INFORMATIONS MUSBEE AID WOUNDING. Description of EDG. RIVETT, charged with maliciously and feloniously wounding Albert Blomfield, at Mendham, on 6th instant: he is about 23 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, light hair, no whiskers, pale complexion, snaps his eyes when talking to any one; dressed in dark monkey jacket,, cord trousers, and black imitation skin vest, and chummy hat. Information to be given to Sergeant Tuddenham, Harleston, Norfolk, who holds a warrant for his apprehension. — Bow- street, February 8. By a man about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, no whiskers or moustache, proportionate build; dressed in a black velvet sac jacket, a pair of light trousers, blucher boots, and hard felt hat. He may now be wearing the stolen overcoat. Information to be given to Chief Constable Windle, Borough Police Office, Hanley, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, February 11. Stolen between 4th and 7th instant, from a field at Hednesford, the property of Mr. John Wright: a Sheep, the head, skin, and entrails being left behind. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Hill, Brownhills, or to Sergeant Cockerell, Police Station, Hednesford, near Stafford.— Bow- street, February 8. Stolen between 9 p. m. on 5th and 5 a. m. on 6th instant, from the stable of Mr. Thomas Orchard, farmer, at Woodwells Farm, near Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead, Herts : a very dark iron grey mare Pony, about 4 years old, thick set, in very good condition, 14 hands high, the head is of a lighter grey than the body. Information to be given to Mr. Super- intendent Isgate, Police Station, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. — Bow- street, February 8. Stolen from a field in Harborne during 30th or 31st ultimo : a red roan horse Cob, 13j hands high, rising D years old, bang tail, in good condition, and newly shod all round. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Woollaston, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, or to Sergeant Kavanagh, Harborne, near Birmingham.— Bow- street, February 6. ROBBERY AND LARCENY FROM THE PERSON. Wanted at Middlesborough, on a charge of assault and robbery : a man about 45 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, sallow complexion, dark brown hair, turning grey, no whiskers or moustache, slender figure, and walks erect; dressed when last seen in a light grey coat, white duck jacket underneath, dark vest, dirty moleskin trousers, piped up each side, strong laced boots, and flat skull cap ; he is accompanied by a woman about 20 years of age, who has a child about 5 months old ; he has been a soldier, and has lodged in Black Bull- yard, at Stockton- on- Tees, may be found in some common lodging- house. Information to be given to Chief Constable Saggerson, Middlesborough, Yorkshire.— Bow- street, Feb. 4. BURGLARY ABB HOUSE BREAKING. Stolen between .11- 30 p. m., 4th, and7' 30 a. m., 5th instant, from 31, Church- street, Kensington : 27 Watches, ten lady's gold Geneva, ( one white dial, No. 41574, figure 2 underneath), seventeen silver ( two Geneva, one No. 4512, one No. 23946, one No. 8098, one No. 76437, one old- fashioned verge, three secondhand, one lever hunter, front case deficient, several marked ' T. Leete, Church- street, Kensington,' on dome, register mark on each movement); 2 silver watch Cases, one engine turned, much worn ; 4 gold Chains, two belcher pattern ( one albert, round links), one secret links, one silver albert ( curb pattern); 24 gem Kings, one large signet ( 15- carat), nine gold keepers, others various ; a black frock Coat, silk facings, much worn; a blue witney overcoat. Burglary.— Metropoli- tan Police, T Division, February 11. HORSE AID CATTLE STEALING. Description of JOHN SIMPSON, supposed fictitious, remanded at Balsall Heath, charged with stealing on 5th instant, a dark brown thoroughbred Horse, 15 hands 3 inches high, spavin on near hock, long coat, both hocks fired : he is 30 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, fresh complexion, stout built, brown hair, very heavy sandy moustache, no whiskers ; dressed in hard felt hat, and dark suit of clothes ; is supposed to be a native of London ; he was accompanied by a man who escaped, of the following description : about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, rather fair complexion, light brown hair, small moustache, and tuft on cliin of light colour; dressed in blue plaid coat, dark cord trousers, and light overcoat; has the appearance of a low horse dealer. At the time of Simpson's arrest the two men were driving the stolen horse in a light spring trap, painted dark colour, picked out with white, of shabby appearance ; the dashboards were much worn, one of the shafts had been broken and repaired with iron plate. £ 5 reward will be given for information leading to the arrest of the second man above described, and recovery of the horse. Stolen from a stable in Hanley, between 8' 30 p. m., 7th, and 5' 30 a. m., . 