INFORMATIONS. MURDER AND MALIGIOUSLY WOUNDING. On 24th ultimo, the dead Body of a female child - apparently from 2 to 3 months old, was found in a privy VAult at Home Cottage, Boscombe, Bournemouth, aud is sapposed to have been dead about 2 months. At the coroner's inquest a verdict of ' Wilful Murder against some person or persons unknown' was returned £ 50 reward will be paid by Her Majesty's Government to any person ( other than a person belonging to a Police Force in the United Kingdom) who shall give such information and evideuee ai shall lead to the conviction of the murderer or murderer?, and the Secretary of State will advise the grant of Her Majesty's graciom pardon to any accomplice not being the person who actually committed the murder, who shall give such evidence as shall lead to a like result. Stolen from a dwelling- house, in Bolton, about 2 30 a. m. i on 27th instant, entrance having been effected by breaking through a back window : a black cloth double- breasted Ches- terfield Overci at, with black velvet collar, three pockets out- side, one inside left breast, and half worn. Also stolen from another dwelling- house during the night of 26th instant, entrance having been effected in a similar manner : a mau's black cloth suit, nearly new. Information to be given to Chief Constable Jackson, Sheffield, Yorkshire.— Bom- street, May 30. Between 10 and 11 p m. on 25th instant, the residence of G. W. Herbert, Esq, Yardley, was burglariously entered and stolen therein : a seal- skin Jacket, trimmed with heaver; a tight- fitting black silk velvet Jacket, trimmed wiih fur ; a long figured silk cloth Jacket, trimmfd with fringe ; two black satin Skirts, one trimmed with braid the other with beads; a pair of daik cloth Trousers; a black faucy cloth | Vest, dotted with green silk spots ; a six chamber Revolver, in mahogany case ; and a signet Ring, with blood- stone. : £ 5 reward will be paid on recovery of the property, and c mviction of the offender or offenders. Between 1 and 5 pm, on 28th instant, the louse of Thoma Davies, of Cefnllwyd, Llangyniew, was broken and entered and stolen therein : a snnff- brown cloth Jacket with pockets on hips, and one inside left breast; a woollen cord Waistcoat, half worn, white pearl buttons, patched inside lining under each pocket and on the shoulders; a pair of corduroy Trousers, fall front, lined with lambskin and lately ; washed ; a grey flannel Shiit with white stripe; a pair of woman's new white woollen Stockings ; two pairs of men'd old Boots, one with toecaps, the other strong lace- up ; aud an old guano Bag. Supposed by a tramp, from 23 to 25 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, very fresh complexion, and dark hair ; dressed in dark trousers, rough brown cloth, ! monkey jacket, and black soft hat turned up at the sides. : Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Ellis, Welsh- pool, or at the Police Station, Llanfair, Montgomeryshire.— j — Bow- stree., May 30. Between 11 p. m. on 25th and 6 a m. 26t. h instant, the dwelling- home of Mrs. Eliza Sheldrak ( widow), Church I House,' Oldham, was brokeu and entered and stolen therein : A silver Mustard Pot, marked ' R. E S' A ditto Sugar Sifter, an 1 about 20a. in Silver Monies. 12 plated Desstrt Kniv. s and Folks, in a case marked ' R. E. S.' 12 dinner Knives, ivory handles. A plated Fish Knife and Folk. A Toast Rack aud Sugar Sifter. A plated Salver. Information to be given at the Police Station, Witham, - Bow- street, May 28. Between 1 and 4 p. m. on 16th instant, the house of Thomas Hine, at Beddon Mill, Swithamley, near Leek, was broken into during the absence of the family, and stolen therein : a black cloth shooting Jacket, pocket inside breast, and two pockets outside; a pair of dark brown cloth Trousers; a black cloth Waistcoat; and an oval gold plated Locket, with monogram in front with the letters * GB ', aud iasi'le the photograph of the head and shoulders of a little girl, and a small gold plated Chain attached. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Williams, Leek, Stafford- shire.— Bow- ttreet, May 25. Stolen about 12 p m. on 22od instant, from the shop of Mr. Buckingham, High- street, St Alban's, by taking down two shutters and hreaking a pane of glass: an old China Tea- pot, with stard to put lamp under, white ground with blue sprigs ; an old Flemish quart Mug, with m- tal fixed lid, stone ground, with coloured pattern; two modern Cups and a Saucer, blue ground and figure ; an old Sevres Cup and Saucer ; a grey Landscape ; and a Leeds China Tea- caddy, cream- coloured, with flowere, about 3 inches fquare. Infor- mation to be given to Head Constable Pike, St. Alban's Herts.