DESCRIPTION of two young men apprehended in Edinburgh for tendering and uttering forged notes, " porting to be £ 10 Bank of Scotland notes, on tho william Lostock or Lovestock, alias Morrison, years of age, 5 feet inches in height, o, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, ilon. ^ dot on right wrist, scar on left thumb, ^ of forehead, one above left eye, one oniple on right cheek, projecting brown corded coat, vest, | kl, brown silk neckerchief ^ ery neat elastic- side Cockney 21 a low tone of voice; dressed in a dark- coloured jacket, suit all made of same cloth, and round felt hat; respectable appearance, resided in Preston- street, Govanhill; has been drinking ; may be found - in < i hotel; will likely frequent restaurants; supposed to have no luggage. It is suspected accused will attempt as early as possible to change the notes, therefore it is desired that immediate inquiry be made at banks and money changer's, so that they may be on their guard. Police officers are also requested to have early inquiry made at hotels and shipping offices, and should accused be traced information to be wired to subscriber, or, if accused be arrested, to detain him, and on hearing that he is in custody, an officer will be sent with " Warrant to remove him. Armagh. DESCRIPTION of James Finch, alias Hughes, alias Henderson, native of Arbo, county Tyrone, who stands charged with having, on. the night of the 2 ( 1th September, 1882, in thi b. roriy of Oneiland East, parish of Seagoe, stolen from the dwelling- house of his employer, Edward Gallory, an old- fashioned silver watch, No. on case, 8,310, two coats, one a pilot frock, nearly new, the other a top coat of fine material, and two pairs of boots; all value fop- about £ 10:— Smart appearance, pretends to be . deaf and dumb, letters B. C. on side, crosses on one arm, supposed left, gray or blue eyes, long nose, sandy complexion, small f » ce, slight make, 5 feet 0 inches high, about 82 years of age, brown hair, small noustache; wore a light tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest; discharged soldier, is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of John Mabbott, native of Greenwich, Kent, and Frederick Carter, native of Wickford, Essex, who stand charged with having, on the 5th day of October, at Strawhall, in the barony of Carlow, parish of Carlow, stolen from the dwelling- house of Margaret Kirwan, two suits of clothing and 8*. in silver :— own eyes, sallow complexion, 5 feet 7 inches ut 19i years of age, dark brown hair ; supposedly be wearing a suit of the stolen clothes ; is a shoemaker, , 2. Small gear at base of index finger, back of left hand, brown efW, fresh- complexion, 6 feet 8 inches high, about 20J yeats of age, brown hair; supposed to be wearing, u suit of the qtolen clothes; is a carman, > , DoseapS& L of the stolen clothes :— Two brown oclsf coats, one . pearly new, the other much br « wp tweed trowsers an! vest; a corduroy a sof't black 4hat; a pair. of men's elastic boots; two thirls fofce plain, tjje other striped). The uv » men charged with the larceny are deserters from the 5th Lancers, quartered at Newbridge, county Kildare. ( 51628 c.— 5186.) Galway. DUBLIN CASTLE, 9th June, 1882. WHEREAS at or about the hour of twenty minutes past three o'clock, P. M., on Thursday, tho 8th June, instant, Walter M. Bourke, Esq., of Rahassane Park, Craughwell, in the county of Galway, and Corporal Wallace, of the Royal Dragoons, were shot dead on the road close to one of the gates of Castle Taylor Demesne, near Ardrahan, in the said county, by some person or personal t present unknown : His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of these Murders, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of TWO THOUSAND POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead' to the conviction of the person or persons, or any of them, who committed the said Murders. And ^ further reward of ONE THOUSAND POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result. His Excellency is also pleased to offer in addition to the above rewards a FREE PARDON and the Special Protection oj the Crown in any part of Her, Majesty's Dominions to any person concerned in, or privy to, the said Murders other than the person or persons who actually committed the same, in case of his giving such information as shall lead to the con- viction of the persons, or any of them, concerned in the Murders aforesaid. And whereas any person who knowingly receives into his or- her house or otherwise harbours or maintains any of the persons who committed the said Murders, or conceals or aids any of them in escaping or endeavouring to escape from justice becomes liable to penal servitude for life : His Excellency is pleased hereby to offer a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within three months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the CONVICTION of any person who has so received, harboured, maintained, or concealed, or assisted in endeavouring to escape from justice, or who shall receive, harbour, maintain, or conceal, or assist in endeavouring to escape from justice, any of the persons who committed the said Murders. Ignatiu John „ DESCRIPTION of John Cross, native of Drumshrue, who stands charged with having, on the morning of 27th August, 1882, at Drumshrue,, in tMbarony of Connell, parish of Kilmeague, maliciousi^ flft fire to a stable, the property of his father, Thomas Cross:— Blue eyes, short thick nose, sallow complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches higb, about 40 years of age, brown hair, shaves chin and upper lip, wears side whiskers, which are brown ; wore a soft hat, dark coat black trowsers, and plaid vest; is a labourer. A Warrant for his arrest is in the hands of ' he Police at Rathnngan. Robertstown, August 29, 1882. ( 47902 c.— 4783.) Sking's. