Drancourt:— A journalist or surveyor, 29 years of age, 5 feet 2£ inches high, proportionate build, brown hair, bald fore part of head, reddish brown moustache, gray eyes, fair complexion, slightly freckled, oval features, respectable appearance, of good address, can speak French; dressed when last seen in adark suit, snuff coloured overcoat, and black hard felt hat; had a new Macintosh coat, generally wears a massive gold ring with imitation diamond on third finger, right hand; he was convicted at Wakefield Sessions, 12th August, 1878, of fraud, after previous conviction of forgery, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude and 3 years' supervision; he has several crossed cheques payable to John J. or J. J. Lawkins, " Catholic Times " Office, Liverpool, in his possession, and may endeavour to negotiate them. DESCRIPTION of Alexandre ( or Auguste) Wallman, charged on Warrant with obtaining £ 174 by false pretences, on the 28th January, 1885, by cheque on Credit Lyonnais, Paris:— A Russian, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, slight build, large nose, sallow complexion, dark brown hair, light moustache, no beard or whiskers, blue or grayish eyes. Speaks good English, and said he was a Mining Engineer and Colliery Proprietor in Russia, and came to England to learn about colliery plant and machinery, with a view of introducing improvements in his own colliery in Russia. Dressed in long black Chesterfield overcoat, high silk hat. Is a good violinist; has with him a violin and case, calls on music sellers, and negotiates for buying a violin. Calls for letters at Post Office. Draws cheques on Nord Deutsche Bank, Helsingfors, and Credit Lyonnais, Paris. Accompanied by his wife, Olga Wallman, a Russian, who speaks but very little English, about 25 years of age, strong build, dark complexion, round face, and about the same height as Wallman. Supposed to be dressed in black felt hat with feather, long black silk jacket trimmed with black fur round bottom, and gray linsey dress. Has a baby about 9 months old. Their luggage consisted of a large oak colour tin box, a black box with brass nails in it, a cradle, some bundles, and a hat box. Five Pounds will be paid to any one who will give information that may lead to the apprehension of the said Alexandre Wallman. This man is an accomplished swindler, and will no doubt commence his swindling operations in some other part of England. Police Officers are therefore requested to make inquiries for him at shipping offices, hotels, lodging houses, music- sellers, concert leaders, 4c., and, if found, to arrest him and tele- graph to Mr. SINCLAIR, Head Constable, Newport, Mori. WANTED for theft of three watches entrusted to him to repair, between the 1st November and 20th January last, Stephen Johns:— A collier or jobbing watchmaker, about 85 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, light brown hair and moustache, whiskers shaved off, hazel eyes, fresh complexion, slender build, speaks with an English accent ; wore a black hard felt hat, gray tweed jacket, dark cord vest and trowsers. Has a smart military appearance; served 12 years in the 21st Regiment, and was discharged in August, 1883. D., parish of Caharagh, stolen a two- year- old heifer ( since recovered), the property of Denis Collins :— 1. Blue eyes, ordinary nose, sandy complexion, round face, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, sandy hair; wore a gray tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest. 2. 5 feet 5 inches high, about 22 years of age ; wore a gray tweed cloak. Cork : Patrick Buttler, 17 years of age, 4 feet 11 inches high, proportionate m » ke, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, ordinary nose, medium mouth ; formerly belonged to Cappawhite, coupty Tipperary ; his parents reside at Beggins. The school dress consists of corduroy trowsers and sleeved corduroy waistcoat, dark tweed coat, leather belt, blue striped shirt, all with Reformatory stamp ; Glengarry cap, and nailed boots fastened with leather straps. The mother of this boy is a blind woman, begging about the country, having three, or four children along with her. DESCRIPTION of two persons, supposed to be Michael Kelly and his wife, native places unknown, who stand charged on suspicion with having, on the night of 30th November, or morning of 1st December, 1884, in the barony of Banagh, parish of Killaghtee, murdered one Bridget Cunningham:— 1. Swaggering gait, brown moustache, small side whiskers, brown eyes, regular nose, rather pale com- plexion, round full face, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 35 or 40 years of age, black hair, turning gray; wore a round black felt hat, old gray coat rather long, dark coloured trowsers; is an itinerant fiddler. 2. Blue eyes, long pointed nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 30 years of age, sandy hair; wore an old dark gray shawl; is a tramp, and accompanies No. 1 from town to town. DESCRIPTION of James Waters, alias M'Manus, who, at Coolock Petty Sessions, on 16th instant, was committed for trial, at the next Commission, on the charge of having, on 16th August, 1882, at the races of Baldoyle, in the barony of Coolock, stolen from the person of Garard Irvine a silver watch, for which he was arrested in the early part of this month in the city of Manchester :— Scar on lower lash of right eye; slightly hump- backed, blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, thin face, prominent forehead, high cheek bones, slight make, 6 feet 6 inches high, about 28 years of age, light brown hair, whiskers, beard, and moustache. When arrested he had the following articles in his possession :— A ring with ruby set between two diamonds ; a large gold stud ; and a gold chain, Albert curb pattern, 18 carat. Description of the property :— An oil cotit, new, the property of the D. W. and W. Railway Company, No. 52 on one of the skirts inside at corner, buttonholes and pockets cased with leather; a pair of woman's boots, laced, nearly new; a black shawl with silk fringe, new; a new plaid skirt, brown and black, with small crossbar; MARCH 10, 1885. a black velvet lady's jacket, small, fits the waist tight, a maroon- coloured skirt, trimmed with black velvet; a small round coat ( man's), black serge ; and a red carpet bag; all value for about £ 2 10s. DESCRIPTION of Cornelius Hunt, native of Car- hoocragh, who stands charged with having, on the llth day of January, 1885, in the barony of Irraghticonnor, parish of Knockanure, being found out of his abode, under sec. 11 of Prevention of Crime Act, and sentenced to 3 months' imprison- ment, which sentence was affirmed on appeal on 30th ultimo, but absconded before new Warrant was issued. The shool dress all with Reformatory stamp, consists of corduroy trowsers, vest, and tunic, elastic belt, blue cloth cap ( Scotch), and strong blucher boots. This boy absconded with Thomas Bryan, a Waterford boy. DESCRIPTION of Isaac Fisher, native of Ballybay, who stands charged with having, on the morning of the 30th January, 1885, in the barony of Dartrey, parish of Aghabog, stolen out of the dwelling- house of John Richardson, of Drumbrain, where he was lodging, a Boston lever watch which has since been recovered :— Tatooed on both wrists, dark and tender eyes, thin nose, fair complexion, long thin face, slight make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 28 or 30 years of age, dark brown hair, wears moustache; wore a low soft hat, gray frock coat, brown coloured trowsers and vest, and old boots; is a flax scutcher. May be wearing new dark tweed trowsers he bought in Clones. Served in the army, and is a militia man. Likely to be found working at some scutch mill in county Monaghan or neighbouring counties. DESCRIPTION of a person, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on tho 29th December, 1884, at Clorogemore, in the barony of Scarawalsh, parish of Templeshambo, fired at and wounded John Murphy, gamekeeper :— Brown eyes, slightly cocked nose, sandy or fair complexion, round full face, medium make, active appearance, about 5 feet 8 inches high, about 32 years of age, light or brown hair j wore a soft hat, old faded or dirty tweed clothes, and in the coat there was a grayish stripe; is a poacher. This man was poaching when he fired the shot, and was accompanied by another man about the same age and size, and somewhat similarly dressed. They had with them a red setter, with white muzzle, and tip of tail believed to be white, and a black dog, supposed a cross between a pointer and grayhound.
