Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. • • Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information it is almost impossible to rectify the mistake. COMMITTED for trial to the Quarter Sessions for house- breaking:— William Smith, alias Bangh, 30 years of age, labourer, native of Wolverhampton, where he left when 10 years old, 6 feet 2 inches high, fair com- plexion, light moustache, whiskers shaved off, blue eyes, cast in right eye, brown hair, proportionate figure, residence 72, Carlisle- street, East Sheffield. Edward Doren, 23 years of age, labourer, native of Armacane, county Armagh, Ireland, 5 feet 10£ inches high, dark complexion, black moustache, whiskers shaved off, gray eyes, black hair, proportionate figure, no fixed place of abode. DESCRIPTION of a man wanted here, charged with Stealing a cash box containing £ 4, & c., from a grocer's shop at Longsight on the 31st ulto., in company with a man pamed William Henry Barrett under remand at Strangeways Court:— About 23 or 24 years of age, 5 fefet 8 inches high, pale light complexion, light moustache, whiskers and beard shaved off, slightly pock- pitted, speaks with a London accent; dressed in a black worsted cloth coat and vest, dark tweed trowsers with white stripe down side, lying- down collar, broad tie with gold horseshoe pin set with several small imitation diamonds, black billycock hat, and yellow kid gloves, and of very respectable appearance; goes under the name of Charles Clarke, alias " Con;" was liberated from Walton Gaol on the 26th or 27th ult., having been doing a mdnth for attempting to rob a till in Liverpool; has also done several terms of imprison- ment in London for till robberies. He is now working in company with a young man named Fred Bridge, a native of Manchester, and who is of the following description :— About 23 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, fresh complexion, broad full face, slight light moustache, stout build, dressed in a new black worsted coat and vest, very heavy gold Albert watch- guard with very large seal attached, he is a solicitor's clerk ; has two brothers residing in Manchester, who have been convicted in London for till robbery; these two men are now going from town to town committing till robberies; they also attend race meetings, and some- times make a book at races; it is strongly believed they are either in London or Liverpool; they are well known to the Police at both places. Bridge has lived In the neighbourhood of Soho- street, Liverpool, with a prostitute from the latter end of January to the latter end of Marsh, this year. It is earnestly requested that every possible inquiry bo made, and, if met with, please apprehend and communicate with Mr. Superintendent BENT. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Glynn, who is in custody at Manchester, and remanded till 7th instant, charged with being in possession of a silver lever watch, No. Z458, and gold Albert chain, graduated curb with appendage, blood stone on one side, and a wine- coloured stone on the other, for which an owner is wanted :— 27 years of age, 5 feet 9J inches high, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, proportionate build, oval face, prominent nose, a groom by occupation ; scar on right of forehead, long scar on left thigh, a scar over each eyebrow; is under Police supervision, and was in Ire- land during the Royal Visit. Glynn had also in his possession twelve fourpenny postage stamps, a five- shilling piece, dated 1821, and cash £ A 18s., all • apposed to have been stolen. WANTED by Warrant for embezzlement, Alexander Young Wilson:— 43 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, sandy hair, bald on top of head, sandy beard and moustache turning gray, walks lame on right leg, smart appearance; dressed in light check tweed trowsers, black cloth coat and vest, black billycock hat, and black macintosh overcoat . He absconded on the 24th instant, after collecting an account of £ 76, and may endeavour to emigrate. It is requested that careful search and inquiry be made at hotels, shipping offices, & c., and any infor- mation obtained forwarded to the Chief Constable of Manchester, who holds the Warrant for his appre- hension. Licence- holder Patrick Murphy, described in Hue- and- Cry of 10th of last June, has not been arrested. SCOTCH POLICE. PERTHSHIRE CONSTABULARY. STOLEN between 1st November, 1884, and 10th April, 1885 ( the bulk supposed to be about latter date), from the hill pasture of Inverlochlaraig, in the parish of Balquhidder, and county of Perth, forty or thereby black- faced two- year old wethers, marked as follows :— Eel- stab on the near and crop off far lug, the letter J, together with a star ( thus *) on left horn; all were dipped in November, and marked with red keel on rump ; they were in lean condition. Also one hundred or thereby black- faced ewes, of different ages, marked as follows:— Eel- stab on the near and crop off far lug, the letter J on left horn, together with a figure ( 2 to 6), denoting age, the letter S in tar on left shoulder; all were dipped in November, and marked with red keel on back of head; the bulk of them are in lamb. The Police are requested to make particular search and inquiry at auction sales, railway stations, graziers, shepherds, and others, for the above- described sheep, and forward any information obtained to the subscriber. DESCRIPTION of twenty sheep, the property of Michael Mulroe, of Greenane, which were maliciously destroyed or stolen from the lands of Dirkbeg, in the parish of Ross, barony of Ross, between the 24th and 29ih ultimo, viz.; — Twenty black- faced mountain sheep, mixed wethers and ewes, one of the ewes in lamb, thirteen branded with the letters M. M. on light horn and right side, small bit cut out of top and side of right car, seven branded with the letters T. T. on left horn and left tide, in fair condition ; value for £ 2 ouch. Kerry. DESCRIPTION of William Daly, native of Kilfallinga, who stands charged with having, on the 19th April, 1885, at Gurranedarrig, in the barony of Trugbon- ackmv, parish of Currans, assaulted Timothy Sullivan, by kicking him in the abdomen, thereby endangering his life :— Slightly bow- legged, head stooped forward, has a habit of keeping his hands in his trowsers' pockets, gray eyes, long nose, fair complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark frock coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer. DESCRIPTION of five guns, the property of John Cruickshank, and one, the property of Daniel Daly, which were forcibly taken from their dwelling- houses at Inch and Caherpierce respectively, in tho parish of Ballinvoher, and barony of Corkaguiny, on the night of Saturday, the 18th April, 1885, by an armed party of moonlighters, viz:— 1. A double- barrelled muzzle loader, No. 108, maker's name, Moore, London. 