8th instant: a light brown Horse, about 16 hands high, has a strong tail, star on face, a little white on hind legs ; a brown Overcoat; a Bridle; and a short Whip. LARCENY AND EMBEZZLEMENT. Absconded on 22nd ultimo, from 01( 1 Stratford, charged on a warrant with embezzling £ 3 5s., belonging to his master Mr. A. W. Robinson, coal merchant, Old Stratford: STEWART ROSE, a boatman, 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 ins. high, fair complexion, Roman nose, light hair, and slight whiskers ; dressed in double- breasted reefer jacket, no vest. He is of dirty slovenly appearance, and has been employed for years on the Grand Junction , Canal " driving steam boats. He is a native of Branniston, Northamptonshire. Absconded on 5th instant, from Little Earl- street, Seven Dials, stealing £ 8 in Silver : the waiter, 16 years of age, 5 feet high, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, parted in centre; dressed in grey mixture jacket, vest, and trousers, black biltycock hat, and side- spring boots.— Metropolitan Police, E Division, February 11. Absconded on 5th instant, from 2, Lorne- terrace, Holloway, stealing £ 10 in Gold, a black Dress and Apron, trimmed with lace, an imitation sealskin Jacket, a pair of lady's button Boots, a carpet Bag, 7 pairs Goloshes, a common Brooch : a woman, servant, 22 years of age, stout build, very dark complexion and hair; supposed dressed iu stolen clothes, black bonnet, side- spring boots..— Metropolitan Police, Y Divi- sion, February, 11. Description of JOHN HEARNDEN, charged on warrant with felony, at St. Peter's, near Margate, Kent, on 30th ultimo : he is 47 years of age, 5 feet inches high, fair com- plexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, proportionate build ; dressed in dark cloth monkey jacket, with velvet collar, blue guernsey underneath, dark cord trousers, old long leather leggings, heavy lace- up boots, and black billycock hat; marks, ring on second finger left hand, woman on right arm, scar over right eye, and varicose veins right leg ; is a ticket- of- leave man, and has travelled with an entire horse in Kent, Essex, Surrey and Hants. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Stokes, Kent Constabulary, Sandwich.— Boxo- street, February 11. Absconded on 5th instant, from 5, Napier- road, Ponders End, Enfield, stealing a silver English lever Watch, capped, ' Grimsley' on works, a gold Albert Chain, cable pattern, attached, and £ 5 in Gold ; a man, bricklayer, 35 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark complexion, hair, and moustache, small grey eyes, blotched face, mark on forehead ; dressed in black cloth overcoat, cardigan jacket, check cloth vest, light cord trousers, lace boots, and hard felt hat.— Metropolitan Police, Y Division, February 11. Description of THOMAS GILLMAN, a commercial traveller, charged under a warrant with embezzling £ 4 6s. 3d. the monies of his employers, the West of England Tea Com- pany, during the past month : about 40 years of age, 6 feet high, well made, brown hair, beard, whiskers, and moustache, small dark grey eyes, has lost two front teeth, which occasionally causes an impediment in his speech, has also lost the fourth finger of left hand, upon which he always wears a glove ; is usually dressed in long dark frieze topcoat. He is a native of Wotton- under- Edge, where he has been in business as a chemist and grocer, he was in business at Sherston, Wilts, and was also employed as assistant to Mr. Gillman, grocer and chemist, Birmingham. It is supposed that he has with him a woman, with whom he has been cohabiting. Information to be given to Deputy Chief Con- Stable Chipp, Gloucester.— Bow- street, February 11. Description of ROBERT MARSTON, a travelling watchmaker, charged on warrant with stealing a silver Watch on 2nd instant, from a watchmaker's shop at Altrincham, Cheshire, and since found pawned for 40s. in Manchester : he is about 59 years of age, about 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, sallow complexion, brown eyes, hair going grey, long features, clean shaved, and slender build ; dressed in a blue pilot over- coat, hat, dark trousers, and blucher shoes. Supposed to be a native of Coventry, Warwickshire. