BENJAMIN TAYLOR, gamekeeper, Doonside, near Ayr, has been amissing since Friday, 26th ult., on which day he was in Ayr transacting business and paying acqounts. He had about £ 25 in bank notes on him, anda gold lever watch ( No. 18,024), attached thereto a strong Albert silver chain. He was seen in Ayr about 7.30 P. M. of said date, since which ho has not been seen or heard of:— He is about 40 years of age, 5 feet. 8 inches or thoreby in height, proportional make, auburn curly liuir, full board and whiskers all round, scar on left side of head, above left temple. Dress— Dark tweed jackot, vest, and trowsers, round black felt hat, and elastic- sido boots. In caso he may have met with foul ploy, I will feel obliged if you will be so good as to instruct your officers to search for said watch, and, if any trace found, communicate with D. Given at Dublin Castle, this 10th day of November, 1882. DESCRIPTION of the four men, wanted for the murder of Lord F. Cavendish and Mr. Burke, the Chief and Under Secretaries for Ireland, in the Phoenix Park, on Saturday, 6th May, 1882, between 7 and 8 P. M. : 1. About 35 years old, stout moke, dork complexion, hair, whiskers, and moustache recently clipped, so as to give a bristling appertraiics, narrow forehead, natural hollow or dinge on bridge of nose; wore a soft black jerry hot and dark clothes. 2. About 30 years, sandy hoir, whiskers, ond moustache; brown faded coot, os if much exposed to sun, soft block jerry hat. . 3". About 20 years, small dork moustache, no whiskers ; soft block hat and dark clothes. 4, About 30 years, sandy liair and moustache, beard on chin; wore dark clothes and soft black hat. The height cannot be given of any, all being sitting onj an outside- eitr, driven by a man between 35 ond 40 yejirs, red bloated face, with a few days' growth of beard on ; dark or brown coat, supposed frieze, and low soft black hat. r The horse was a bay or chestnut, of good action, and the cor had either a dark green or a, red panel. - The men had the appearance of sailors or well- to- do artisans.— JOHN MALLON, Superintendent. Field, of Westmoreland street, in this city, was, on the evening of the 27th November instant, about six o'clock, at North : Frederick- street, in this city, feloniously and malici- ously stabbed ond wounded by some person or persons, who immediately afterwards got on an out- side car which was waiting in Hardwicke- street, and drove off ropidly through Hardwicke- place : Now, We, John Poyntz, Earl Spencer, Lord Lieutenant- General and General- Governor of Ire- land, for the better apprehending arid bringing to justice the offenders and their accomplices, hereby offer a reward of FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS to any person or persons who, within three months from the date hereof, shall give such information as will lead to the conviction of the said offenders or their accomplices, or ony of them. WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the 2nd February, 1882, His Excellency offered a reward of Five Hundred Pounds to any person or persons who should, within a limited time therein specified, give such information as wonld lead to the conviction of the person or porsons who committed the Murder of John Lennane, of Breffa South, near Miltown Malbay, in the county of Clare, on the night of the 24th January, 1882: And whereas the time therein specified for giving such information has expired: And His Excellency is pleased to renew the said offer, and doth hereby offer a reward of ONE THOUSAND POUNDS to any person or persons who, within six months from the date hereof, shall give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the person or persons who committed this Murder. DESCRIPTION of James Kelly ( supposed fictitious) ( mother's surname O'Hara), native of Killasser, near Swinford, county Mayo, who stands charged with having, on the 1st March, 1888, in the barony of Tulla Upper, parish of Feakle, failed to give a satisfactory account of himself, and has been re- manded for eight days pending inquiries, as he may have committed some crime:— Brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark hair; woro a low round hat, brown tweed frock coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest, military boots, marked North Hampshire, 934; also wore as drawers a military trowsers, marked 934, and a military shirt; is a stone mason. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender wno, on tho 2nd March, 1883, absconded from the St Patrick's Reformatory School at Upton, county Cork :— James Deegan, 17 years of age, about 5 feet 21 inches high, proportionate make, sallow com- plexion, brown hair, blue eyes, regular nose, medium mouth; formerly belonged to Athy, county Kildare, • where his parents reside. The school dress consists of corduroy trowsers and sleeved corduroy waistcoat, drab tunic with leather belt, blue striped shirt, all with Reformatory stamp ; Glengarry cap, nailed boots fastened with leather straps. This boy absconded with Patrick and Michael Heffeman and Patrick Dorgan. