T WOUKBIIfO Description of a youth who on 25th August last, whilst engaged in a fight with another youth in Great Portland- street, gave him a blow on tha right eye, causing his death on 15ih ultimo. An inquest was held ou 28th ultimo, and a verdict of ' Manslaughter' returned against him. He is 16 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches h'gh, and dark thin face ; dressed in dark jacket and trousers, straw hat, black band, and can Py two men, one about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, fair complexion, sandy whiskers aud mous- tache ; dressed in ling drab overcoat, dark trousers, and soft black felt hat. The other from .26 to 30 years of age, about 5 feet 3 inches high, sallow complexion, small black mous- tache, no whiskers, has an impediment iu speech, right eye very much swollen, which has the appearance of an extension of the pupil ; dressed in small black coat and vest, double- breasted, light trousers, and small low- crowned hard felt hat. During tho night of 25th instant, ( he dwelling- house of Mr. Francis Hawkins, Hamstead- road, Handsworth, was broken into and stolen therein : an 8- inch circular Waiter, electro- plated on German silver ; a 10- inch ditto ; a Cup, cocoa- nut body, with part gilt stem and foot, stands 10 ins. high ; a card Basket, electro- plated on German silver ; a small lady's Companion, engraved all over, electro- plated on copper ; and a small pocket Knife, pearl handle. Supposed by a man, about 26 years of age, 5 fee 6 or 7 inches higb, fair complexion, light hair, no whisker* rather slight figure ; dressed in a dark cap, dirty white fustian trouserc, heavy half boots, and may be wearing the stolen coat. He is a tramping labourer, aud supposed to have been a soldier. DEER, a quack doctor and herbalist, late of Falmouth, charged witn stealing a Pony and Trap on 8th ultimo, the property of William James Cock, post horse keeper, of Grampound- road, of which he was the bailee, the property has been recovered : he if, from 35 to 40 years of age, about 5 feet 7 incheshigh, dark complexion and hair, long whiskers and moustache; dt essed in black high pole hat, black cloth coat and vest, white and blue cravat, and elastic- side boots. He left Peijzicce on the morning of 9th ultimo, for Helston, and thence to Falmouth. He attends fairs and markets, and stands on a chair to sell his quack medicines, or he may be found selling mock jewellery by auction. Absconded on 28th ultimo, from the Wellesley Hotel, Hill- street, Woolwich, stealing £ 20: FRANK QUINN, servant, 18 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, pimples on right cheek, slight build, sharp features; dressed in loose sac overcoat, fustian trousers, cheesecutter cap; has founds at Glencow, and Newry, Ireland, to which places he is likely to go ; he also has friends in Essex, Sussex, and Kent; he was entrusted with the £ 20 to get changed, and absconded with it. At the time the offence was committed of which the prisoner was convicted, he was in the service of Mr. John Jones, of Maesypandy, near Talyllyn, Merionethshire, as a farm labourer, and he will probably seek work as such. He is well known at the Van Mines, near Llanidloes, Mont- gomeryshire, and at Cerrigydruidion, Denbighshire. He has served in the Merioneth Militia at Bala.
