Stolen from a field at Millington, during the night of 26th instant: an aged black and white female Goat, in full milk, and a dark brown male Goat, aged about 4 months. Further information respecting the man charged with stealing at Newton Kyme, Tadcaster, advertised in Police Gazette of 22nd instant : he is supposed to be the same man who stole the Lambs at Baguley, Cheshire, on 8th instant. j£ 3 reward is offered for his apprehension. Stolen from a field at luckington, Wilts, on the night of 17th instant; a heavy cart Mare, 16 hands higb, aged, ia low condition, has recently had the pole evil, has a white star on the forehead, and the breast hay been torn and sewn up. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Luffman, Malmesbury, Wiltshire.— Bows', rest, October 31. Description of a man who bad possession of two Horses, and on being questioned absconded on 25th in a'ait: 20 years of age, 5 feet high, fresh complexion, and no whiskers ; dressed in black soft felt hat, blue and white striped tie, and can be identified. Description of Horses : 1st, dark brown Mare, 13 hands high, spot, on back, star on forehead, and white hind, feet, saddle marked, and black mane and tail. 2nd, a bay horse Pony, 9 hands high, white face and feet, long inano and tail. Stolen on 5th instant, from a field on Rowley Hills., Oldbury ; an aged chesnut- coloured Horse, 14£ hands high, has a scar on its off shoulder, slendir legs, near hind leg swoollen, and marked by the girth buckle"; the property of Samuel Growcott, Oldbury. An icquest was held on 28th ultimo, and a Terdict of ' Manslaughter' returned against him. He is 16 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches b'gh, and dark thin face ; dressed in dark jacket and trousers, straw hat, black band, aad can be identified.— Metropolitan Police, E Division, October 29. Absconded on 15th instant, from Woodcock Hill, near Northfield, charged on a warrant with shooting at Charlotte Anthonesa, witli intent to murder her : JOHN SMITH, a painter, 31 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh com- - plexion, dark hair, eyes, whiskers, and moustache ; dressed in black cloth jacket, trimmed with braid, dark vest and : trousers, and light elastic- side boots. Absconded, charged with a man named ' Richard Perry ' in custody, with highway robbery with violence, at Loughton, Essex, 16th instant: two men, one 27 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches higb, fair complexion, hair, and whiskers ( slight) ; dressed in corduroy or fustian jacket, corduroy vest and trousers, and dark soft felt hat; the other 22 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion, hair, and eyes; dressed in dark jacket, vest, and trousers ( fitting tight), dark soft felt hat. Both men are known to the Metropolitan Police at Chigwell, Woodford, and Loughton, and also to the Essex Constaoulary at Epping. Stolen from the person at Market Drayton Fair, on 24th instant: seven £ 5 Bank of England Notes, Nos. 39049 to 39053 inclusive, Nos. of the two others not known ; and J21 in Gold ; also a large drab Purse, containing a Cheese Bill of 17 cwt. and 14lb3. of Cheese delivered to Mr. Lewis, of Market Drayton, cheese factor, and £ 50 marked on bill as received on account for the cheese. Supposed by a small man, dressed in daik clothes, hard felt liat, and small sandy whiskers. Supposed from Birmingham or Manchester. Stolen from the person near Grains Bar, saddleworth, at 11- 30 p. m. on 27th instant: a silver Geneva Watch, engine turned case, white dial, steel hands, had ' Ephriam Shaw' engraved on dome, black silk Guard attached; a brown leather Purse, with 5 ce mpartments, fastened with clasp iu front, and contained eightpence in coppers. By a man, afcout 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches higb, dark complexion, slender build ; dressed in dark coat and vest, light trousers, and dark billycock hat. Stolen from the person of Mr. McCall, landlord of the ' Prince Albert,' Gravesend, on the evening of 24th instant, the following Bank of England Notes, payment has been shopped; one £ 100, No. 55410 ; one £ 50, No. 50465 ; seven vflofNos, 11302, 11303,11305, 11307, 11309, 11310, 11311. By two men, one about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, fair complexion, sandy whiskers and mous- tache ; dressed in ling drab overcoat, dark trousers, and soft black felt hat. The other from 26 to 30 years of age, aboat 5 feet 3 inches high, sallow complexion, email black mous- tache, no whiskers, has an impediment in speech, right eye very much swollen, which has the appearance of an extension of the pupil; dressed in small black coat and vest, double- breasted, light trousers, and small low- crowned hard felt hat. These men are known to be associates of boxing men, and supposed to reside at the East end of London. Information to be given to Chief Constable Berry, Gravesend, Kent.