Henderson, and Henry Johnson, natives of England, who stand charged with having, on the 23rd October, 1877, in tho city of Glasgow, fraudulently obtained from a gentleman in Donegal, a Hungarian bond for £ 300, with which they absconded :— 1. Red fleshy lips, double chin, squints a little with one eye, no beard or whiskers, abou'. 16 stone weight; red eyes, regular nose, red complexion, red face, very stout make, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 50 years of age, reddish hair; wore a silk hat, black frock coat, dark trowsers and vest. 2. Well built, slight fair moustache, fair com- plexion, red face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 28 years of age; wore a gray hat, blue over- coat, gray trowsers and vest, yellow kid gloves. 3. Black whiskers and moustache, dark com- plexion, ordinary make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about } 15 or 40 years of # ge; wore a felt hat, dark coat, dark trowsers and vest. Ballyshannon, Nov. 12, 1877. DESCRIPTION of the under- mentioned, who is wanted on Warrant charging him with having obtained goods by false pretences from trades- people in Dublin :— Charles Doyle, about 32 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, dark brown hair, dark brown whiskers and moustache, chin shaved, pale complexion, and marked very much about the nose with small- pox; dressed in a dark tweed Derby coat, shabby gray tweed trow- sers and vest, and round . jerry hat; he is a native ; came back from America lately, and said he had a return ticket to go back by the steamship Germania. • Information to the Superintendent of the Detective Department, 3, Exchange- court, Dublin, who holds Warrant. STOLEN from the North- wall, Dublin, on the 17th August, 1877, the following articles, the property of a passenger, between Holyhead and Dublin, viz.:— A brown leather portmanteau, J. C. on each end, canvas cover, same initials on ends, containing the following articles, viz — a new dress suit, made by Buckmaster, Dawson- street, a morning suit, a shawl- pattern dressing gown ( red flannel lining), about 8 linen shirts ( 2 fancy), 2 night shirts, 1 pair of merino drawers, 2 silk under- vests; the name Buckmaster supposed on inside of collars of coats, on inside of back straps of vests, on inside of waistbands of trow- sers, and on buttons of latter; 1 dozen collars, 6 silk and 6 cambric pocket- handkerchiefs, and some silk ties, 1 dressing- case well furnished, 1 pair of London Made razors with ivory hafts ( I of latter split), 1 French razor strop ( maker Eubriel), 1 pair hair- brushes in case, 1 long tortoise- shell comb ( a tooth broken), a large magnifying glass mounted in metal, a small do. mounted in tortoise- shell, a large white ivory double opera- glass, a complete set of ivory teeth ( gold springs), 1 fancy inkstand ( double cover), a Roman Catholic prayerbook ( bound in Russian lea- ther, a cross on cover), several reading essays, books, < fec., Ac., a silver- mounted cigar case to hold 8 cigars, a brown leather flft, about 18 cabinet cigars, and 1 onyx breast- pin^ with studs to match. Informatioi^ po the Detective Department, 3, Ex- lan ge- court, Dublin. change- October 4, 1877, JOHN MALLON, Superintendent. DESCRIPTION of a man and woman, names unknown, who are wanted on suspicion of having stolen a cow, which they had in their possession, and offered lor sale to a butcher at Bull- alley, between 4 and 5 A. M., on the 10th instant:— The man is about 45 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout build, sandy hair and whiskers, chin shaved, full face, and fresh complexion ; dressed in an old brown frock coat, light tweed trowsers, and soft jerry hat. The woman is 30 to 35 years of age, low size, full features, and pale complexion ; wore an old dark straw bonnet and old light colour plaid shawl. Both ran away, leaving the cow behind, when they saw some hesitation about buying her. The cow has been claimed by Mr. Richard Graghan. of Kilmore, Coolock, and was stolen from his lands at that place. JOHN MALLON, Superintendent. Superintendent's Office, Aug. 20,1877. DESCRIPTION of James Reynolds, ' wanted for stealing £ 40 from his master on 14th instant, and absconding:— He is between 17 and 18 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, ruddy complexion, dark hair inclined to curl, light blue eyes, marks of boils on side of neck ; wore a black cloth jacket, low- crowned hat; speaks with a strong North of Ireland accent; was a page; is a native of Whitehall, Ballymena, county Antrim, where his parents are supposed to reside. DESCRIPTION of an ass, the property of Catherine Doyle, which was stolen from the lands of Kilcloney, parish of Cloneygoose, barony ot Idrone East, on the night of the 13th or morning of the 14th instant:— A gray male ass, not castrated, hair off back under straddle on right side, and off the fore feet near fetlocks, a hole in hoof of leading fore foot, narrow over the hips, breast and belly white, not shod, 7 years old, fair condition, and value for about £ 3. DESCRIPTION of 5 lambs, the property of John Dolan, of Ballinabramia, which were stolen from said lands on the night of the 14th or early on the morning of 15tli inst., viz.:— Four ewe lambs, 2 of them branded on left side with the letters J. D., and 2 not branded, but marked with red raddle on the back and right jaw; I ram lamb, branded on left side with the letters J. R., who stands charged with having, on the 22nd March, 1875, in the barony of Coshlea, parish of Kilbebeny, fired at Patten S. