RUGERONI, native of Gibralter, 27 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, light bair, whiskers, and moustache, short neck, pale complexion; dresses respectably. Absconded, charged with having on 5th instant, fraudulently obtained in an office of the Bank of Scotland in Glasgow, on presentation of two forged cheques, £ 1210 133. yd., consisting principally of £ 100 Notes ot said bank : a man, calling himself G. HUNT, an Englishman, from 40 to 45 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, dark hair, turning grey, very slight dark whiskers, ruddy complexion, full face, and rather stout make ; dressed in brown overcoat, reaching to near bis ankles, dark cloth walking coat, dark veBt and trousers, dark scarf, with pin, and satin bat; walked erect. He is supposed to ba connected with Edward J. Henderson, a member of a « Long Firm,' trading in October last as stock and share dealers at 13, South Exchange- place, under the name of ' David Bond & Co.' A warrant exists for the apprehension of Henderson, charging him with forgery and fraud, along with three other members of ' David Bond and Co,' Hunt lodged in an hotel in Gksgow from lst to 5th instant, and he sent a young man to get pay- ment of the forged cheques. The Bank Authorities offer £ 100 for the apprehension of the forger of the cheques referred to and the recovery of the money obtained, or in proportion to the amount recovered. Absconded since June last, ctarged with forgery : HUGH KEMP, 28 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, fair hair and complexion, and clean shaved; dressed in black frock coat, grey trousers, and felt hat. Further information respecting the burglary committed at the vicarage, Dorchester, Oxon, advertised in Police Gazette of 16th instant, the following articles were stolen : an old double- cased gold Watch, No. 973, ' Hare, London'; gold Chain, Key, and Seal with caot of arms, crest— an eagle, with motto ' In Altum'; ormolu French Carriage Clock, maker Kowell, Oxford ; Pepper- glass with silver top ; plated Tops of Ink Bottles; plated taper Candlestick ; plated Tea- Pot; three leather Pnrsea, made by Carlisle and Watts, one with clasp, two with elastic, names stamped inside the flaps ' E Bradbury, Thos. Information to be given to the Chief Constable, Oxford.— Bono- street, January 18, Description of a man supposed to have committed the burglary at Burnley, on 10th instant, advertised in the Police Gazette of 11th instant: he is from 40 to CO years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout build, broad across the shoulders, fiesh red face, sullen looking, dark brown busby or curly hair, and brown whiskers all round the facp ; dressed in light coloured coat, yellow cultured woollen cord trousers, soft black billycock, and elastic- side boots much worn. He was carrying a bundle tied iu red and white handkerchief ; and was seen in a barn at a farm house, near Melbourne, on the day after the burglary, where he left behind him a pair of goloshes and a bottle of brandy, p ut of the stolen pro- perty. This is supposed to be the same person who broke into the Ship Inn at Everingham, on the night of 11th i/ st, as described in Police Gazette of 16th instant, as the thief left there some joiners' tools which were stolen from Burnley. Stolen on the night of 8th instant, from a jeweller's sliop in Bristol: Si gold ( tadies) dress Rings, with various coloured stones ; 6 silver ditto ; 7 gent's ( 9 carat sold) Rings ; 60gold and keeper Rings, some 9, 15. 18, and 22 carat gold ; a silver hunting Watch, no bezzel, silver dome and seconds ; and a silver- gilt Watch. By means of housebreaking. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Harris, B Division, Bed- minster, Bristol, Gloucestei shire.— Bow- sireet, January 16. Stolen from a jeweller's shop, in Wakefield, about 5 p. m. on 11th instant, by means of breaking the windows : A lady's gold half hoop Ring, set with five diamonds'. A gold gipsy King, set with a sapphire on each side of a diamond. A ditto ditto set with an emerald on each side of a diamond. And A gold serpent Ring, with a diamsnd on each side of an emerald. During the night of 11th or 12th instant, the dwelling- house of Mr. Hurlock, Prospect- road, St. Alban's, waa entered and stoleu therein : 3 silver Tea Spoons. 1 ditto dessert Spoon. 1 double cas3 silver Watch. 1 Bmall bronze Clock. 3 silver Pencil- cases. 1 gold ditto. During the night cf 11th instant, the dwelling- bouse of Louis White, of Everingham, Yorks, was broken into and stolen therein : £ 15 in Gold and Silver, 15 ( lion) Shillings, and 4 Five- Shilling Pieces, being among the lot; 6 electro- plated Folks, one maiked ' L. W.'; 1 blue pilot cloth Top Coat, lined with Italian cloth, two outside and one inside pocket; a dark mixture under Coat, lined with blue and black woollen plaid ; a pair of woollen Muffitees, purple and black, wti'd in the top coat pocket, and a pair of dog- skin Gloves. Further information respecting the Mare, Cart, and Harness, advertised in Police Gazette of 14th ultimo, as stolen from East Grinstead: the mare has been thrown down, leaving scars on knees, instead of plain chesnut she is between a bay and chesnut, and advances one foot when standing, also a little taller than previously described. Sup- posed stolen by two men, who were seen at East Grinstead fair, and who frequent the London and country markets : lst, 24 to 25 years of age, short, good- looking, dark ever, black hair, small moustache, well- built, and of gipsey appear- ance ; dressed in dark mixture overcoat and low billycock hat. 2ud, 31 or 32 yeais of age, 6 feet 4 inches higb, dark complexion, cataiact in one eye, well- built, and has been food of fighting, a horse coper; dressed iu silk hat, long coit, and tight trousers. £ 20 reward will be paid by Mr. Vos for information that will lead to the apprehension