G Division DESCRIPTION of James Reynolds, wanted for stealing £ 10 from lis master on 14th instant, and absconding :— He is between 17 and 18 years of age, about 8 feet 7 inches high, ruddy complexion, dark bair inclined to curl, light blue eyes, marks of boils on side of reck; wore a black cloth jacket low- crowied hat; speaks with a strong North of Ireland accent; was a page; is a native of Whitehall, Ballymena, county Antrim, where his parents are supposed to reside. Information to the Superintendent, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest Superintendent's Office. May 15, 1877. DESCRIPTION of a mare, at present in possession of the Police at Chancery- lane Police Station, snd whioh is supposed to have been stolen :— A bay mare, white star on forehead, and white over fetlocks of hind legs, white spot onder straddle, aged, and in poor condition. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle:— Rather short neeJe, slightly round shoulders; Brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled complexion, long face, stout make, 6 feet 10 inches high, abont 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. The above- named convict was released from Lusk Prison, 18th February, 1877, on an order of licence to be at large, and rook his disc1 arge for Oola, cou ty Limerick, where he reported himself to the Constabulary. He left Oola without reporting himself, but s « nt a letter to the Constabulary there on the 24th July, 1177, bearing Knocklong post- mark. Relatives believe he went near Emly, county Tipperaty, but it is reported he may have lef, for America present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest, he should be dealt with tinder the 5th section of the Prevention ol Crimes Act, 34 and 35 Vie., chap. 112. Government Prisons Office, Dublin Castle, July 80, 1877. Londonderry DESCRIPTION of John Connell, native of Kilboyle, who stands charged with having, on the 24th day of May, 1877, in the barony of Keenaght, parish of Balteagh, assaulted Henry Kelly, junior, of Kilhoyle, by striking him on the head witii a stone and kicking him on the body, from the effects of which he died op the 10th inst.:— Old cut marks on jace; blue eyes, regular nose, florid complexion, round fice, stout make, .1 feet 7 inches hijih, abom 37 years of age, red hair wore a soit round hat, it is supposed dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest. Louth, DBSOBIPTION of a man, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on ' he night ot tbe 2nd August, 1877, in the barony of Ardee, parish of Mapastown, stolen a ewe and 2 lambs, which he sold in the fair of Crossmaglen, on the 3rd August, 1877 ; ' he three animals have been since recovered :— Dark complexion, low set make, 5 feet 6 or fi inches high, about 35 years of age, brown hair and moustache; wore a low dark hat, bright tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest; carried a large dark frieze overcoat across his arm. Michael Reilly— Holds down his head when walking, and has a slouching gait: gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark hsir wore a jerry hat, dark coat, cord trowsars, dark vest ; is a small farmer. 2. Patrick Byrne ( rape) not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 22nd May, 1877. DUBLIN CASTLE, 10th August, 1877. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about tbe hour of 1 o'clock, P. M , on the 2nd June last, James Young, esq., j P., was found dead on the avenne of- his residence, at Harristown, near Castlerea, having been murdered by some person or persons at present unknowns And whereas Their Excellencies the Lords Justices have, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of the said murder, offered a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the 11th June last, give such informa- tion as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the said murder; and a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result. His Grace is also pleased to offer a FREE PARDON to sny person concerned in the said crime, other than the person who actually committed the murder, who shall give such evidence as will lead to the conviction of the persons concerned with him in the crime. By His Grace's command, T. H. BURKE. The above rewards will be paid, on conviction, by Edward Wynne, esq., the Resident Magistrate at castlerea, to those vi. o may become entitled to them under the conditions above mentioned. The special attention of the Constabulary is directed to the following: DESCRIPTION of Thomas hunt, mother's surname Quigley,) native of Knockgranagh, who stands charged with having, on the 29th November, ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large stone:— Down- looking appearance, two upper front teeth large and prominent, high cheek bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shoulders; glaring black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow compexion, oval face, stout make, 6 feet 9 or 10 inches higb, about 27 or 28 years of age, black hair, small dark moustache; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest. Was in America, and lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. Has a pair of English- made navvy boots, with iron plates under toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots. DESCRIPTION of Jeremiah Boddy, native of Cap- pauniac, who stands charged with having, on tbe 30th July, 1877, iu the barony ot Clanwilliam, parish of Templeneiry, burglariously attempted to enter Ballydarrid Police Barrack, his face being blackened;— Large flat feet ; vulgar and awkward appearance; gray eyes, thick nose, fresh complexion round face, stout make, 6 feet 6 inches high, about 80 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a dark tweed coat, corduroy trowsers, gray tweed vest; is a farmer. DESCRIPTION of Morty Gleeson, native of Bally- hiskea and James Egan, native of Knockmore, who stand charged with having, on the 29th ol May. 1877, in the barony of Lower Ormond, parish of Nenagh ( town of Nenagh), seriously assaulted John Dwyer, of Carrigatoher, inflicting a bad fracture of the skull, from the effects of which he diod:— 1. Morty Gleeson— Brown eyes, cocked nose, sallow complexion, pale face, stout make, 5 feet 7£ inches high, about 50 years of age, black hair; wore a jerry hat, fri- ie coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed / est; is a fanner and cattle dealer. 2.
