INFORMATIONS. BURGLARY AHD HOUSE BREAKING. Stolen at Middle Hulton, about 8 p. m. 22nd instant: a double- breasted man's brown cloth Overcoat, brown ' velvet collar, two pockets outside with flaps, and cloth covered buttons ; a pair of man's black cloth Trousers, fall fronts,' and white twill cotton lining, rather far worn ; a black billycock Hat; a silver watch Guard, cable pattern, broken at the swivel, and weighs about 5 oz.; a silk Guard, withj gold plated mountings, four hoops in centre, and a small imitation Kettle as an appendage ; and a small brown box of drawing Instruments. Suspicion attached to three men. Information to Mr. Superintendent Holland, County Police Office, Bolton, Lancashire.— Bow- street, November 26. Stolen at Burton- on- Trent, on 23rd instant: a lady's gold Watch, black figures, enamelled on back, open face. Paris manufacture ; a short gold Chain, about 4 inches long, gold Key attached ; a large Scotch pebble Brooch, brown colour, set in Silver, oval shape, imitation chain rouud edge ; a gold Brooch, with red stone, oval shape ; £ 3 10s. in Gold ; and 9s. 6d. in Silver. Information to Mr. Superintendent Harston, Burton - on - Trent, Staffordshire.!— Bow - street, November 26. On 15th instant, Springhill House, Maisemore, near Gloucester, was entered, and stolen therein : two copper Furnaces ; four house Bells ; and a brass hall Lamp ( since recovered). Supposed by a man from 27 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, light hair, sandy whiskers, beard, and moustache, blue eyes, round full face, fresh coloured, believed to be pockmarked ; dressed in soft grey cloth corded hat, old dark mixture jacket, corduroy trousers, soiled with red clay or brickdust, and strong lace- up boot; he is rather splay- footed, and walks rather stiff, generally carries one hand in his jacket pocket. Information to Deputy Chief Constable Chipp, Gloucester.— Bow- street, November 26. Further particulars respecting the housebreaking near Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire, advertised in Police Gazette of 12th instants in the pocket of the stolen coat were a common Pocket- handkerchief, with red borders, and pictures of deers in the white, and a white Muffler. Information to Chief Constable Torrens, Salford,- November 21. • Bow- street, Stolen by means of housebreaking, at Gray's Thurrock, Essex, between 6 and 8 p. m. on 17th instant: 2 silver Bracelets, snake pattern ; 1 pair of gold Earrings, small filigree work ; 1 pair of mosaic Earrings, imitation gold, with gold Brooch to match, initial ' M' in mosaic; 1 plain oval- shaped gold Locket, set with turquoise, gold pendants, hair worked in back, small gold Neckchain attached ; 1 large gold Locket, with black enamel Cross, hair set in back ; 1 small gold Locket, with fancy Ring and Scroll iu face, in light blue enamel, hair set in back; 4 red coral Bracelets, set in gold frames as medallion, gold clasps; 1 old- fashioned mounted gold Ring, with pearls and turquoise ; about 4s. or 5s. in Silver ; aud a £ 5 Bank of England Note, supposed endorsed L. and W. Stolen by means of burglary, at Wigmore : thirty- two Sovereigns; two Half- Sovereigns ; a pair of gold Ear- rings, small acorn pattern; a pair of large round gold Ear- rings ; a broad gold Keeper, has been lately filed ; a gold Ring, with six pearls and one ruby ; a large Spanish Coin ( image king), about size of crown piece, date 1803. Supposed by two dirty looking whitesmiths, who had been repairing locks in the town ; one about 50 years of age, the other 30 years of age, one slight, the other stiff, about 5 feet 2 inches high, dark hair aud complexion. Information to Mr. Superintendent Dykes, or to P. S. Philpotts, Wigmore, Herefordshire.— Bow- street, November 21. Stolen by means of burglary, from Uxbridge House, Anglesea, Alverstoke, between 11 p. m. 19th, and 6 a. m. on 20th instant: 1 large gravy Spoon, 13 large Forks, 1 fish Slice, 1 butter Knife, crest— a bird, 4 dessert Spoons, 4 tea Spoons, 4 small Forks, 1 sauce Ladle, 1 pair of sugar Tongs, and 2 egg Spoons, silver, crest— a lion; 6 large Spoons, 5 dessert Spoons, 6 large Forks, 4 small Forks, 6 tea Spoons, HORSE AND CATTLE STEALING. Further information respecting the dark brown Horse and red roan Mare, stolen from Suttmers Farm, Chalfont St. Giles, on the night of 15th, and advertised in the Police Gazette of 17th instant: the Horse is rising 5 years old, and the Mare is rising 3 years. £ 10 reward is offered by Mr. Davis, the owner, for the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders, and recovery of the above Horses. Information to Mr. Superintendent Dunham, Police Station, Slough, or to Inspector Breene, Police Station, Beaconsfield, Bucks.— Bow- street, November 26. Stolen during the night of 19th instant, from a stable at Ingham, Suffolk : a bay cob Gelding, 8 years old, about 13 hands high, off fore foot and both hind feet white, also white saddle mark on back, has been clipped, had horse Rug on. Information to Mr. Superintendent Clarke, Police Office, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.— Bow- street, November 24. Stole. 1' from a field at Gallywood, Great Baddow, Essex, during the afternoon of 16th instant: a dark bay Cob, 8 years old, black legs, bushy foretop, very thick mane, chipped knees, about 15 hands high, in good condition. In- formation to Mr. Superintendent Lennon, Constabulary Office, Chelmsford, Essex.— Bow- sUeet, November 24. During the night of 20th instant, a fat wether Sheep was slaughtered in a field at Handsacre, the skin, head, and entrails were left iu the field, and the carcase taken away. Information to Deputy Chief Constable Oswell, Stafford, or to Inspector Barrett, Town Hall, Rugeley, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, November 24. Further information respecting the Pony stolen from Hall Green, on 14th iustant, and advertised in Police Gazette of 17th instant : it was traced through Stratford on the maim road to Banbury and Oxford, and was being ridden by a man about 25 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, thin features, large nose, dark hair, and moustache, was wearing a long blue overcoat, and dark trousers. Information to Mr. Superintendent Simmons, Solihull, or to Inspector Prosser, Acocks Green, Warwickshire.