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle :— Rather short neck, slightly round shoulders; brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled completion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. DESCRIPTION of 2 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 30th March, 1876, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Mitchelstown, been two of a party who fired at and wounded Patten Bridge, esq., and Constable Mathew Nugent, and shot- John Hyland dead at same time and place:— 1. Unknown— Fair complexion, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 35 years of age, sandy whiskers nearly meeting under the chin ; wore a cloth frock coat; had his face blackened. 2. J. K. Walsh, c. c. :— Slight twitching about the eyes; hazel eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair, light hair on jaws as if he never shaved; wore a low felt hat, old black frock coat, light tweed trowsers; is a servant boy. DESCRIPTION of 5 heifers,, the property of Thomas T. Bowers, esq,, which we're stolen from the lands of Raheenarnan, in , the parish of Kilmoganny, barony of Kells, on the 15th or. 16th instant •— Two red or red and white heifers, in good con- dition. Two strawberry or roan heifers, in good condition. One white heifer with some light red spots— si remarkably lengthy animal, and supposed in calf. The latter had three remarkable spots on one side resembling the letters A, B, and O. Each of the 6 is I.£ years old, and value for £ 9. Callan, November 21, 1877. ( 15121— c. 26566.) DESCRIPTION of the under- named young offender, who, pn thq 17th, November, 1877, absconded from the King's County Reformatory School at Philipstown — Patrick Kelly ( alias Joseph Early), No.' 418, 16 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, broad nose, large mouth, round visage, cut- mark across forehead; formerly belonged to 8, Wood- lane, Dublin, where his parents reside. The school dress, all with Reformatory stamp, con- sists of— corduroy jacket, trowsers, and vest, Scotch cap, strong nailed boots. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expense of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 2. ( 11917 m.— 1943 j.) The special attention of the Constabulary is directed to the following: DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, ( mother's surname Quigley,) native of Knockgranagh, who stands charged with having, pn the 29th November, ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large stone :— Down- loo/ cing a- ppearance, two upper front teeth large and prominent, high cheek bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shoulders; it is also stated that Hunt's left wrist is tattooed; glaring black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow complexion, oval faoe, stout make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, black hair, small dark- moustache ; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest. Was in America, and lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. Has a pair of English- made navvy boots with iron plates under toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots. DESCRIPTION of 2 persons, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 16th November, 1877, in the barony of Kilnamanagh, parish of Toem, assaulted William Loughman, and taken from him a six- chambered revolver with a bright barrel of small bore :— 1. Weak beard, as if his face had never been shaved ; fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 25 years of age; were a dark clpth cap, blue cloth coat, whitish corduroy trowsers, check flannel shirt. ! 2. May have a gun- shot wound ; dark complexion, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 25 years of age; wore a dark cloth cap, blue cloth coat, dark tweed trowsers. Dundrum, Nov. 17, 1877. DESCRIPTION of 3 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd November, 1877, in the barony of Glenahiry, parish of Inishlaught, and county of Waterford, attacked and robbed James Lonergan of 9. s. 6d. on the public road :— 1. Stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 24 years of age; wore a soft low hat, drawn over his eyes, dark coat and trowsers; mutfled up about the face. . ,, !•• ,. 2. DESCRIPTION of a person, name unknown, supposed native pf Tyrone. ( near, Broughderg), who stands charged with having, on the 3rd November, 1877, at Broughderg, in the barony of Upper Dungannon, parish of Lissen, entered the house of Edward M'Cullagh, at 9 o'clock, A. M. ( his face blackened, and armed with a pistol,) apd broken open a drawer of press and stolen therefrom £ 32 ; and also, with the pistol in his hand, threatened Edward M'Cullagh's son, a boy of 16 years of age, who was the oldest member of the family present :— Gray, eyes, ,5 feet 7 or 8 inphes high; , worp a tall hat, a long- skirted dark coat, old boots, broken at the toes. DESCRIPTION of a man, name unknown ( supposed to be Duggan or Flaherty), supposed native of city of Waterford, who stands charged on suspicion with having, on the 13th November, 1877, at Enniscorthy, in the barony of Scarawalsh, parish of Saint Mary's, stolen an ass and car, the property of Thomas Nolan, from the yard of Mr. George Freeman, miller:— Tender feet; fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 22 years of age; wore a jerry hat, brown coat, tweed trowsers; looked like a labourer. Enniscorthy, Nov. 17, 1877. ( 15120 c 26565.) DESCRIPTION of an ass and car, the property of Thomas Nolan, which were stolen from the mill- yard of Mr. George Freeman, in the town of Enniscorthy, parish of Saint Mary's, and barony of Scarawalsh, on the 13th November, 1877:— The ass was a large gray gelding, 7 years old, hole in right side of upper lip, branded with the letter S on both sides of breast with a hot iron; value for £ 3; his tackling was on him. The car was of dray make, short heels, bits of new timber added to side lacing ( not painted), car painted pale red, and had on it the owner's name and residence, Thomas Nolan, Askinamoe; there were 3 empty sacks, a red handkerchief, and some oats in the car. « Enniscorthy, Nov. 17, 1877.
