Whenever it ia desired that any person should be appre- hended, and the Name is given, it is indispensably necessary t-'- iat » n information should be made and sworn to before a Magistrate, of the Offence charged, and an attested copy thereof, tegether with the advertisement, forwarded to the Editor for insertion. Ae no charge is made for the insertion of any article in the POLICE GAZETTE, all Letters addressed to the Editor mast be prepaid, otherwise the insertion will not be made. The Names and Descriptions of Deserters from the Army, and of Absentees and Deserters from the Militia, should be forwarded on War Office Forma 88 and 88A, to the Editor, above, for inaertion in the POLICE GAZETTE. Advertisements offering rewards must state clearly:—( 1) The unou » t of the reward. ( 2) The conditions on which it is payable ( S). The person by whom it will be paid. The young man left the trunk containing the money usd wearing" apparel in the cloak room, when Leclcrq obtained the ticket, promising to take the box to his lodgings, but absconded with it, lie is a very good singer, writes music, and frequents public- houses where there is music and singing. No doubt he is the person advertised in the Police Gazette of 29th ultimo as wanted an wanted at Kings Lynn for fraud. Information to Chief Constable Delacombe, Derby.— Bow- street, April G. Absconded on 28th instant, charged on a Warrant with embezzling various sums of money:— JAMES PARKER BOVEY, late rate collector to the St. Mary Church Local Board, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, fair complexion, face rather large and red, brown hair, shaves clean with the exception of a little whisker near the ears, which is of a light brown colour, has a kind of slit in centre of under lip, has a rolling awkward walk, and of medium build ; dressed in a light suit of clvthes of the same material, aud light brown loose overcoat, and black round pole hat, carried with him a black portmanteau ; a butcher ; is fond of horseraoing, and visits hotels. Description of HENRY BLANE, charged at Wakefield, on warrant with stealing £ 19 15s. in Gold and Silver, on 30th ultimo :— he is 36 years of age, 5 feet 9 J inches high, brown hair, dark complexion, brown whiskers around face, well built, ' D' under left breast, scar on left buttock, a labourer, and a native of Hull; dressed when last seen in a white smock, fustian trousers, light coloured cloth cap, and strong lace boots, nearly new. Stolen at Newport, Monmouthshire, at 8 p. m. on 30th ultimo :— an open- faced gold English lever Watch, No. 5210, maker ' A. Wernet, Newport,' engraved on works. By a man who went into the shop, pretending to purchase :— about 30 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, medium build; dressed in black hard bowler hat, black coar, buttoned up, and wore dogskin gloves. Stolon from White Lion lie, Llyuclyp, on 27th ult. :— a pair of man's lace- up Boot?, brass eyelets and three hooks on each side, recently soled, sparables in soles. By a man, about 45 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches higb, dark hair, whiskers and maustache about three weeks' growth, very dark complexion]; dressed in drab slop, bedfoul cord trousers ( uew piece at bottom of legs), and black billycock hat; a native of Bausley Hill, near Middletown.
