, for stealing saw, level, and cloth case, and sentenced to 12 calendar months, and 5 years' Police supervision:— 25 years of age on conviction, is married, is a labourer or baker, born in Ireland, resided at Preston before conviction; brown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feet 7^ inches high; two moles on left wrist and one right of belly. This is an English Police Supervisee. He left Cahir, county Tipperary, on 1st May, 1885, and stated that he was going to Tipperary, and thence to Cork, but he has not reported himself at either place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. Has the appearance of a tramp, regular nose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 50 years of age; wore a hard black hat, dark jacket, and tweed trowsers. 2. Has the appearanceofatramp, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full face, very stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age; wore a black jerry hat, black frock coat, and gray tweed trowsers. Kildare, DESCRIPTION of John Smith, name believed to be fictitious, who stands charged with having, on the night of 24th or morning of 25th June, 1885, in the parish of Ballysax, stolen a silver watch ( since recovered) from the person of James Masterson, of Ardscul, county Kildare :— Suspicious appearance, down- looking, seldom looks up when spoken to, has a habit of saying " dis " and " das " for this and thus, " d'ass " for the ass, coarse common features, sandy moustache, may have small sandy whiskers, stout make, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, about 26 or 27 years of age, sandy bair; wore a brown tweed coat, new corduroy trowsers; is a tramp; workman for farmers, and navvy. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 25th July, 1885, absconded from the St. Patrick's Reformatory School, Upton, county Cork :— Patrick Butler, No. 1,166, 17 years of age, about 4 feet 11 inches high, proportionate make, fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, regular nose, medium mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to Clonmel; his parents are beggars. The school dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Corduroy trowcers, vett, and tunic, leather belt, Glenagarry cap, leather strapp'ed boots, nailed. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expense of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Ryan, native ( f Toomevara ( Tipperary), but states ho belongs to Ennis, who stands charged with having, on the night of 8th or morning of 9th July, 1885, in the barony of Lower Ormond, parish of Lorrha, broken into the dwelling- house of Richard Willwood, and stolen therefrom 151bs. bacon, 2 pairs of men's boots ( laced), and 1 tweed coat: all value for about £ 2 10s.:— Broad shoulders, walks erect, gray eyes, short thick nose, sandy complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 45 years of age, sandy hair, turning gray ; wore a soft jerry hat, black sack coat, corduroy trowsers, patched and stitched with white thread, tweed vest; has generally a piece of cord tied round trowsers, below knees ; he may be wearing a pair of the stolen boots ; is a labourer on tramp.
