Katie*.— It it requested that all oommunicationi for the purpose of obtaining or giving information respecting supposed b Tenders, or stolon property, may bear the Signature of the person requiring or tending the same, and all applications in reference to the POLICE GAZETTE may be made and addressed to the Editor, Polios Court, Bow Street, London, W. O. %• Whenever it it desired that any person should be appre- hended, and the Name is given, it is indispensably necessary that an information should be made and sworn to before a Magistrate, « f the Offence charged, and an attested copy thereof, together with the advertisement, forwarded to the Editor for insertion. At no charge is made for the insertion of any article in the POLICE GAZETTE, all Letters addressed to the Editor must be prepaid, otherwise the insertion will not be made. The Names and Descriptions of Deserters from the Army, and • f Absentees and Deserters from the Militia, should be forwarded os War Office Forms 88 and 88A, to the Editor, above, for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE. Advertisements offering rewards must stats clearly;—( 1) The amount of the reward. ( 2) The conditions on which it is payable. ( 8). The person by whom it will be paid. They should be signed or accompanied by a letter, signed by tne persons forwarding them. They should contain no expression! holding out any expectation of reward for the return of the property, without khe apprehension of the offender. INFORMATIONS. MURDER AND MALICIOUSLY WOUNDING. Whereas, on 15th instaut, a small Manilla or straw bag was found in George Street, near the Royal Infirmary, Man- chester, containing the Dead Body of a Female Child, wrapped in a piece of black atull; the Child apparently was new born, • partially covered with blood, and a small mark over right eye. An inquest was held on 17ih instant, and a verdict of ' Wilful • Murder' returned, ' against some person or personB unknown.' Notice is hereby given, that Her Majesty's Government offer A REWARD of £ 50 to any person ( other than a person belonging to a Police Force in the United Kingdom) who shall give such infor- mation slid evidence as shall lead to the discovery and con- viction of the Murderer or Mmderers, and the Secretary of State will advise the Grant of Her Majesty's Graci in PARDON to any Accomplice not being the person who actually com mitted the Murder, whs shall give suih evidence as shall lead to a like result. HARRY HAMMOND SWINDELLS, wanted for the murder of James Wild, on 16th July last, advertised an Police Gazette of 20th July, 1833 :— was seen on the platform at Preston Railway Station, on the evening of 20th instant, by the widow of the murdered man, who called out ' that is HARRY,' when he ran away and made his escape. £ 100 reward. ANTHONY HENRY, wanted for the murder of Patrick " McGinty, in Lawson- street, Preston, on the afternoon of 3rd instant, advertised in Police Gazette of 12th instant, is still . at large. Information to Captain Little, Chief Constable, Borough Police Station, PRESTON-, Lancashire.— Bow- street, September 24. Wanted, for the Murder of John Dukes, in Hill- street, Biimingham, on the night of 5th ult.:— MARTIN McGANN, • about 21 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, brown hair, fair complexion, slightly freckled, proportionate build, cat scar on left cheek, walks erect, anl speaks slowly with an Irish accent; dressed in dark coat, brown trousers, and silk . handkerchief round neck ; a wood button turner to trade ; and WILLIAM RYAN, 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, dark hair, sallow complexion, thin build ; dressed in a dark cutaway coat, black greasy trousers; a brass caster bv trade. They absconded on 25th ultimo, both having lived iu Grosvenor- street, Ladywood, Birmingham, and formerly in I'saington- street, Birmingham. A verdict of Wilful Murder . against them was returned by the Coroner's Jury on 13th instant, and the Coronor has issued his warrants for their apprehension. Description of JOHN ALFRED BUROAN, l » te manager < f the Union Bank, Birmiugham, who absconled from Birmingham on 18th instant, and who is wanted ou a warrant for Forgery ;— he is 31 years of age ( looks 37), 5 ft. 11 inches, or 6 feet, high, well built, long black bushy whiskers and noustache, has a red blood wart, or mole, right side of mouth, which is nearly bidden by the beard. May- have shaven off his whiskers, &\ ; generally dressed in black frock coat, light trousers, ai d silk hat. lie is strongly believed to be now in the countiy, hiding, and will try and emigrate. £ 100 reward on arrest and conviction. HOESE AND CATTLE STEALING The Pony sold at Biggleswade, and advertised in Police Oazette of 1- 9 th instant, has been restored tj- the owner ; the man who sold the same, is still at large. — Bow- street .• September 28. Stolen from Mendkiham on 24t'a inUnt:- a chestnut . mare Pony, aged, about 12 hands high, near eye blemished, lame in'near snoulder, arc! has the letter ' G ' or ' C branded on ono side ( not known which). Supposed by two men, one about 25 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high/ dark cam plexion, clean shaven face, blood shetten eyes ; dressed inlcng dark ( soldier's) coat and double peaked cap. The other is considerably shorter in stature, about 35 years of age, fair complexion, and very light moustache ; dressed in light colored coat and black soft billy- cock hat. Both men had the Appearance of fish sellers, and had in their possession a fiah cart containing two or three small hampers; a small black ponj was fourd killed in a ditch, riot far from where the above was stolen, and which had been in the possession of these men a few days previous.
