ThERE was stolen last n- ght or this morning, from a dwelling- houso in this town, a gold lever watch, No. 35,264, gold oial, ste. l ban s and seconds, engraved cases, capped and jewelled. compensation balance, having attached a gold Albert guard, - i ra. in weight, 10- carat, short links, every alternate one being diamond cut ard the other carved: a gold locket, heart- shaped, damaged inside: X' 5 4a. " d. in money, consisting of 7 £ 1 bank notes, 1 Austra- lian sovereign. 4 half- sovereigns. and the balance in silver: a light gray tweed coat, double- breasted. buttons to match ; a vest of same material as coat, single- breasted. The person described below is strongly suspected of the theft, as he was a lodger in the house and absconded this morning:— William Drysdale, native of Edinburgh, an engineer fair h;> ir parted in centre, having a curl above each eve fair rud ly com- plexion, blue eyea ( sl'gh* cast upwards) wants 2 or 8 teeth in tipper jaw, shaved on cheeks brown toft on chin, small brown moustache : is 27 yerrs of age— looks younger; supposed to be dressed in the sto'en coat and vest, as be left his own behind, cheese cutter cap, dark blue serge trowsers and heavy laced hoots. Police officers are requested to make particular search and inquiry for the described person; and should he be found, and any portion of the oto'en property traced to his possession, apprehend and communicate w th tbe subscriber. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lords Justices that about the hour of 1 o'clock P M , op the 3r, 4 inst., James Young, esq., JP, was found dead on the aven e pf his residence, at Harristown, near Castlerea, having been murdered by some person or persons at present unknown Tbeir Excellencies, for the better apprehending and bringing to justioe the perpetrators of this murder, ara pleased hereby to offer a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arret, t of the person or persons who committed the same ; and a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result.