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Aston, County Police Office, Altrincham, Cheshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehen- sion.— Bow- street, February 11. Description of a tramping baker, in custody at Hinckley, charged with stealing 2 suits of Clothing, a silk Handkerchief, and a gold Albert Chain, from the premises of Joseph. Shepherd, baker, Market Bosworth, where he had obtained employment, the whole of the property recovered : he at first gave the name of THOMAS GOODMAN, of Kent, but now gives the name of THOMAS WHITE, of Islington, London, about 26 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, brown hair, no whiskers or moustache, brown or hazel eyes^ light complexion, medium build, some German letters and womans head in ink on left arm, and anchor on right arm ; dressed in light suit, and black billy hat. States he has been a baker on board the Inman line of steamers, also that he worked at Winchester's, High- street, Maidstone, Kent. Information to be given to Inspector Chapman, Police Station, Hinckley, Leicestershire. — Bow- street, February 11. Absconded from Lichfield on 4th instant, charged with stealing a pair of Boots and a Jacket ( both recovered) : a man about 60 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, rather thin build, grey whiskers, clean shaved, and no moustache; dfessed iu dark loose overcoat, blue serge trousers, high black sijk hat, elastic side bootsj and wears spectacles when reading oi writing. He is of respectable appearance, aiul stated that hf was a clerk, and had been in the employ of Mr. Lovatt, of Wolverhampton, contractor, & e. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Hernaman, Lichfield, Staffordshire.— E rie- street, February 8. • r. Absconded, charged on warrafit" wit ® larceny, bailee of a certain Violin, at Rotherfield, in January last : THOMAS HOATH, 23 or 24 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, fair complexion, light eyes, dark brown hair, has a hare lip and no roof to his mouth, slight figure, late of Withyham, Sussex, and a labourer; dressed in white slop, fustian vest and trousers, dark cloth cap with peak, and heavy half boots; he is fond of frequenting low public- houses and beer- shops, and will be playing a violin if he can get one. Supposed to be well known round Woolwich, Kent, Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Peerless, ITckfield, or to Sergeant Avery, Court House, Mark Cross, Sussex. — Bow- street, February 8. Description of WILLIAM TOMLINE, charged with having on 4th instant, at Clee, stolen from his lodgings a pair of sea Boots ( recovered), a plain gold finger Ring, a Sovereign, and some Silver, the property of Charles William Lake : he is about 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, dark hair parted down the middle, tattooed with a fishing smack on right arm, a sailor carrying the Union Jack, a woman's head, a' soldier's head with a rough cap on left arm, and ' W. T.' on back of left hand; dressed in a light rough top coat, with velvet collar, dark mixture cloth jacket underneath, black vest, and dark cord trousers, blue and white stripe cotton shirt, round hard hat, and lace- up boots. He has been twice to sea in a fishing smack, but states he is a shoefinisher. A warrant is issued for his apprehension. Information to be . given to Jir. Superintendent Jarvis, County Police Station, Grimsby, Lincolnshire.— Bow- street, February 8. Description of a tramp who is charged with having on 4th instant, at Tealby, stolen from a corn bin in the stable of Mr. W. Drakes, a fustian Jacket, with two pockets outside and one inside left breast, lined with cheeked collar lining, and not much worn, the property of James Barnaby : he is about 25 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, very dark complexion, dark eyes, black hair and moustache, whiskers about a fortnight's growth, slender figure, aud several letters tattooed on left hand ; dressed in black billycock hat, light coloured scarf, rough black cloth jacket ( such as is usually worn by sailors), brown striped vest ( one s£ ripe larger than the other), black cloth trousers, quarter boots with wooden soles, tied with whipcord, tlie right bCot has a large patch on . the outside. States he is a shipbuilder, and has worked at Barton- on- Humber, Messrs. Clayton and Shuttleworth's at Lincoln, and has been a sailor. He was allowed to sleep iu the outhouse the previous night and left at S a. m. on 4th instant. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Henton, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.