— Bow- street, October 29. S ;' a box of Landormeda Cigars ; two glass Spirit Bottles ; a pair of lace- up Boots ; a pigskin Cigar Case ; a silver Caddy Spoon ; a photograph Magnifying Glass, ivory handle ; a plated silver Fish Knife and Fork, in morocco case; three pairs of Scissors ; a few silver Thimbles ; and £ f0 in half Bank Notes. Davies; four linen Collars ; a new striped flannel Shirt; a light cloth Coat; two pairs of woollen Stockings ; a pair of cotton cord Trousers, nearly new ; a brown clota Waistcoat; a silk Scarf; a loaf of Biead ; lbs. of Butter; a butter Basin: a moleskin Vest with sleeves; a black silk Guard with a small gold Lojket attached ; a pair of black atd white striped woollen Cuffs. Supposed by two men, one a labourer, about 34 years of ago, 5 feet 10 inches high, smart figure, dark complexion, d< uk hair turnirg grey, datk whiskers and moustache, dark cloth coat, light woolleu cord trousers, soft billycock hat, lace- up boots, tattooed on one arm with French flag, t on the other stars and stripes. The other about 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, fair complexion, very light hair and whiskers, daik cloth coat, moleskin trousers, billycock hat, old boots, nose flat, and rather on one side. Information to be given to the Chief Constable, Penybont, or to Police Constable Sankey, Colwyn, Radnorshire.— Bow- street, October 31. Mrs. Chennells, stolen therein; a black cloth Coat, bound with silk braid, and hip pockets ; a rosewood Work Box, containing suadiy Articles ; a Bucks and Oxon Union Bank Book and a Cheque Tea Spoons; a pair of silver Sugar Tongs ; a boy's black cloth Waistcoat; and two old Pistols. The house of the Rev. Drake wai also broken into, and a gardener's Knife stolen, with the name ' Wingfield, Sheffield' on it. Information to be given to Inspector Goodyear, Police Station, Great Berkhampatead, Herts.— Bow- street, October 31. The house of James Clarke, Brook House, Sontley, was broken into on 26th instant, and stolen therein : a dark grey suit of Clothes, mens size, nearly new ; a pair of black cloth Trousers, fall front; a black Vest, trimmed with braid, which is much worn at back of neck ; and a black and white plaid woollen Shirt. Supposed by a tramp. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Wilde, Wrexham, Denbighshire. — B( M- itrcet, October 2SL Daring the night of 15th instant, a work- room at the factory of Messrs. Silas Dyke and Sons, glove manufacturers, Milborne Port, was broken and entered, and about thirteen dozen pairs of Gloves stolen therein. By SAML. FUDGE, of Milborne Port, leather parer, 28 yeai s of age, 5 fe ; t 4 or 5 inches high, swarthy complexion, black hair, ftce shaven, small black moustache; dressed in dark jacket, waistcoat, and trousers, badly worn, large muffler round his neck, and bowler hat. Supposed to have in his possession ( and may be employed at some travelling show playing the same) a three valve brass trombone ; was last seen at Dorchester, where he sold some of the gloves, which are recovered, and he is well known at Worcester, Glastonbury, and Hereford. Informa- tion to be given to Mr. Superintendent Sheppard, Constabu- lary Office, Wincanton, Somerset, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, October 29. During the night of 25th instant, the dwelling- house of Mr. Francis Hawkins, Hamstead- rosd, Handswortb, was broken into and stolen therein ; an 8- inch circular Waiter, electro- plated on German silver ; a 10- inch ditto; a Clip, cocoa- nut body, with part gilt stem and foot, stands 10 ins. high ; a card Basket, electro- plated on German silver ; a small lady's Companion, engraved all over, electro- plated on copper; and a small pocket Knife, pearl handle. AJt p m Description of a man calling himself Professor W. C. DEER, a quack doctor and herbalist, late of Falmouth, charged wim stealing a Pony and Trap on 8lh ultimo, the property of William James Cock, post horse keeper, of Grampound- road, of which he was the bailee, the property has been recovered : he is from 35 to 40 years of age. about 5 feet 7 inches high, dark complexion and hair, long whiskers and moustache; dressed in black high pole hat, black cloth coat and vest, white and blue cravat, and elastic- side boots. He left Penzance on the morning of 9th ultimo, for Helston. and thence to Falmouth. He attends fairs and markets, and stands on a chair to sell his quack medicines, or he may be found selling mock jewellery by auction. He left all his medicines at Penzance. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Marshall, Constabulary Station, Truro, Cornwall, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— 3m- ttreet, Nov: ruber 2. Stolen from a beer- house kept by Mrs. Watson, of Bridgnorth, on 30th ultimo, by eiatereing the bedroom : a Sovereign, 30s, in Silver, and a bunch of seven Keys. Sup- posed by a man about 40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, walks erect, short moustache, turning grey; dressed in grey cloth jimcrcw hat, blue pilot; overcoat, dark plaid ' trousers. Information to begiiren to Head Constable Cole, Bridgnorth, Salop.— Bm- xtreet, November 2, ot &, street-, uvu^ ^ i-, 35 years of age, 5 feet 4 ins. higb, dark complexion, hair, ana whiskers, thick upper lip, and blind of one eye ; dressed in dark clothes and felt hat .— Metropolitan Police, E Division., October 29, Stolen on 18th instant, from a common lodging bouse at Eastbourne, the property of Thomas Sivyer: au old blue cloth Overcoat, with velvet collar, has one pocket inside left breast, and three outside pockets, the front and flaps of the outside pockets are bound with military braid and the bottom is bound with common braid, it had an opening at the bottom of back seam only partially bound, ana has a small hole in one of the sleeves near th. 9 wrist-, and the collar has been mended. Supposed by a man, about 2( 5 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, fair complexion, light hair, no whiskers, rather slight figure ; dressed in a dark cap, dirty white fustian trousers, heavy half boots, and may ba wearing the stolen coat. He is a trampii g labourer, and supposed to have been a soldier. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Newnham, East Sussex Constabulary, Eastbourne.— Bow- strett, October 29. Further information respecting GEORGE ALFRED PHILLIPS, charged with stealing Bonds, value £ 5,000, a* d circulated in Police Gazette of 20th August last: he was last seen at Oxford Races, and was then clean shaved. It is be- lieved that he now frequents race meetings, and may be acting as clerk to a book maker.— Metropolitan Police, A Division, Oct, 29. S'olen frosn. a cottage at Cradley, the property of Olive Ann Oliver: a waterproof Cloak; also a fustian monkey Jacket, worn, two seams burst at back and side; and a white linen Jacket, the property of Benjamin Humphries, o£ Cradley. By a man who absconded on 21st instant: about 26 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches higb, medium | build, light complexion, light brown hair, small light sandy j whiskers and moustache, lost some of his toes, and has an impediment in his speech ; dressed in stolen jacket or old slop, light cot'on cord trousers, with small patches on knees • of a darker colour, light brown or grey cap, with small peak | of same material; he has worked at fatm labour and on a | railway between Bromyard and Worcester, and also states he ; has worked in iron forges in Wales and Staffordshire, and that his father lives in a cottage near the ' Greyhound' | public- house, Stourbridge. Absconded from Middlesborough, on 24th instant, ! charged with stealing £ 5 7s. 6' 1., belonging to his master : THOMAS BOWES, a clerk, 17 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, bro TO hair, fresh complexion, and lost left arm ; dressed in a grey tweed suit, and cloth cap, with | peak. He frequents low houses. Charged with embezzlement, SAMUEL GOSTICK, a journeyman saddler, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7- inches high, sallow complexion, blue eyes, black hair, little or no whiskers, j t aid on top of head, high forehead, thin face, and has a good ' address; dressed in a dark coat, grey trousers, dark stiipe down sides, and b'a^ k felt 1 at. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Turner, Upton- on- Severn, or to Inspector Jeffery, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, Ociober 29. Stolen from a farm- house, near Llanfyllin, during the night of 17th ultimo : a pair of woman's kid Boots, elastic sides, nearly new; and a pair of new woollen Stockings, woman's 8'' z >. Supposed by a girl about 15 years of age, dask. hair, and has a little turn in^ both eyes; dressed in brown Russell cord dress, a black straw hat, and is sup- posed to be wearing the stolen Boots, as an old pair was left behind.