— Bow- street, May 25. About 12 p m. on 12th instant, the dwelling- house of Mrs. Dunn, of Moss Gate, near Hilderstone, was broken and entered by two men, who stole Half a Sovereign ; Bome Bread and Butter ; and a pair of woman's strong lace- up Boots, plain fronts, recently soled : one man is about 21 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, rather broad shoulders, large nose, very little whit- kers, and dirty looking ; dressed in black jacket, moleskin trousers, and old sammy hat, he wore clogs, aud bad a belt round his waist: the other mania about the same age, but much shorter, had a slight mous- tache, pale looking as if ill, and bow- legged ; dressed in cloth coat and trousers, supposed light colour, and black hard round felt bat; he will probably be wearing the stolen boots, as there was an old pair of elastic- side boots left behind ; this man held Mrs. Dunn down, and threatened to cut her throat with a razor, which he drew out of his pocket, if she made any noise. HORSE AND OATTLB STEALING* Stolen from a field near Western Lodge, Durham, a light brown Welsh Pony, about 14 hands high, 4 years old, white fetlocks, black patch ir. side of near hind foot, tail cut, and in good condition. Anyone giving such information as Bhall lead to the recovery of the pony will be rewarded. Stolen from the Eppynt Mountain, in the parish of Gwenddwr, Breconshire, between the 9th and 15th ultimo ; a 2- year old filly Pony, mountain breed, about 12 hands higb, colour blown, a little white and yellow hair under the belly aud flanks, black legs, and white star on forehead ; the pro- perty of Mr. W. Weale, of Erwhengel. £ 10 reward will be given to any peison giving such information as shall lead to the recovery of the pony hnd conviction of the thief or thieves, lnfoimation to be given to Mr. Superintendent Price, Brecon, or so Police Sergeant Flye, Builth, Breconshire. — B< rw- ttreet, June 1. Stolen from Midsummer Common, at Cambridge, since 20th instant: a bright bay half- bred Mare, 3 years old, 15 hands high, blazj on face, white hind legs, tail cut square with hocks, and had no shoes on. Information to be given to Head Constable Turrell, Cambridge.— Bene street, May 30. Stolen at Cambridge on 21st instant: a rather dark bay Mare, aged, with very broad chest, short tail, stumpy feet, and stands rather bow in front. By JOHN WILLIAM LOCKE, late of the 17th Lancers, about 22 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, fair complexion, light moustache, prominent baz- l eyes, light cuily hair, paited down centre, gentlemanly appearance ; dressed in a broad check light suit, with cloth gairtrs. The horse and man arrived at Liverpool- street Station, London, from Bury St. Edmunds, on the evening of 2lst instant Information to be given to Head Constable Turrall, Cambridge, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— how- street. Obtained on 28th ultimo, by the confidence trick, at the Bedford Hotel, Covent Garden: . twenty- five Bank of England Notes : 5 for £ 20, Nos. 4f5l6 to 45550. 10 for £ 10, Nos 62768 to 62777. 10 for £ 6, Nos. 32936 to 32945. By two men, first ? 5 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, fair, saudy hair, whiskets and moustache, and a scratch on nose ; dressed in Jight clothes and hard felt hat Second, 25 years of age, daik, no whiskers or moustache; dressed in dark clothes. — Metropolitan Police, E Division, June 1. Abiconded on 26th ultimo, embezzling £ 6 lis. lOd.' from Hounslow : a man, 20 years of age, 6 feet 7 inches higb, dark bair, eyes and complexion, stout build, clean shaved ; dressed in black diagonal coat, light vest, turndown collar, dark silk necktie, Scotch cap, and side- spring boots. Has been in the Army and Navy. Likely to emigrate.