October 4, 1877. 1 DESCRIPTION of the under- mentioned, who calls him- self Doctor Taylor, and who is wanted, on Warrant charging him with having obtained several sums of money by falsely representing that he was collecting money for an hospital at Damascus :— He is between < 10 and 35 years old, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, black hair, heavy black eyebrows, black eyes, black mous- tache, and olive complexion ; dresses generally in dark cloth frock, check trowsers, and round black hat with a feather in band, and occasionally wears a brown overcoat and tall silk hat. DESCRIPTION of a. man and woman, nar^ ss unknown, who are wanted on suspicion of having stolen a cow, which they had in their possession, and offered for salo to a butcher at Bull- alley, between 4 and 5 A. M., on the 10th instant:— The man is about 45 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout build, sandy hair and whiskers, chin shaved, full face, and fresh complexion ; dressed in an old brown frock coat, light tweed trowsers, and soft jerry hat. The woman is 30 to 35 years of age, low size, full features, and pale com] •< on ; wore an old dark straw bonnet and old light \ r plaid shawl. Both ran away, leaving 1 , v behind, when they saw some hesitation" about - 1 % her. The cow has been . by Mr. Richard Graghan. of Kilmore, Co and was stolen from his lands at that place. DESCRIPTION of convict Thomas Boyle ( 2490), who has broken the conditions of his licence in not re- porting himself to the Constabulary on change of residence:— Convicted at Hillsborough, county Down, at Hilary Sessions, on 7th January, 1870, for larceny after previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to 10 years' penal servitude ; 35 years of age on con- viction, can read and write, is a Roman Catholic, is married and has one child, by calling a dealer, prison trade a weaver; born in Killyman, county Tyrone ; he resided before conviction in Belfast; his friends reside in Belfast; black hair, gray eyes, black eyebrows, prominent nose, large mouth, dark com- plexion, oval visage, slender make, 5 feet 5$ inches high ; a long cut in the hair over forehead. The above- named convict was released from Lusk Prison, on the 6th September, 1877, on an order of licence to be at large, and took his discharge for l. ivcrpool, which place he left without reporting his destination to the Constabulary, and ho is suspected of having gone to his wi e who lives in or near Belfast. DESCRIPTION of convict William Hodge ( 2472), who has broken the conditions of his licence in not reporting himself to the Constabulary on change of residence Convicted at Kanturk, county Cork, at December Sessions, on 31st December, 1872, for housebreaking and robbery, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude; 25 years of age on conviction, reads and writes badly, is a Protestant, single, by trade a miner, and discharged soldier, 65th Regiment; states he was born in Bandon, county Cork ( supposed to be untrue, Falmouth is believed to be the place); resided before conviction in Cork; states he cannot tell whether he has any friends alive or not; dark brown hair, brown eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, large mouth, sallow complexion, angular visage, stout make, 5 feet 6| inches high; pockmarks on right cheek; an anchor on right arm, an eagle on left arm, a bracelet and crown on left wrist, and bracelet on right wrist tall tattoo marks), D. on left breast; lost one upper front tooth. The above- named convict was released from Lusk Prison, on the 20th February, 1877, on an order of licence to be at large, and took his discharge for Dublin. This man has been residing in tho city of Cork, where he left about the 7th ultimo, without reporting himself, and haS not since been heard of. DESCRIPTION of John Connell, native of Kilhoyle, who stands charged with having, on the 24th day of May, 1877, in the barony of Keenaght, parish of Balteagh, assaulted Henry Kelly, junior, of Kilhoyle, by striking him on the head with a stone and kicking nim on the body, from the effects of which he died on the 10th inst.:— Old cut- marks on face; blue eyes, regular nose, florid complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 37 years of age, red hair; wore a soft round hat, it is supposed dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest. The special attention of the Constabulary is directed to the following: DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, ( mother's surname Quigley,) native of Knockgranagh, who stands charged with having, on the 29th November, ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large stone :— Down- looking appearance, two upper front teeth large and prominent, high cheek bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shoulders; it is also stated that Hunt's left wrist is tattooed; glaring black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, black hair, small dark moustache ; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest.
