DISCRIPTION of Daniel Connell and John Connell, nat ves of Kilhoyle, who stand charged wiih having, on the 34th day of Way, 1877, in the barony of Keonaght, parish of Balteagh, assaulted Henry Kelly, junior, of Kilhoyle, by striking him on the head wiih a s'one and kicking h. m on the body, from the effects of which he d » ed on the 10th inst. 1. Daniel Connell— Blue eyes long sharp nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inhes high, about 88 years of age fair hair; w re toft bla k htt, it is lupposed gray tweed coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; walks with a swaggering gait. 2. DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on tbe i 6th of June, 1877, in the batony of Ardagh, parish of Templemichael, stolen two yearling heifers, the pro- perty of Mrs. Jane Martin, of Lisnamuck, and sold same in Collinstown on 17th iostant:— Soft eyes, fresh complexiID, ted face, B feet 8 inches high, ab mt 35 years of age, dark hair ; wore a black jerry hat, dark tweed coat trowsers, ant vest. DRBOBIPTION of a boy, name and native place un- known, who stands charge I with having, on the 5 6th June, 1877, in the barony of Costello, parish of Bekan, stolen two lambs, the property of Andrew Henry, of Cave, which have since been recovered :— Wild- looking appearance regular nose, freckled complexion, long thin face, very stout make, 6 feet 3 inches high, about 16 or 17 years of age, brown hair; wore a brown tweed cap, corduroy pack coat, old corduroy trowsers much worn and for. at the bottom, strong laced boots. It has also been ascer- tained that this boy left on Andrew Henry's land the same morning two ewe sheep a d a lamb, which were much fatigued, and evidently stolen ta iog in exchange Henry's lambs. A Warrant is in ti e hands of the Royal Irish Constibulary at Ballyhaunis DESCRIPTION of ihe two ewe sheep atd the lamb noi in tho pound at Ballyhaunis, suppose! to be stolen:— 1. A white ewe, 1 year old. value for £ 1 15 « . 2. A whi e ewe, 3 years old, valua for £ 1 18a. 3. A white Iamb, with long tail, about I months old, and value for about 18s. DESCRIPTION ot 8 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the morning of the Srd March, 1877, at Dernacartha, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilcolman, fired at and wounded James Downey and Martin Tomey, and fired i to dwelling- houses, And administered an illegal oath, and demanded money, in company with other men unknown :— 1. Unknown—. Pockpitted; fait complexion, long face, stout make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair, small fair whi.- kers; wore a seal- skin cap with en- flaps, corduroy jacket, and trowsers; apparently a labourer. 2. Unknown— Dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 80 years of age, dark hair, small dark whiskers; wore a jacket turned inside out, corduroy trowsers; apparently a labourer. 3. ( two ol whom are in custody) who assaulted Patrick Brides, of Knox, at corrackan a d inflicted wounds on him from which he has since died :— 1. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lords Justices that about tbe hour of 1 o'clock P. M , on the 2r. d inst., James Young, esq . 3 P., was found dead on the avenue of his residence, at Harristown, near Castle'ea, having been murdered by some person or persons at present unknowns Their Excellencies, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, are pleased hereby to offer a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same ; and a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result. ( 13500 c.— 21000 ) DESCRIPTION of a man, » ame and native place en known, and who stands charged with having, on t^ e 17th Jiu e, 1877, in the barony of Ballintober North, parish of Kilglass, demanded the mail bag aid also to see the letters, and, being refused, threatened Maurice Mahon, Post Offise messenger, and com- peted him to show the letters— regular nose, sal ow complexion, round full face, very stout make, 5 fee, 7 or 8 inches high, about 40 years of age black hiir, large black whiskers meeting under tbe chin , wore a round soft brown hat, bl ck coat and trowsers much worn and faded. The special attention of the Constabulary is directed to the following: DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, mother's surname Quigley,) native of Knockgranagh, who stand s charged with having, on the 29th November, ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large atone:— Down looking appearance, two upper front teeth large and prominent, high cheek bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shoulders; glari g black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow compexion, oval face, siout mate, 5 feei 9 or 10 inches high, about 27 or 28 years of age, black hair, small dark ± moustache; wore a dark cloth co* 1-, trowsers, and * vest. Was in America, and lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. Has a pair of English- made navvy boots, with iron plates under toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots. DESCRIPTION of James M'Cormack, native of Ronan; Morty Gleeson, native of Ballyhiskea; and James Egan. native of Knockmore, who stand charged witi having, on the S9th of May, 1877, in the barony of Lower Ormond, parish of Nenagh ( town of Nenagh) seriously assaulted Johu Dwyer, of Carrigatoher, inflicting a bad fracture of the skull:— 1. James M'Cormack— Brown eyes, regular nose, sandy complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feot 11 inches high, about 63 years of age brown bair; wore a round hat, frieze coat, corduroy breeches twesd vest t is a farmer. 2. DESCRIPTION of James Ford, native of Stewarts- town, who stands charged with having, on the 17th day of March, 1877, in the barony of Middle Dun- gannon, parish of Donag' eriry, riotously assemble 1 with others at Mullintain, and did then and there commit a riot, and, having been summoned to appf ar at Stewartstown Petty Sessions to answer said charge, has failed to do so:— Smart active appearance, deeply pockmarked; gray eyes, regular nose, dark complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, ab. iut 26 or 27 years of age, black hair, wears a large black moustache and imperial; wore. a black pea- jaeket, dark trowsers and vest, black jerry hat; is a shoemaker. HABITUAL CRIMINALS UNDEB POLICE SUPERVISION Who have not reported themselves, as required by " The Prevention of Crimes Act, 1871," and who are liable, on conviction, to IS months' imprisonment. I. Sub- Inspectors arc to report without delay to " The Registrar Of Habitual Criminali, Dublin Castlethe name* and descriptions of all persons under supervision reporting themselves in their respective Districts, II.