aud conviction of the thieves and recovery of the property stolon. STURIPS, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 ot 9 incbes high, fair complexion, light hair, few light whiskers, and very slight moustache, walks quick, is very active, and of gentlemanly appearance; generally dressed in daik suit, and black overcoat, black haid felt hat. BOATH, eharged on a • warrant with embszzlement: he is 24 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark sallow complexion, dark eyes, black hair, slight dark moustache ; dressed in a dark suit, round felt bat, medium builel, walks erect, is near sighted, and has been in the navy ; he absconded on 13th instant, he then had in his possession a cornet, and it is supposed he wiil seek an engage- ment at some music hall or other public places where bands are engaged ; he was formerly a member of the band in a Rifle Corps. Absconded Lorn Newcastle- on- Tyne, on 12th instant, charged on a warrant with stealing £ 40, they moneys of his employers : HENRY PATTERSON, a clerk, about 17 yeais of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, light brown hair, large blue eiyes. and has somewhat thick lips ; dressed, when last seen, iu dark tweed suit ( small check), long blue cloth over- coat, hard felt hat, and elastic sided boots. He is believed to have booked for Carlisle ou the evening of 12th instant, in company with five others whose ages vary from 17 to 25 years, and are supposed to have gone to Ireland. Stanley' ; a daik h own silk Umbrella, has a small slit in the fold ; a pair of lady's high lace up Boots ; a pair of plain elastic- side ditto; two pairs of ladies'kid Gloves, fasten with a spring and bound with fur, one green the other black colour ; a silver Locket, marked ' A. E. L' on outside, containing the photograph of a gentleman and has a dent on back ; a small old fashioned gold Biooch, containing hair : a signet Ring ; a lady's gold Ring, made very thin ; a gold chased Stud; a plain ditto with pearl back; a silk Handkerchief with reddkh stiipes ; several pieces of different coloured Ribbon; a lady's straw Hat, trimmed with dark green velvet and black feather ; a sham sealskin Purse; a dark Dress, trimmed with brown silk ; about 3s. in Silver ; a fawn- cclouied Dress, trimmed with light green ; a grey lustre Dress ; a black over Skirt and Bodice ; a white flannel Petticoat, marked ' F Stanley' on band; one felt Skirt, trimmed with black biaid ; alight- coloured Petticoat, trimmed with three rows of red braid. She is about 2i years of age, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, dark hair and eyes, very dark com- plexion, and has lost the top of forefinger of left hand ; sup- posed dressed in a brown linsey dress, rather short, black cloth jacket, rather shabby, black straw hat, and may be found wearing a black and red plaid shawl. Speaks broken Welch, and supposed to be a native of Lydney, Gloucestershire. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Rawle, Fishponds, Gloucestershire.— Bow- street, January 16. Charged with stealing from his logings on 11th instant: a pair of Trousers, a pair of lace- up watertight Boots, and 16s. 6d. in Money. A man, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, round face, dark complexion, slight daik whiskers ; dressed in black hard billycock hat, old black cloth jacket, grey waistcoat, old black corded cloth trousers, with light stripe down the sides, and patched on the knees with black cloth, and light coloured neckiie, and watertight boots, which are unstitched on the side from the bottom of lace holes. Information to be given to Inspector McCrea, Tainworth, or to Police Constable Riley, Fageley, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, January 16. Description of Sergeant WILLIAM CLAYTON, of the 97th Regiment, Maidstone, who has absconded, stealing £ 20, on 7th instant : he is 40 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, florid complexion, grey eyes, brown bai. r and moustache, and clean shaved; supposed to be dressed in plain clothes; has his wife and children at the Infantry Barracks, Maidstone, and is likely to be found in a military or naval town. Absconded, charged with stealing from hi3 lodgings at Harper Hill, near Buxton, on 3rd instant: a silver Geneva Watch, No. 8991, and about 15s, in Silver and Copper; a young man named WILLIAM ALLEN, labourer, native of Belper, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 2 or. 3| inches high, dark brown hair, slight whiskers and moustache, thin face, sallow complexion ; dressed in grey tweed suit, and soft billycock hat' Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Hallam, County Police Office, Chapel- en- le- Frith, Derbyshire, via Stockport.— Bow- street, January 16. Description of HENRY BROWN, charged on a warrant with stealing a Roil of Zinc, at Tunbridge Wells, on the 1st instant : he is 18 years old, 5 feet 6i inches high, browu hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, shabbily'dresaed. Has worked as a painter and plumber, and was convicted at Maidstone Quarter Sessions in July, 1877, for stealing lead, and sen- tenced to four months Lard labour. Information to be given to Chief Constable, Town Hall, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.— Brno- street. January 16. Description of JOSEPH WITHERSPOON, cashier, who absconded on 31st ultimo, charged with stealing £ 280 12s. 6$ d., the moneys of H. O. Three men came by the train arriving at Cheddar at 4.50 p. m., and are supposed to be connected with the robbery; the first about 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, second about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high ; third about 5 feet 2 or 3 inches. All are apparently from 25 to 30 years of age, and all wearing long dark overcoats and low dark hats, were seen on the Axbridge Road at about 5.45 p. m.