— Metropo- litan Police, T Division, June 1. Stolen on 30th ultimo, a patent lever silver stop Watch, No. 76005, sunk seconds, and without hands : by a man about 20y « ats of age, 5 feet 5 inches higb, sunburnt com- plexion, 10 whiskers, slight moustache, and light brown hair; dressed in a dark pilot oat, cord waistcoat, dark cord trousers, black cap, aud coloured muffler. POLICE GAZETTEJune 1 Stolen from a tailor's workroom in Kendal, during the night of 30th ultimo : a suit of brown mixture Clothes, with a red stripe ; a grey mixture double- breasted Vest and pair of Trousers ; a pair of very dark grey mixture cloth Trousers, all new ; three pairs of tailor's large Scissors; two pairs of small ditto ; several Bodkins ; and five bobbins of machine Silk. By a tramping tailor, who left his old clothes behind, and will probably be wearing the brown suit, he is about 45 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, dark whiskers, and has lost one eye. Information to be given to Chief Constable Wilkinson, Police Station, Kendal, Westmoreland. — Bow- street, June 1. Absconded from Shrewsbury on 27th instant, charged on a warrant with stealing from his lodgings : a pair of strong spring Boots, newly soled, part lace- up, and the upper parts hooks, and the bottom hook on inner side of right boot broken off; a boy's striped cotton Shirt; and a red Pocket- handkerchief. By a man who gives the name of CANNON, a tailor by trade, about 40 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark hair, tuft on chin, turning grey, high cheek bones, the mark of an old wound under the jaw, and ma'ked from smallpox; dressed in dark monkey jacket, dark dirty trousers, red and black neckerchief, and billycock ha'. Information to be given to Head Constable Davies, Shrews- bury, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street May 30. Absconded from Hednesford on 21st instant, charged with stealing a long brown Overcoat, two pockets outside and one inside left breast; a black cloth Jacket, pockets oa hips and one inside left breast; a blue striped Shirt; two neckerchiefs ; and two pocket Handkerchiefs: JAS. SLACK, a miner, 21 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, medium build, dark complexion, hair, eyes, and moustache ( slight), has lost an upper front tooth ; dressed in brown and blue striped cloth trousers, grey and white striped cloth vest, blue pilot cloth cap with peak, and supposed to be wearing the stolen coat, jacket, and boots. He is a native of Pitt- street, Burslem, whero he is said to have been convicted for stealing a watch. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Hill, Brownhills, or to Sergeant Cockerell, Police Station, Hednesford, near Stafford, who holds a warrant for his appre- hension.— Bm- street, May 30, Absconded on the 23rd instant, from No. 108, Trafalgar- road, Old Kent- road, stealing .£ 20 : a man, 17 years of age, 5 feet high, fair complexion and hair, stoops, and is a little baw- logged ; dressed in a brown overcoat, dark jacket under, light striped trousers, cheesecutter tap. Friends reside at John- street, Horscleydown.— Metropolitan Police, ¥ Division, May 30. Further information respecting CORNELIA BEATRICE BOULTON, advertised in the Police Gazette of 25th instant, charged with larceny : she has a pale complexion, very dark hair, worn loose, cut level at the ends, and reaching to the shoulders, walks Tery erect, and carries her head rather forward ; she was dressed in the stolen bonnet, circular tweed cloak, and black alpaca dress, and was carrying the stolen brown wicker pic nic basket, which is about 15 inches square, and 19 inches deep with handle, and has a steel rod through two loops for padlock on the top of the lid. She is well known at Mold, Flintshire. She spoke of going to London, and it is supposed that she has gone there. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Haines, Whitchurch, or to Sergeant Owen, Wen, Salop, who holds a warrant for her apprehension,— Bow- street, May 30. Absconded on 15th instant, from 135, Oxford- street, Marylebone, stealing a cheque fcr £ i 19s. 6d., also embezzling the sum of £ 10', since 7th March last: a man, 35 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark brown complexion and hair, moustache only, slender build, scar from cut over right eye ; tho Head Constable, Pulice Office, Maidstone, who holds the- warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, May 25. to Acting Inspector Severs, North riding Constabulary, Stokesley,— Bow street, May 28. Absconded on 22od instant, from 49, Bedford- street, Stepney, embezzling £ i : a man, 20 years of age, 5 ft. 4 ins. high, long black curly hair; dressed in black suit; a man of colour.