SCOTCH POLICE. \ RENFREWSHIRE CONSTABULARY. WANTED at Paisley, charged with culpable homicide, Philip Lynch, a farm servant, native of Neilston, Renfrewshire, 26 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches in height, brown hair, small whiskers on side of head, gray eyes, round full- faced, rather high cheek bones, fresh complexion, stout make, a little round shouldered. He was then dressed in dark gray tweed cap, with hooked- down peak, gray tweed jacket and trowsers, strong lacing boots; the dress of a farm servant. Accused, who left Rothesay, where he was working on a new road on 16th June curt., was last seen at Glasgow Agricultural Society Show, on 18th curt. He has been a farm servant in Eaglesham, East Kilbride, and Rutherglen. Special search is requested to be made for the accused, and if found, please to apprehend and detain him, and information by telegram or otherwise to be forwarded to the Chief Constable of Renfrewshire, Paisley. PARTICULARS relative to Convict William Hamilton, or Denis Hayes, or W. E. M'Kenzie, or William Archibold, convicted at the Sessions, Letterkenny, county Donegal, on 20th October, 1880, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude :— 34 years of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Protestant, single, engine driver, prison trade labourer; born in States, Brighton; resided before conviction at Lifford; states he has a sister residing in Glasgow; fair hair, gray eyes, fair eyebrows, sharp nose, medium mouth, pale complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet 8| inches high. B. C. tattooed on right side, lost three or four teeth right side of upper jaw, nose appears to have been injured. This convict was released on licence on 22nd December, 1884, and went to Liverpool; he reported himself at Cookstown, on 2nd June, 1885, and stated he was going to Mullingar to look for employ- ment as [ engine driver, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present where- abouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Act 34 & 35 Vic., cap. 112. General Prisons Board, July 16, 1885. ( 30888 m.— 57893.) PARTICULARS relative to English Police Supervisee, David Cleary, otherwise Thomas Massicks, convicted at Preston, county Lancaster Sessions, on 20th February, 1884, for stealing saw, level, and cloth case, and sentenced to 12 calendar months, and 5 years' Police supervision:— 25 years of age on conviction, is married, is a labourer or baker, born in Ireland, resided at Preston before conviction; brown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 6 feet 7- J inches high; two moles on left wrist and one right of belly. This is an English Police Supervisee. He left Cahir, county Tipperary, on 1st May, 1885, and stated that he was going to Tipperary, and thence to Cork, but he has not reported himself at either place, and his present . whereabouts is unknown. DESCRIPTION of Joseph Clarke, native of Hannahs- town, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of July, 1885, in the barony of Shankhill, parish of Upper Belfast, forced open a box and stolen therefrom the sum of £ 9 5 s., the property of his master, Edward M'Quillan:— Gray eyes, long sharp nose, sallow complexion, long thin face, very slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 20 or 21 years of age; brown hair ; wore a brown peaked cap tied with ribbon in front, brown cut- a- way coat, dark trowsers, brown vest, and white muffler; is a farm servant. DESCRIPTION of Daniel Denihy, native of Mushera, who stands charged with having, on the 14th June, 1885, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Drishane, murdered one Michael Cashman :— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7£ inches high, about 24 years of age, dark hair; wore a black coat, corduroy trowsers, and black vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of John Casey, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 18th day of June, 1885, in the barony of Orrery and Kilmore, parish of Buttevant, and townland of Ballybeg, feloniously broken into the dwelling- house of James Grady, and stole several articles of wearing apparel therefrom :— Fresh cut- mark on back of head, short cock nose, pale sallow complexion, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 22 years of age ; wore a soldier's uniform ; is a private, Yorkshire Regiment, Buttevant. DESCRIPTION of Neil O'Donnell, native of Anagry, county Donegal, who stands charged with having, on the 17th June, 1885, in the barony of Boylagh, parish of Templecrone, seriously assaulted one Hannagh O'Donnell, by striking her with his fist on the side, knocking her down and breaking her leg, and thereby endangering her life:— Gray eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 21 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a black cap, gray faded tweed coat, moleskin trowsers, gray tweed vest; is a labourer. The two persons, supposed to be Michael Kelly and his wife, native places unknown, who stand charged on suspicion with having, on the night of 30th November, or morning of 1st December, 1884, in the barony of Banagh, parish of Killaghtee, murdered one Bridget Cunningham, have not been arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 26th December, 1884. DESCRIPTION of a gun, the property of John Hogan, of Gunaune. Whitegate, which was taken out of his house on Sunday, the 7th June, 1885, by some person at present unknown :— A double- barrelled muzzle- loading gun, brazed behind the trigger guard, the right side hammer newer and stronger than that on the left, the heelplate partly warped from the stock. Mary Bligh, alias Lynch, native of Ballymoe, who disappeared from her home, in the barony of Bally- moe, parish of Drumatemple, on or about the 9th January, 1884, has not been since heard of; Hue- and- Cry, 28th March, 1884. DESCRIPTION of two persons, names and native placos unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 14th June, 1885, in the barony of Iveragh, parish of Glenbehy, assaulted Michael Corcoran, of Cahersiveen, on the public highway at Kilkeagh, and fobbed him of the sum of £ 2 4s.:— ]. Has the appearance of a tramp, regular nose, dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 5- inches high, about 50 years of age; wore a hard black hat, dark jacket, and tweed trowsers. 