2. A double- barrelled muzzle loader, a small hole on one of the barrels ( supposed right one), maker's name, Snowy, Inverness. 8. Two pair double- barrelled muzzle loaders, one of the. barrels sighted as a rifle, a small hole on one barrel ( right one). 4. A large strand fowling- piece, single- barrelled, one of the keepers for ramrod lost, two keepers on stock. ) 5. One single- barrelled gun, noarly new; tho whole value for about £ 57. DESCRIPTION of five persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 18th April, 1885, inthi barony of Corkaguiny, parish of Ballinorker, attacked the dwelling- houses of John Cruickshank, Inch, and Daniel Daly, Caherpierce, and taken therefrom six guns, and also with seriously assaulting John Cruick shank on the same occasion by inflicting four cuts on his head with the stock of a gun, Ac,:— 1. 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 50 years of age, long red beard, which may be false ; wore a soft hat and long oiled coat. 2. 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 25 years of age, side whiskers, shaves the chin ; wore a soft hat and oiled coat; he carried a double- barrel gun. 3. 5 feet 5 inches high, no beard or whiskers ; wore a soft hat, gray coat; carried a single- barrel' gun, and wore a leather belt. 4. 5 feet 4 inches high, age not known ; wore a fur cap, had a bag apparently round his body, had a white mask over his face, and carried a watch. 5. 5 feet 5 inches high, about 19 years of age ; wore a brown coat, and had a robe round his waist. Kildare, DESCRIPTION of Patrick Flanagan, native of Royal Oak, who, on the 24th February, 1885, in the barony of Carbury, parish of Ballinadrimna, strayed away from his employer at Moyvally while in a state of insanity, and may do injury to himself:— Pearl on right eye, good- looking, erect carriage; brown eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a felt hat, brown coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of James Farrell, no fixed residence, states he is a native of county Wexford, who stands charged with having, on the 3rd May, 1885, in tho haronv of Galmoy, parish* of Urlingford, absconded from Urlingford Union Workhouse, taking with him clothing, the property of the Guardians of said union:— Fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 4 feet 5 inches high, about 12 or 13 years of age, fair hair; wore a light gray tweed cap, lined with brown canvas, dxrk brown frieze coat, unlined except sleeves, which are lined with white calico, corduroy trowscrs, gray tweed vest, lined with calico, a pair of boots, and cotton stockings, having the union brand on them, and a calico shirt— all workhouse clothing. DESCRIPTION of four men, names and native places unknown, who 6tand charged with having, on the 4th of May, 1885, in the barony of Drumahaire, parish of Drumreilly, been of a party of five armed men, who forcibly entered the dwelling- house of Patrick M'Morrow, of Fahy, threatened the inmates, and seized and carried away a gun :— 1. Shaved face, slight moustache, large eyes, regular nose, round red face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair ; wore a round hard hat, dark frock coat, and dark tweed trowsers. 2. Very thin fair whiskers, regular nose, fair complexion, broad freckled face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair ; wore a black soft hat, old dark coat, and dark tweed trowsers. 8. Face shaved, small fair moustache, fair com- plexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 23 years of age, dark hair ; wore a broad soft hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest. 4. Regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair ; wore a dark coat and trowsers. t.. H. Smith and Son :— Dark eyes, regu lar nose, fresh fomplexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 32 years of age, dark haj » , and heavy dark moustache; wore a low hard hit; dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; served in the Marines under the name " M'Mahon." Coleraine, attempted to commit a certain crime against nature, and having indecently assaulted one Robert John Barr :— Walks with short steps, very polite hi his manners ; gray eyes, regular nose, red complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 45 years of age, sandy hair; wears all his beard, which is red and not very thick, getting bald on the top of the head; wore a black frock coat, brown trowsers, and black vest; is a grocer. DESCRIPTION of John FitzPatrick, • native of Clonard, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd April, 1885, in the barony of Maryboro' West, parish of Clonenagh, failed to appear at Mountrath Petty Sessions, to give evidence in a case of assault and robbery as bouud by his recognizance :— Lightly pockpitted, gray or blue eyes, long hooked nose, pale freckled complexion, long face, slight make, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about 55 or 60 years of age, gray hair; wore a Jem Crow hat, long dark coat, corduroy trowsers, and dark tweed vest, all much worn ; is a pump borer arid labourer; known by the sobriquet 6f " Jack the llittle" in several pans of Queen's County. DESCRPTION of William Smith, alias Alexander M'Fadden ( mother's surname M'Fadden), native of Belfast, who stands charged on suspicion with having, on the llth day of May, 1885, at Cartron, in the barony of Carbury, parish of Calry, maliciously set fire to, and burned a large rick of hay, the property of James Nelson, Esq., Mayor of Sligo ; he has been remanded until 18th inst., to enable further inquiry being made about him, as he may have conimitted crime elsewhere :— Scofulla and carbuncles on face, brown eyes, regular nose, swarthy complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 17 years of age, brown hair; wore an old black felt hat, crown broken in, faded tweed coat, dark tweed trows, rs, and dark vest; is a tramping ballad singer. Description of the heifer; — Two years old, dark red colour, with a white spot on left side, tail rather short, crooked in horns ; value for £ 10.