— Bow- street, Feb. 8. Description of a woman, charged with stealing on 22nd ultimo, at Langford, a light lilac coloured Shawl with little white diamonds at the four corners ; an Umbrella ( re- covered); a gentleman's Scarf Pin with black- and- white streaked emerald stone set in jet ; and Four Shillings. Also on 23rd at Swaffham, a pair of woman's elastic- side Boots with patent toes ( nearly new); a female's blue cloth Jacket, & c. There are several other charges against her. She is about 35 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, very dark brown hair and eyes, dark complexion ; dress uncertain, but probably wearing the stolen jacket and boots, a dark bonnet and brown dress, and under her dress may have one or two Satin Skirts, stolen at Fakenham on 25th instant. She is travelling the county of Norfolk carrying on a system, of fraud by representing that she is leaving one situation for another, and obtaining food and lodging. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Lambley, Swaffham, Norfolk. — Bow- st., February 8. Absconded on 26th ultimo, from the service of the Great Northern Eailway Company : JOSIAH HARBOR, a clerk, in the Engineer's Department at Leeds, charged with stealing ,£ 114, belonging to his employer : he is 29 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, pale complexion, full face, brown hair, grey eyes, small light moustache, and bridge of nose broken ; was wearing at the time of his leaving dark clothes, and hard black felt hat. A warrant has been granted for his appre- hension. Information to be given to Mr. Ward, of the. Leeds Borough Police ; to W. Hamilton, Great Northern Railway Company's Police, at Leeds; or to B. Williams, Great Northern Railway Company's Police, King's Cross, London. — Bow- street, February S. Description of GEORGE DALE, alias WHIPPET, who has absconded, charged on a warrant with embezzlement at ^ Stafford on 19th ultimo ; he is about 30 years of age, 5 feet 2|- inches high, pale complexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, medium build, five blue dots on back of right hand, sight of both eyes defective, cut on third finger of right hand ; supposed dressed in dark suit, red muffler, and sailor's cap. He is a labourer, has also served as a sailor, and is likely to seek employment as a shoeblack or ostler at some low public house. Has served 3 years in a reformatory, aud is also a I returned convict. Information to be given to Inspector I Gruttidge, Guildhall, Staffordshire, who holds the warrant for his arrest..— Bow- street, February 6. Description of JOHN BARNETT, absconded from Sheffield, charged with larceny : he is a Scotch packman, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, light pale complexion, light hair, long nose ; dressed in a suit of black cloth, and new elastic side boots. Information to bo given to the Chief Constable, Borough Police, Sheffield, Yorkshire.— Bow- street, February 6. Further information respecting the great Coat, stolen at Llanveynoe, advertised iu Police Gazette of 25th ultimo : it is a dark brown double- breasted Top- coat, velvet collar, one pocket outside each skirt, and a ticket pocket on right side, has a square patch put in at the bottom of right hand pocket. Supposed by an Irishman, 52 years of age, 5 feet G inches high, stout built, clean shaved, fresh complexion, grey hair ; dressed in woollen cord trousers, white slop, black hat, and strong nailed boots; supposed, to be wearing the stolen coat, as he left his own behind, is a tramping gardener, and calls at farm houses seeking work, and supposed to be gone to Glamorganshire. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Cope, Hereford, or to P. S. Phillips, Abbey- dore, nerr Hereford.— Bow- street, February 6. Description of JOHN HAYNES, an ironmonger's assistant, charged on warrant with embezzling Money, belonging to his employer at Uppingham : about 26 years of age, 5 feet C inches high, dark brown hair, small whiskers and moustache, bold full eyes, Roman nose, florid complexion, walks erect, aud generally carries his hands in his pockets when walking. He left Uppingham in June last, and has not since been heard of. When he came to Uppingham in January, 1877, he stated he had Been in the service of a Mr. Morton, ironmonger, Crewe, Cheshire, which statement is false. It is suspected he is a native of Shropshire, and is going in some other name, information to be given to the Chief Constable of Rutland, Oakham, or to Mr.' Superinten- dent Murfitt, Police Station, Uppingham, Rutlandshire,. who holds a warrant for his apprehension.