2. Has the appearance of a tramp, regular nose, fresh complexion, round full face, very stout make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age; wore a black jerry hat, black frock coat, and gray tweed trowsers. DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of Mr. Brindsley Fitzgerald, which was stolen from the lands of Ballyplimouth, parish of Ballincuslane, barony of Trughenackmy, on the night of the 9th day of June, 1885:— A red heifer, with white star on forehead, two cuts in the hair on the right hip of about six inches in length; in poor condition; 11 years old ; value for about £ 5. Five persons, names and native places un- j known, who stand charged with having, on the j night of the 18th April, 1885, in the barony of , Corkaguiny, parish of Ballinorker, attacked the dwelling- houses of John Cruickshank, Inch, and Daniel Daly, Caherpierce, and taken therefrom six guns, and also with seriously assaulting John Cruick- shank on the same occasion by inflicting four cuts on his head with the stock of a gun, & c,, have not been arrested, nor the arms recovered; Hue and- Cry, 24th April, 1885. Kildare, DESCRIPTION of Patrick Flanagan, native of Royal Oak, who, on the 24th February, 1885, in the barony of Carbury, parish of Ballinadrimna, strayed away from his employer at Moyvally while in a state of insanity, and may do injury to himself:— Pearl on right eye, good- looking, erect carriage; brown eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a felt hat, brown coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Martin Kelly, native plaee un- known, but lived with farmers in Ballymack, county Kilkenny, who stands charged with having, on the night of 2nd or morning of 3rd July, 1885, in the barony of Shillelogher, parish of Earlstown, stolen a black serge frock coat and a brown tweed trowsers and vdst, the property of John Dooley, of Castleave:— Brown eyes, regular nose, florid complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 45 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hard hat, dark coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark vest; is a labourer A Warrant for Kelly's arrest is in the hands of the District Inspector at Callan. Description of aitic'es stolen :— A black serge frock coat, with pockets on hips, and inside breast pocket, a tweed trowsers and vest, lined with white calico ; all nearly new, and value for about £ 2 Is. 6c?. DESCRIPTION of a greyhound dog, which was stolen from the house of Arthur Fennell, of Knockadogue, parish of Dysart, barony of Fassadinnin, on night of 23rd, or morning of 24th June, 1885 :— A greyhound dog, large size, white colour, having one ear black, and black spot on right hip, and answers to the name of " Master Hubert" This dog has won several valuable stakes at coursing matches ; valued at £ 100. DESCRIPTION of an ass, the property of Terence Reilly, which was stolen from off the lands of corracar, parish of Carrigallen, barony of Carrigallen, on night of 5th July, 1885 :— A she ass, light gray colour, middle size, light limbs, shod on fore- feet, tender on left forefoot, hair off shoulder under collar; 7 years old; value for £ 2. DESCRIPTION of John Mulvey, native of Drumliffin, who stands charged with having, on the 10th day of July, 1885, in the barony of Leitrim, parish of Kil- toghart, violently assaulted one Michael Cox, by striking him on the head with a spade, thereby causing his death on 11th instant:— Much wrinkled about the eyes, which are small and blue, long nose, fresh complexion, long red face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 65 years of age, gray hair; wore a dark frieze or tweed coat, cord trowsers, and tweed vest; is a small farmer and a thatcher. It is likely he will try to emigrate to America, or. go over to England for some time. Car.- on- Shan., July 12, 1885. ( 69304 o.— 20503.) Four men, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 4th of May, 1885, in the barony of Drumahaire, parish of Drumreilly, been of a party of five armed men, who forcibly entered the dwelling- house of Patrick M'Morrow, of Fahy, threatened the inmates, and seized and carried away a gun), described in tho Huo- and- Cry, of tho 12th of May, not arrested. John M'Morrow, who stands charged with having, on the 13th May, 1885, ( failed to appear at Dowra Petty Sessions, to give evidence in a case of house attack by an armed party and robbery of arms, as bound by his recognizance), not arrestod ; Hue- and- Cry, 19th May, 1885. DESCRIPTION of Daniel Leahy, native of Drum- trassna- O'Brien, who stands charged with having, on the 4th day of June, 1885, in the barony ol Glen- quin, parish of Abbeyfeale, been one of a party of disguised and armed men, who took and carried away a gun, the property of Edward Fitzgerald, out of the dwelling- house of Ellen Fitzgerald :— Good- looking and pleasing appearance, straight, walks erect, remarkably large full gray eyes, regular noso, fair complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 23 or 24 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a jerry hat, dark coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark vest; is a farmer's son. DESCRIPTION of two persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, cn the morning of the 2nd instant, in the barony of Costello, parish of Aughamore, stolen two ewe sbeep and two lambs, the property of James Keane, of Barnahesker;— 1. Fair complexion, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, fair hair, small fair side whiskers ; wore a daik frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark fiieze vest Came from the direction of Kilmoree on 1st instant. 2. A small pale wrinkled face old man, tender eyes, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 65 years of age; wore a ragged coat, cord trowsers. Came from tho direction of Kilmoree on 1st instant, in company with No. 1. Warrant in the hands of District Inspector at Swinford for arrest. Description of sheep and lambs:— Two ewe sheep, four years old; one of them had a small black spot on right side of jaw near mouth ; in poor condition ; value for about 26s. each. Tipperary. ) DESCRIPTION of Patrick Ryan, native of Toomevara ( Tipperary), but states he belongs to Ennis, who stands charged with having, on the night of 8th or morning of 9th July, 1885, in the barony of Lower Ormond, parish of Lorrha, broken into the dwelling- house of Richard Willwood, and stolen therefrom 151bs. bacon, 2 pairs of men's boots ( laced), and 1 tweed coat: all value for about £ 2 10s.:— Broad shoulders, walks erect, gray eyes, short thick nose, sandy complexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 45 years of age, sandy hair, turning gray ; wore a soft jerry hat, black sack ooat, corduroy trowsers, patched and stitched with white thread, tweed vest; has generally a piece of cord tied round trowsers, below knees ; he may be wearing a pair of the stolen boots ; is a labourer on tramp.
