DESCRIPTION of convict Christopher Cassidy, H4426,) who has broken the conditions of his licence in not reporting himself:— Convicted in the county of the city of Dublin, at September Sessions, on 6th September, 1870, for burglary, and seitenctd to 7 years' penal servitude; S2 years of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Roman Catholic, single, is a slater, prison trade a mason; born in Balbriggan he resided before conviction at 3, Aungier- street, Dublin, where his frieads reside; dark brown hair, gray tyes, dark brown eyebrows, ordinary nose ( cocked, » nd top inclined to right side), ordinary | mouth, callow complexion, round visage, averago make, S feet 3 inches high; lost a lower front toolh a small space between two upper front feetb, 4 small warts on cape of neck, cut- mark on bridge of nose; a ring tattooed on middle finger of right hand. The above- named convict was released from Spike Islaod Convict Prison, Srd October, 1876, on a second order of licence, and resided in Dublin since his release. He has not reported himself to the Police since the 28th March last, and his present whereabouts is unknown. DESCRIPTION of John Magee, native of Lurgan, who stands charged with haring, on the 25th dny of May, J 877, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankill, presented a revolver and threatened to shont one Ralph Fleeting:— Dark complexion, slender msk?, 6 feet 6 inches high, ebout 80 years of age, dark hair, black beard on chin, black moustache ? wore a black cap, datk frock coat, dark tweed trowsers gray tweed vest; this man is a mechanical engineer, and may he found about foundries or ironworks. Unknown — Slightly pockpitted, smart active appearance; gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full lace, stout mafefc, 6 feet 7# inches high, about 2ft years of age, fair hair inclined to curl; wore a fur cap, frieze coat, tweed trowsers and vest 2. Unknown— Smart active appearance; gray eyes, long thin nose, pale complexion, slight make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 24 or 25 years of age; wore a sack coat; took wish him a hard rouud black bat, with red lining, belonging to injured party; left his own hat instead. DESCRIPTION of 2 calves, the property of Timothy Ryan, of Gallaboola, county Limerick, which were stolen from off the fair- green < f Glenogra, parish of Glenogra, and barony of Smallcoanty, on the 31st May, 1877 :— 1. A bull calf, 1 year old, while spot on each hind quarter, red colour, white tar on forehead; value for £ 7 6s.', was marked with a straight cut of a knife on left hind quarter, called a buyer's mark. 2. DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 28th of March, 1877, in the barony of Carra, parish of Aglish, stopped Michael O'Neill, mason, of Castlebar, on the public road, at Aughadrinsgh, and threatened him if he would continue to build a house for Mr. George Acton, at Creeragh:— Fresh complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 25 years of age, very fair hair; wore a round black hat, dark frieze frock coat, white cord trows ers • Castlebar, March 29, 1877. DESCRIPTION ot 3 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the morning of the 3rd March, 1877, at Dernacartha, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilcolman, fired at and wounded James Downey and Martin Tomey, and fired into dwelling- houses, and administered an illegal oath, and demanded money, in company with other men unknown:— 1. Unknown— Pockpitted; fair complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair, small fair whiskers; wore a seal- skin cap with ear flaps, corduroy jacket, and trowsers; apparently a labourer. 9. Unknown— Dark complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet 7 inches high, aboat 80 years of age, dark hair, small dark whiskers; wore a jacket turned inside out, corduroy trowsers; apparently a labourer. 3. Unknown— Fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 25 years of age, no whiskers; wore white trowsers; apparently a labourer. Swineford, March 7, 1877. ( 12941 0— 91906.) DESCRIPTION of a man, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 11th of August, 1876, at about half- past 11 o'clock, A. M., in the barony of Carra, parish of Drum, at Loonamore, discharged three shots from a revolver from behind a rick of turf at George B. Acton, esq., Bridgemount, as he drove by, returning from the fair of Balla:— Face not muscular, about 18 stone weight, seemingly a man not accustomed to hard labour, swarthy or much sun- burnt complexion, round iace, very full make 6 feet 8 inches high, 40 years of age, darh sandy hair, beard and moustache; brown frieze sack coat, dark tweed Test, whitish trowsers, and a soit hat, with high crown. Monaghan DESCRIPTION of Michael Reilly, native of Clara, county Cavan, and John Budden, native of Drum- condra, county Cavan, who stand charged with having, on the 99th March, 1877, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Currin, been of a party ( two of whom aie in custody) who assaulted Patrick Brides, of Knox, at Corrackan, aud inflic ed wounds on him from w ich he h » s since died :— 1. Michael Reilly— Holds down his head when walking, and has a slouching gait; gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark heir, wore a jerry hat, dark coat, cord trows- rs, dark vest; is a small farmer. 