Definition of LimitsFrom Sea ( that is Morecambe Bay Lightship) into and out of the Harbours of Fleetwood and Barrow and along- the Coast from Formby Point to JIaverina Point, of Tighten Havering Point of Dudden. NAMES of PILOTS. See p. 101 of Pari. Paper, No. 209 of 1877. Add the names of Richard Charnley, aged 22; and Thomas C. Hornby, aged 23. RATES of PILOTAGE. For Fleetwood. On Vessels employed in the Oversea Trade. From Within line? from Morecambe Bay Light- ship to Formby Point and Havering Point respectively. Within a line with Black Comb, bearing N. N. E. Danger Patch Buoy, or one mile outside the Outer Lighthouse. The Outer Lighthouse, or within one mile outside thereof. Inside the Outer Lighthouse - To Fleetwood, and vice versa Ditto - - - - Ditto - - - - Ditto - Ditto - Under 200 Tons Register. 200 Tons and under 000 Tons Register. 600 Tons and under 1,0( 10 Tons Register. On Vessels employed in the Coasting Trade, one- half of the above Rates. For Harrow. On Vessels employed in the Oversea Trade. From To Within lines from Morecambe Bay Light- ship to Formby Point and Havering Point respectively. Ditto ... - ditto - Within a line with Black Comb, bearing N. N. E., and outside Hilpsford Buoy. Ditto - ditto - Hilpsford Buoy, or within the same - Ditto - Within Piel Anchorage - ditto The Docks at Barrow, and vice vet sd. The Anchorage at Piel or the Wyre Lighthouse, and vice versa. South of a line from Morecambe Bay Light- ship and Walney Light, and inside the N. N. E. line. On Vessels employed in the Coasting Trade, ono- balf of the above Rates. The additional rate, for intermediate portions of a foot in the draft, to be regulated as follows, viz.:— For three inches and under - No addition. For more than three inches"! The medjun) between the two rates. and under nine inches - J For nine inches and upward, The rate for the next foot. For transporting ships from one berth to another within either of the harbours, 10s. 0d. If a master retain or employ a pilot whilst at anchor, the lay days to be 7s. tid, per day. . MI4- 02 All coasting steam vessels making more than one voyage per week are to pay half only of the above rates. The several pilotage rates herein specified are subject to a reduc- tion of one- fourth part in respect of vessels propelled by steam and vessels towed by steam vessels, provided that if any such vessel shall be propelled by steam, or towed by a steam vessel for a part only of the distance for which any such rate may be payable, the reduction of one- fourth shall be made on such part only of the said rate as si. all be proportionate to the distance so propelled or towed.