— Bow- street, November 21. LARCENY AND EMBEZZLEMENT. Stolen on 22nd instant, 2 walking Coats, one blue diagonal, one grey mixture, one pair dark tweed Trousers, a black Vest, felt Hat, an engine turned silver Verge Watch, a gold Albert, silver 2- anna Piece attached, a gold garnet Ring, diamond shape setting; by a man, 27 years of ago, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh complexion, hair and eyes brown ; dress, stolen clothes. Larceny. — Metropolitan Police, B Division, November 26. Description of H. SMITH, name supposed fictitious, of 12, Angel- street, Northampton, charged on a warrant with stealing two Watches, as bailee, at Great Houghton, near Northampton, on 10th instant: he is about 30 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, fair complexion, dark brown hair, has whiskers and moustache, shaves chin, rather stout proportion ; dressed in short dark overcoat, with two rows of black buttons in front, dark trousers, silk hat, and usually wears dark cloth gloves, carries a brown paper parcel which contains a bag with tools, & c. He gets watches & c. to repair or clean, and pawns them. Information to Inspector Hensher, County Constabulary, Northampton.— Bow- street, November 26. Absconded from Much Wenlock, at 6 p. m. on 24th instant, charged with attempted larceny : a youth about 17 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, full round features, rather stout build ; dressed in dirty grey cloth cap, large white handkerchief or muffler, and short black jacket. Supposed to be a native of London. Information to Mr. Superinten- dent Galliers, Bridgnorth, or to Sergeant Davies, Police Station, Much Wenlock, Salop.— Bow- street, November 26. Stolen at Thornhill, Dumfries, on 22nd instant : a small sized old black leather Purse, elastic band broken off, contain- ing 9 Half Sovereigns iu Gold, and 1 Shilling in Silver. Supposed by a man, 30 to 40 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, or thereabouts, black hair and whiskers, and slender make ; dressed in dark coat, grey trousers, and dark soft felt hat. Tliey are cousins, aud are likely to be found together iu company of soldiers. Harriett is under police supervision. Stolen on 22nd instant, a gold malachite Brooch, a gilt Locket, 2 gold RiDgs, one turquoise aud pearls, one ruby and pearls, 5 pairs of Earrings, three gilt, one silver filigree, one coral and gold, a black silk Skirt, nine Handkerchiefs, marked ' E ' : by a man, 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, complexien and hair dark, brown eyes, long thin nose, small moustache; dress respectable, speaks with French accent. Stolen on 21st instant, a lady's gold geneva Watch' gold dial, engine turned case, by a man, 20 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fair, very light hair, effeminite voice and features: dress, old dark clothes, felt hat. Absconded on 24th ultimo, charged with embezzlement, and stealing a costermonger's Barrow, ' Foster, Half- moon Crescent,' cut in several places thereon, containing six large Tins, a Barrel, and two Boxes ( empty) : WILLIAM BENNETT, 17 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, fair com- plexion, light hair, short, right forefinger very much scarred fiom burns ; dressed in brown plaid coat and vest, dark mixture trousers, brown and white plaid muffler, blue Oxford shirt, flat crowned deerstalker hat, side- spring boots, all old : he may seek employment at Wholesale confectioners in the provinces. Absconded on 17th instant, charged with embezzlement: a man, 20 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, hair, and moustache ( small) ; dressed iu light cutaway coat, dark trousers and vest, lace boots, black hard felt hat.— Metropolitan Police, P Division, November 26. Stolen on 21st instant, from 42, Stebbington- street, St. Pancr& s : a dark tweed Ulster, black cloth plain buttons, buttons under flap, three pockets outside, one inside left breast, has been repaired at tab ; a black ribbed frock Coat and Vest. By a man, 25 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, very fair complexion and hair, no whiskers or moustache, decayed tooth in front of upper jaw ; dressed in black frock coat and vest, dark trousers, black felt hat, side- spring boots, respectable appearance. — Metropolitan Police, Y Division, November 26. Description of JOSEPH WILSON, late of 8(>, Pugh- road, Aston, Birmingham, who is charged on warrant with stealing a Cheque for ,£ 96 18s. 3d., the property of the Liver- pool and London and Globe Insurance Company, his masters: 36 to 38 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, rather slender build, dark complexion, hair, and moustache, no beard or whiskers, wears glasses occasionally ; dressed in a grey shootiDg suit, aud dark billycock hat ; has been previously employed by the Midland Railway Company ; his mother is living at Retford, Notts, he was last heard of in London, on 12th instant. Information to Chief Superintendent Bond, Birmingham.— Bow- street, November 26. Stolen during the night of 22nd instant, from an out- building at Wing, Bucks : four white Ducks, and two white Drakes, of the Aylesbury breed. Supposed by a man about 21 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fresh complexion, rather long face, light brown hair, small light whiskers, and slight moustache; dressed in pilot jacket, dark cap with peak, aiid button on top, dark trousers, may be wearing corduroy or fustian trousers, which are supposed to havt spots of blood on them ; will endeavour to get work as a navvy or labourer to a bricklayer.