— Metropolitan Police, K Division, May 28. Absconded on 21st instant, from Upper Gormal, Sadgley, charged on a warrant with stealing fifteen Shillings, a black cloth Jacket with pockets on hips, lined with alpaca, and a linen Shirt, the property of John Rollason : EDWARD ROLLASON, 24 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, thin light brown hair, hazel eyes, sallow complexion, rather flat nose, round face, and has a scorbutic disease on the head. He wears an old velvet cap, and is a nail forger. He is supposed to be wearing the stclen jacket, and moleskin trousers. In- formation to be given at the Police Office, Sedgley, Stafford- shire.— Bow- street, May 28. Absconded, charged with stealing two Overcoats, one grey, the other dark brown ( the property of Elijah Huxtable); and another, at the parish of Alstonfield, on 20th instant : JOHN STORER, about 22 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, rather stout, light hair, and 50 whiskers ; dressed in a vel- veteen jacket, moleskin trourtfes, and sammy hat ; and JAS. TURMICLIFF, about 28 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, broad shoulders, light sandy hair, no whiskers, fresh com- plexion, and mark across the nose; dressed in velveteen jacket, moleskin trousers, and black sammy hat. These men will probably seek employment as labourers or stone quarryman Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Williams, Leek, Staffordshire, who holds a warrant for their apprehen- sion.— Bow- ttreet, May 28. Description of THOMAS GEORGE, alias THOMAS HORTON, charged on a warrant with stealing a Greatcoat, two Slops, and one Handkerchief, the property of Horace Drury, St. Mary ' The Virgin,' Kent, on 3rd instant : about 23 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, light complexion, thin pale face, light brown hair, no whiskers or moustache, very weak eyes, has a peculiar look, carries bis head dowu and a little one side, tattooed on arms, and a ring round one finger, supposed in blue ink. He was brought up in the Orphan School at Stepney, London, has been a shoeblack, he is known in different towns in West Kent, and is commonly called SHOEBLACK, has travelled with horse dealers, and attends clubs and fairs. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Maxted, Kent Constabulary, Sandgate.— Bow- street, May 25. Absconded from Middlesborough, charged with stealing a Co it and Vest, recovered : a puddler, 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fair complexion, thin face, long nose, a blue mark on one side of jaw, supposed left, brown hair, light moustache, no whiskers, and slender build ; dressed ic dark pilot jacket, torn at middle of back, a blue linen jacket under- neath, moleskin vest and trousers, patched on one knee with material of a darker kind, and wore a black cap. Information to be given to Chief Constable Saggerson, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.— Bow- street, May 25. FELOMIES, ( Not otherwise described). Stolen since 18th instant, from a box in the vestry of St. James Church, Tuubridge Wei's: a silver parcel gilt Chalice, Plate, and Spoon, the cup it studded with 6 amethysts round the centre of stem, with rubiep, diamonds, & c, at base, in form of a cross ; the plate is EJ inches across, with inscrip- tion on it1 Communion of the Body of Christ'; the spoon is antique, with gold bowl. A reward will be given on recovery of the property, and conviction of the offender or offenders. ' 9 Head Constable, Tunbridge 28. dressed in dark clothes, high black hat; a clerk, native of Scotland, lately resided at 32, Limerstone- street, Fulham- road. He was accompanied by a woman, 22 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches, sallow complexion, black hair, large black eyes, and stout build ; dressed in a lavender gown, black velvet bonnet, white and black feather, and black cloth jacket trimmed with fur. Her father is employed at a carriage builders in Portsmouth, to which place it is supposed these persons may go. The man was dressed in a black fro: k coat, and had a narrow mourning band on hat.— Metropolitan Police, D Division, May 30. Stolen from a shop in Crewe on 25th instant: an Opera Glaes Case ( recovered), by a man about 30 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, rather stout built, fresh com- plexion, very small sandy whiskers, very bushy sabdy hair, curly at the back of his head, and neatly bald at the top; dressed in a brown cloth coat and billycock hat. He carries a small green box and sells scented bark. He was traced to Northwich on 28th instant. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Saxton, Nantwich, or to Inspector Morris, Police Station, Crewe, Cheshire.— Bow- street, May 30.