-— Bow- street, February G. Description of GEORGE PULLING, a labourer, of Withington, charged with night poaching on the night of 25th November last, on land in the occupation of the Rev. William Poole, at Eggleton, Herefordshire, with six others who are committed to take their trial at^ h^ next assizes for the county of Hereford : he is about 3t} years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, dark complexion, whiskers meeting under chin, hair turns up at ends ; dress, cord trousers, supposed long black overcoat, and black jim cro- vr hat. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Blunsdon, Ledbury, Hereford- shire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, February 8. Description of WALTER A. HAIGH, charged with obtaining £ 10 by. means of false cheque : 39 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, fair complexion, sandy hair, whiskers and moustache, carrotty ( supposed since shaved off); dressed in check suit and billycock hat. He speaks with a Yorkshire accent ( slight impediment), and frequents ' the Westminster Aquarium. Warrant issued. — Metropolitan Police, E Division, February 6. Description of a woman, who ou 30th ultimo, at a watch- maker's shop in Mold, obtained tinder false pretence an old- fashioned verge Watch, No. 660, maker ' J. Lenard, London': she is about 24 years of age, very short, dark complexion and hair, and large chignon ; dressed in a " black hat, with a fall round the rim, black shawl, and grey dress with small flounces. I Had a child in her arms, about a month or 6 weeks old. wrapped up in an old black and white shawl, dirty appearance. Information to be given to Deputy Chief Constable Adams, hull, Mold, Flintshire.— Bow- street, Feb. C. or Inspector Menshull, larceny, at Andaversford : he is about 28 years of age,. 6 feet inches high," light brown liair, liazel eyes, fresh complexion, mole on left Breast, and one on left arm, birth mark left side of belly, cross flags tattooed under left breast, two scars on left leg, and one on right knee ; dressed in a soft black billy- cock liat, check tweed coat and vest, grey tweed trousers, check " c£> tton shirt, purple check silk neckerchief, and old elastic- | ide boots ; he admits having done a term of 0 months imprisonment with hard labour, lor assaulting the police in London; and states lie formerly belonged to the 2nd - Life Guards, but was discharged in consequence of having reoeived injuries caused by a horse falling on him. Information to bo given to Mr. Superintendent Day, Gloucestershire Police, Cheltenham.— Bow- street, February 8. Description of JOHN RILEY, committed at Shifnal, on, 4th instant,, for 21 days under the Vagrant Act : he is 26 yrs. of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, fresli complexion, black hair, brown eyes, oval visage ; stated he came from Tredegar. GEORGE HUMPHREYS, who is 20 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresli complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, oval visage, a striker by trade ; sentenced to 7 days imprisonment. Information to be given to Mr, Chief Superintendent Ivins, Wellington, or to Sergeant Meredith, Shifnal, Salop.— Bow- street, February 8. Description of a tramp, giving the name of MICHAEL CLEARY, committed from. Welshpool to Montgomery Gaol on 31st ultimo, for 4 months, for" assaulting a female : he is 38 yeafs of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresli complexion, sandy hair, grey eyes, cut on forehead aiid OIL upper and- lower lip. He is an Irishman, but - can speak Eiiglisli and Welsh well. He is of muscular build, and is fond of talking of fighting- Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Ellis, or to Sergeant Breeze, Welshpool, Montgomeryshire.— Bow- street February 8. • MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATIONS. Description of GEORGE JONES, a tramping shoe- maker, committed to Maidstone Gaol for six weeks hard labour for stealing a pair of Boots from a shop at Staplehurst. on 2nd instant: 62 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, full fair face, dark grey eyes, very large ears, small birth mark under right eye, ruptured right groin, grey hair and whiskers; dressed in black Albert coat, frock coat under, dark tweed trousers, woollen vest, blue shirt, balmoral boots, all very old, black and red scarf, and black soft billycock hat. Has been working at Richmond, Surrey, for some months past. And MARY MOCKRIDGE, a tramp, committed for 21 days hard labour for vagrancy on 6th instant : 70 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, wrinkled