WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lords Justices that about tie hour of 1 o'clock P M . on the Slid inst. James Young, esq. J P , was f ound dead on the avenue of his residence, at Harristown, mear Castlerea havin' been murdered by some person or persons at present unknown; Their Excellencies, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, are pleased hereby to offer a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information us shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same; and a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result. By Their Excellencies' command, T. H. BURKE. The above reward* will be oaid, on conviction, by Edward Wynne, esq., the Resident Magistrate at Oastlerea, to those who may become entitled to them under the conditions of this Proclamation.