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender who, on the 30th September, 1882, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, King's County :— Peter Clarke, 712, 16 years of age, about 5 feet high, medium make, fresh complexion, brown hair, gray eyes, short nose, regular mouth, oval visage scar on each cheek ; formerly belonged to Belfast; parents reside at 26, Millfield- place, Belfast. The school dress, all. with Reformatory stamp, consists of:— Corduroy trowsers and tunic, Scotch csp, boots numbered; every article of dfess numbered. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expense of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. ( 24932 m.— 44970.) DESCRIPTION of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 18th August, 1882, absconded from the Philipstown Reformatory School, King's County :— Patrick Connell, 773, 16 years ol age, about 6 feet high, ordinary make, fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, oval visage, scar on nose, formerly belonged to Work^ house, Dungarvan; father dead, mother resided Dungarvan. The school dress, all with Reformatory consists of:— Corduroy trowsers and tunic cap. boots left after him. James Irwin, alias M'Allister sheep stealing), not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 1882. { James Magee ( robbery of money), not arrested; ue- and- Cry. nh July, 1882. dt t , DEScrIPTION of Mathew Moore, native of Rene- vanna, who stands charged with having, on the 93rd day of August, 1883, in the barony of Coonagh, Parish of Doon, seriously assaulted his step- mother, Catherine Moore, from the effects of which her life is in imminent danger :— Walks with a swinging gait; gray eyes, short cocked nose, pale fallow couiplexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 27 years of age, light brown hair: wore a dark tweed coat, light tweed trowsers, and dark vest; is a labourer. New Pallas, Aug. 25, 1882. ( 53732 c.— 6598.). Londonderry. DESCRIPTION of Convict E. Kelly, alias Thomas M'Cartney ( O. V. D. 58J)) who has failed to report himself to the Police at Derry:— Blue eyes, dark complexion, oval and thin face, proportionate make, 6 feet inches high, about 49 years of age; is a bricklayer. October 7, 18P9. ( 34908 m.— 44929.) Longford. DESCRIPTION of John Richie, native of county Longford, who stands charged with having, on the 20th July, i883, in the barony of Ardagh, parish of Templemichael, assaulted Thomas Farrell, Relieving Officer of Longford Union, by striking him with a stick over the left temple, thereby endangering his life. ( See Outrage Report, 22 July, 188*:— Hair growing far down on forehead, walks with his head down; small black eyes, regular nose, sallow com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 18 years of age, dark hair; wore a black jerry hat, light tweed coat, corduroy ^ trofrsers, and tweed vest; is a labourer. He is likely to be seen about the Broadstone, seeking to beg from Longford people, or about the Exhibition. Sub- Inspector at Longford holds a warrant for his arreat. Longford, September 13,1882. ( 52677 c.— 4962.-) V ' DESCRIPTION of Kelly, native of Athlone, who ads charged with having, on the 9th September, in the barony of Ardagh, parish of Temple- 1, stolen, in conjunction with John Costello, custody, a pair of trowsers from the house " rier Gannon, tailor, of Longford:— Very sed ; 5 feet JB inches high, about 40 Ck hair and board. 13,1882, ( 52983 c 4935.) medium make, 5. feet 5 inqjies high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair ; wore a dark tweed coat, tweed trowers and vest; wore no shirt collar :' is a blacksmith. 2. Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, abmift & 0 years of age, brown ^ air; wore a dark tweed coat, tweed trowseru and vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Margaret Smithy native place • unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd day of September, 1882, in the barony of Monaghan, parish of Monagban, deserted her two children and left them chargeable on the Monaghan Union. ( See Hue- and- Cry dated 25th July, 1882):— High cheek bones, large front teeth, leans forward when walking, has a halt, gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion broad face, stout make. 5 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hair ; wore a dark gray alpaca skirt, old gray shawl, a piece out of one corner of it, no shoes ; is a pauper. • Monaghan, Sept. 21, 1882. ( 63843 c.— 3521.) Roscommon, DESCRIPTION of Martin Fox ( mother's name Catherine Crean), native of Lisduff, who stands charged with having, on the 16th August, 1882, in-- the barony of Frenchpark, parish of Tibohine, absconded from his parents, and cannot be found :— Freckled face, good- looking, fair complexion, stout make, 3 feet 5 inches high, about 9 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a cap, whitish jacket, trowsers, and vest. Was in an industrial school for 3 months. Had his name on trowsers ; all his clothing belonged to the industrial school, and were given him on his discharge from that institution. ( 54156 o.— 4993.) DESCRIPTION of Mary Madden, supposed to be fictitious, native place Unknown, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 25th August, 1882, in the barony of Boyle, parish of Killukin, at Gardenston, endangered the life of her infant male child by leaving it on the roadside:— Dark eyes, regular nose, pale compleflhltftah^, slight make, inchesJAjMtf^^^^^^^^ fc& dark hair wore a red shawl/; barefootej Bo; DESOMJTIOST of David M'Mullin, native of Stra, who stands charged with having, on the 19th August, 1882 in the barony" of Upper Strabane, parisn of Lower Bodoney, stolen from his master, Michael M'Crory, of Tievenameena, a brown tweed coat an^ a ptiir of moleskin' tr& Wsers :— 16 years of age, 5 feet high,' Inedium make, yellow complexion, regular smooth face, gray eyes, regular nose, brown hair; wore a shabby white hat, shabby bottle- green coat, old and . shabby tweed trowsors and vest; is a native of Stra, near Newtownstewart, and is a servant boy. ^ Cookstown, Aug. 26, 1883. ( 53358 o.— 3334.) Waterford, The heifers belonging to J. Egan, described in issue of 10th instant, have been found. ( 5504 c.) Westmeath. DUBLIN CAstle, 26th May, 1883.