2. John Rudden— Face all shaved; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, stout make, 6 feet 6 inches high, about 30 years of DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of Patrick Callan, which was stolen from the lands of Corna- garvogue, parish of Inniskeen, barony cf Farney, on the 25th May, 1877:— A yellow heifer, 1 year old, a little white on belly, a small wfc'te spot on fo ehead, top of tail white, short horns with a bit of the shell coming off one of them; value about £ 3 10 » . DUBLIN CASTLE, 11th June, 1877. WHERJSAS it has been represented to the Lords Justices, that about the hour of 1 o'clock, P. M , on the 2nd inst., James Young, esq., jr., was found dead on the avenue of his residence, at Harristown, near Castlerea, having been murdered by some person 0; persons at present unknown 1 Their Excellencies, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, are pleased hereby to offer a reward of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same; and a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS for such private information as shall lead to the same result. The above rewards will be paid, on conviction, by Edward Wynne, esq., the Resident Magistrate at Castlerea, to those who may bocome entitled to them under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, ( mother's surname Quigley,) nativeof Knockgranagh, whostandscharged with having, on the 99th November, ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a largo rone:— Down looking appearance, two upper front teeth large and prominent, high eheek bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shouldert; glaring black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow oomplexion, oval face, stout make, 6 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 97 or 98 years of age, black hair, small dark moustache; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest. Was in America, and lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. Has a pair of English- made navvy boots, with iron plates under toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots. DESCRIPTION of Bridget M'Enroe, native of Old- csstle, county Meath, who stands charged with having, on the 86th day of May, 1877, in the barony of Monaghan, parish of Monaghan, escaped from the Mor. aghan District Lunatic Asylum:— Wants several front teeth; dark/ ejes, rather prominent nose with flat bridge, sallow complexion, slightly pockpitted face, slight make, medium height, 65 years of age, dark hair; wore a faded paisley shawl, check print bodice, scarlet and another flannel petticoat, white night, cap; clothing except shawl aad scarkt petticoat, lettered M. L A.; had one boot on, the otbier foot bound up with cloth; slightly imbecile; convicted 7th January, 1867, on a charge of larc3ny and former convictions, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude r may assume name of Catherine Sherridan. James M'Cormack— Brown eyes, regular nose, sacdy complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 11 inchcs high, aboot 63 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hat, frieze coat, corduroy brecches, tweed vi- st t is a farmer. 2. Morty Gleeson— Brown eyes, cocked nose, sfllow complexion, pale face, stout make, 5 feet Laches high, about 50 years of age, black hair; wo e a jerry hat, frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed ver t; is a farmer and cattle dealer. 8. James Egan— Brown eyes, straight nos5, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet 7 inches high about 94 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hat, frieze coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest; is a farmer, . DESCRIPTION of Richard Bourke, native of Rath- cardan, who stands charged with having, on the 19th January, 1877, in the barony of tiilnamanagh Upper parish of Glenkeen, inflicted with a blunt weapon an injury on the head of John Bourke, at Rath cardan, from the effects of which he died on 9.0th inst. s— Gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, long face, slight make, 6 feet high, about 30 years of age, dark brown hair ; wore a frieze frock coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest. William Shields ( burglary) not arrested; Hue- aftd- Ciy. 2Srd March, 1,877. • DESCRIPTION of Frederick Holland, a sailor, native of Islington, London, who stands charged * ith having, on the 22nd of May, 1877, in the bajony of Forth parish of St. Michael's, stolen from the schooner " Jane and Catherine," a £ 20 Bank of England note, a £ 6 Bank of England note, and 8 sovereigns, the property of Captain Griffiths, the owner of the vessel, also a blue Guernsey frock, the property o/ one of the sailors:— Pockpitted, tender eye,?, slightly cocked nosa, fair complexion, thiu face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 21 years of age, fair hair; wore a black clot. h cap, blue Guor « cv frock, black cloth, tcow^ ers ; belongs to the Royal Naval Reserve, ard was drilled at South Shields, Newcastle - on - Tyne, in February last; Registry No. 5802, A Warrant for his arrest has been issued.