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expense of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Doyle, native of Letallion, who left his father's house, at Letallion, in the barony of Upper Iveagh, parish of Kilcoo, on 23rd February, 1883, and has not since been heard of, and it is, therefore, thought that he may have met with foul play:— Blue eyes, short nose, fresh com- plexion, plump face, stout make, 4 feet high, about 12 years of age ; wore a black cap, dark tweed coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest, red and white spotted handkerchief round his neck ; is the son of a small farmer Rathfriland, March 4, 1883. DESCRIPTION of Patrick M'Donald, alias Nelson, native of Portadown, who stands charged with having, on the 1st inst., in the barony of Kinalarty, parish of Magheradrole, entered the dwelling- house of Robert Martin, in his absence, and stolen therefrom clothing, 6ome of which he pawned in Lisburn, and he is wearing the rest:— Regular nose, fair complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 17 yaars of age; wore a gray cap with tassel, black cloth dress coat, gray trowsers, and black cloth vest; the black cloth dress coat will be rather large for him; is a tramp, frequenting the counties of Antrim, Armagh, Louth, and Down. WHEREAS at or about the hour of twenty minutes past three o'clock, P. M., on Thursday, the 8th June, instant, Walter M. Bourke, Esq., of Rahassane Park, Craughwell, in the county of Galway, and Corporal Wallace, of the Royal Dragoons, were shot dead on the road close to one of the gates of Castle Taylor Demesne, near Ardrahan, in the said county, by some person or persons at present unknown : His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of these Murders, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of TWO THOUSAND POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the person or persons, or any of them, who committed the said Murders. And a further reward of ONE THOUSAND POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result. His Excellency is also pleased to offer in addition to the above rewards a FREE PARDON and the Special Protection of the Crown in any part of Her Majesty's Dominions to any person concerned in, or privy to, the said Murders other than the person orpersons who actually committed the same, in case of his giving such information as shall lead to the con- viction of the persons, or any of them, concerned in the Murders aforesaid. And whereas an3- person who knowingly receives into his or her house or otherwise harbours or maintains any of the persons who committed the said Murders, or conceals or aids any of them in escaping or endeavouring to escape from justice becomes liable to penal servitude for life : His Excellency is pleased hereby to offer a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within three months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the CONVICTION of any person who has so received, harboured, maintained, or concealed, or assisted in endeavouring to escape from justice, or who shall receive, harbour, maintain, or conceal, or assist in endeavouring to escape from justice, any of the persons who committed the said Murders. DESCRIPTION of four persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 19th February, 1883, in the barony of Coonagh, parish of Doon, seriously assaulted Denis Ryan and James Duggan :— 1. Long face, active make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age; wore a soft jerry hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and rest. 2. Small fair moustache and side whiskers, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 22 years of age; wore a soft black hat, gray tweed coat, and gray tweed trowsers. 3. DESCRIPTION of one cow and two calves, tlieproperty of Mrs. Mary Mulervy, which were stolen from the lands of Derrynavogy, parish of Columbkille, barony of Granard, on the 5th day of March, 1883 :— 1. A brown stripper cow, 7 years old, white star on forehead, in good condition; value for about £ 16. f. 2. A yearling heifer calf, brown colour, in good condition ; value for £ 7. 3. DESCRIPTION of Michael M'Namara ( mother's sur- name Caulfield , native of Coogue Middle, who stands charged on suspicion with haying, on the night of the 23rd February, 1882, in the barony of Costello, parish of Bekan, being one of an armed party who entered tho house of David Freely, of Brackloughboy, and murdered his son, Patrick Freely:— Clean face without any beard or whiskers, brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, medium make, C feet 6 inches high, about 23 years of a^ e, brown hair; wore a " round hard hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Hannon, alias Moran ( mother's surname Moran), native of Edmondstown, who stands charged with having, on the 14th day of February, 1883, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilcolman, assaulted Joseph Campbell, by striking him on the head with a stone, thereby fracturing his skull:— Walks with a swaggering gait, slightly knockkneed, and clumsy appearance, round shoulders, and small mole on face; gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair slightly tinged with gray ; wore a frieze coat, cord browsers, and frieze vest; is a labourer. He was on bail to take his trial at Monaghan Spring Assizes, 1883, for an attempted rape;— Walks erect, smart nppearance, good- looking; brown eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 25 years of age, dark brown hair, small dark whiskers and moustache; wore a tweed coat, cord trowsers, and tweed vest; is a cattle dealer. DESCRIPTION of John M'Clean ( name supposed to bo fictitious), who stands charged, on remand, with stealing a pair of socks, on 24th inst., out of the dwelling- house of George Kinnornly, farmer, parish of Kilmanman, barony of Tinnahinch, townland of ' Coolagh, Queen's County:— Prominent front teeth, large thick lips, high chcek bones, gray eyes, short thick nose, dark sallow complexion, round facc, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, and 24 years of age, Dressed in a suit of old black tweed, much worn. This person may be wanted for similar offences elsewhere. Mountrath, February 26, 1883. ( 57232 c— 6340.) The parcel of jewellery stolen from the railway station at Maryboro', and described in detail in the Hue and- Cry of the 26th of last January, has not been recovered. Roscommon. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Dwyer ( mother's surname Dillon), native of Emlaghbeg, barony of Ballymoe, parish of Oran, who left his father's house at Emlagh- beg on 29th January, 1883, for the purpose of attend- ing the fair of Claremorris, county Mayo, on the 31st January, 1883; was last seen at Claremorris on 31st January, and has not since been heard of.
