The dwelling- house of Miss Wakelin, Banning, Berks, was broken and entered during the night of 3rd instant, and stolen therein : 2 silver Tea Spoons, marked with the letter ' G', and a bear on a coronet; 3 ditto Dessert, and 2 ditto Table Spoons, some marked and some not marked; 1 Ame- rican white metal Clock, maker ' Seth Thomas, patented October 24tb, 1876,' painted on dial, the brass legs have been taken off; 1 silver Medal, ' Oxford and Cambridge Athletic Sports,' engraved on one side, and throwing a cricket ball, on the other side; 1 plated Cruet, marked ' Baliol College Regatta, scratch pairs'; 2 plated Tea Spoons ; 1 pair plated Sugar Tongs, marked ' W. Further information respecting the brown Horse stolen from a field at Timperley, and advertised ia the Police Gazatte of 29th July, 1874 : he horse has been found sold at Stockport, about the time it was stolen, by a man named JAMES NIGHTINGALE, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 6or 7 inches high, light complexion, and travelled about the country with an entire horse previous to the horse being stolen, and has worked in the neighbourhood of Hjde, Cheshire. H « was foiurerly driving an omnibus in Wolverhampton, also a market van coming into that place. Absconded from Newark, on 5th instant : THOMAS DERRY, a clerk in Messrs. Godfrey and Riddell's Bank, charged on a warrant with Btealii g a large quantity of £ 5 and £ 10 Bank Notes. He is 35 years of age, about 5 feet 7 , inches higb, stout build, short thick neck, full face, light brown hair, whiskers, heard and moustache, and turns his toes in when walking ; dressed iu dark grey mixture suit, trousers wide in the legs. Whoever will apprehend or give such information as shall had to his apprehension shall receive £ 25 reward. Description of JOSEPH TAYLOR, a labourer, of Mor- cott, charged on a warrant, with stealing two live tam8 Fowls from Joseph Thorpe, of Morcott, on 23rd ultimo : 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches higb, brown hair, very little whiskers, sallow complexion, long thin face, has a shambling gait; dressed in a cap old brown coat, with patoh on left shoulder, sewn on with white cotton, moleskin trousers, and elastic- side boots.