yellow face, full prominent moutli, dark brown hair, turning grey, and liazel eyes; dressed iu dark linsey skirt and jacket, odd boots ( one cossack and one sidespring), and black bonnet, all very old, and is a native of Cockmorton, Somerset. FRATFBS AIB AGGRAVATED Absconded from Chillington, near Brewood, Stafford, unlawfully wounding two gamekeepers : JOHN BURTON, alias ' BIG JACK,' 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, grey eyes, dark brown whiskers all round except chin and upper lip which are usually shaven, oval face, roman nose, broad shoulders, turns his feet out, and generally carries his hands in his trousers pockets ; usually wears a white round slop, cord trousers, and soft black billycock hat. His resided with a woman at Wolverhampton for some time, but is a native of Hanbu'ry, Worcestershire. THOMAS JONES, alias RICHARD WILLIAMS, alias ' DICK the MILLER,' a navvy, 32 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, sallow complexion, grey eyes, dark brown hair, cut short, usually shaves all off except upper lip, thick lips, nose supposed damaged by fighting; usually wears a fustian ( monkey cut) jacket, vest, and trousers, light- colour billycock hat. He speaks with a strong Welsh accent, add belongs to the Shropshire Militia. He is believed to be now suffering from deeply cut wounds on his head, neck, arm, and • wrist, and is likely to apply for surgical aid at infirmaries or cottage hospitals. REUBEN SMITH, alias ROPER ' or ROPEY, 26 years of age, 5 feet 6i inches high, dark complexion, dark brown liair, cut short, cropped moustache, no whiskers, round face, slightly round shouldered ; dressed in short blue pilot jacket, navvy's slop, fustian trousers, blue cloth cap with peak of same material, turned up round the back and sides and tied to the top with two tapes. A crystal Necklace and Ear- rings, not valuable. A quantity of silver Coin, comprising Shillings, Sixpenny, and Fourpeniiy pieces, all with holes in them. Description of WILLIAM CLAY, subject to police supervision for five years from 4th October, 1876, who has failed to report himself at Nottingham : lie is 24 years of age, 5 feet inches high, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, ' W. C.' and a ship tattooed on right forearm, scar on right thigh aud on right middle finger, right forefinger end fractured. He was convicted at Nottingham County Sessions for 18 calendar months, on 5th April, 1875. Aud SAMUEL DIMELOW, subject to police supervision for 1 year from 16th January, 1878, and who has failed to report himself at Nottingham : he is 24 years of age, 5 feet 4J inches high, fair complexion, black hair, grey eyes ; scar left side of forehead, and back of left teg, lost three upper front teeth. He is a native of Manchester, and. by trade a bricklayer, and was convicted at the Kirkdale Sessions, and sentenced to 6 months on 17th July, 1877. Description of THOMAS OLDHAM, a convict on licence, Reg No. Y 1, who has left Longton without giving notice: 43 years of age, 5 feet 3f inches high, brown com- plexion, blue eyes, cut mark on back of right long fiuger, motes on left shoulder blade, pockmarked, several marks on left forefinger and thumb, scar under right shoulder blade, mote on left shoulder. He was convicted at Stafford on the 7th March, 1872, of larceny, after a previous conviction of felony, aud sentenced to 7 years penal servitude. He is a joiner by trade. Convicted of larceny from the person, at Manchester, on 24th October, 1872, and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and 7 years supervision. ROBERT LOCK, about 23 years of age, 5 feet 5J inches high, blue eyes, light hair, fresh complexion, pockmarked, mote left side of face, ' R. L.' on left arm, cross flags and ' M. L.' on right arm. Convicted of stealing Apples at Man- chester oil 12th March, 1873, and sentenced to 15 months imprisonment and 7 years supervision. THOMAS MASON, about 36 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, grey eyes, brown hair, fresh complexion, cut left temple and bridge of nose. Convicted of felony at Salford Hundred Sessions, on 23rcl October, 1876, and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and 4 years supervision. JOHN THOMAS, about 53 years of age, 5 feet 1 inch high, grey eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, scrofulous right side of neck, scarred right cheek, fore and ring fiuger of left hand cupped, and scar right groin. Convicted of stealing Boots, & c. at Warwick, on 18tli October, 1870, and sentenced to 7 years penal servitude and 7 years supervision.
