James Mordaunt; age 78, looks younger ; tattooed with mermaid on side of left arm, J. M. front of fore- aim, crucifixion on side of right upper arm; got 6 months about 4 years ago at Birmingham. The 3 men above described are old offender?. Both are wanted htre. more especially Mordsunt, for having, on the 30th October last, obtained a horse ( for description see printed bills, 37th Decem- ber last, and photos can be had upon application) by means of a spurious counterfeit banker's cheque for £ 67 10*., since piovcd to be in the handwriting of the man Mordaunt. Please make special search, esp « cially at horse and cattle fairj and sale- rooms, for the men in qufstion, and comkr. unicate any in- foi mation, by telegraph or otherwise, to George Williams, Chief Constable, Wigan DESCRIPTION of 3 men wanted kere for felony :— Samuel Burke, alias James Henry De Burge, last residence John Wood- street, Salford, Manchester, or 51, Hope- street, off Oldham- road, Salford, 5 feet 4J inches high, age 30, fresh complexion, blue eyes, dark brown hair, scar on bridge of nose and back of left hand, also belongs to the Bury Militia, but omitted to r. ssemble at their last training. George Burdekin— 21 years of sge, 5 feet 7 itches high, fresh complexion, brown ht- ir, blue eyes, cut- mark on right eyebrow. Charles Diamond— About 24 or 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue ejes, lost first joint of fi'St finger on right hand or left. The above men are wanted on three distinct charges of felony, and are known to have been previously convicted of feloriy. They may be em- ploy ed at dye- works, one or all of them having worked at Worrell's dye works. Strict caution is essential in effect'ng their capture, as they are aware they are wanted.
