( See Hue and- Ory of 15th instant.) DESCRIPTION of James Cameron, a mechanic, who absconded from this town on Friday last, 11 th instant, and for wnosa apprehension a Sheriffs Warrant has been g'anted, for breaking into the Mnseum here early on the morning ot Thursday, 10th instant, and stealing therefrom the artic'es described in my printed information of same date. The greater portion of the property was, as I h we been informed, hidden immediately after the commission of the theft, and will sot likely be found on the accused. It is stated that the thumb of his right hand and the third finger of his left hand have cuts upon them, re. ceived when breaking ihi glass of ihe w ndow or tbe glass- cases in the Museum :— Tne accused, who is a native of Dundee, is said t. i have been under the infl ieace of liquor when tha robbery was committed. He is 35 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, dark brown hair cut short, large blue eyes, whiskers shived off cheeks, small heard on chin about 3 iacbes long, round fac°, high cheek- bones, stout make, fresh COT plexi in ; wants the half of the second finqer of right hand ; the first and second fingers of the left hand had been squeezed in machinery, and he wants the power of the first joints of these fingers ; the th imb of his right hand and the third finger of his left hand were cut on 10th instant by glass, and will possibly yet bear marks of it jury ; dressed in dark tweed coat, dark tweed vest recantly washed, dark brown tweed trowsers, a pair of new socks, and a new scarf, and may have on a black felt hat or a dark tweed cloth cap. He has been three times in America, where he his several relatives, and he may attempt to get to America as fireman or otherwise on board a steamer, or he r> ay attempt to stow away on some vessel bound far America. It is a so passible he may endeavour to get employment at some public work. He is said to have left for Edinburgh on tha afternoon < f Friday, 11th instant, in order, if pos si b e. to escape from justice. The Police are earnest y requested to use every possible effort wi; h a view to the apprehensim of the accused. On intelligence being resfeive I of his apprehension, ei her by W. B. WANTED, on a charge cf embezzlement and theft Colin Campbell, a cletk, lately a commercial traveller. On Thursday, the 10th current, Campbell was entrusted by Mr. Pearson, builder, Kelvinside, Mary- hill, with the sum of £ 95— consisting of a £ 20 note of tbe City of Glasgow Bank, the rest in £ 6 notes ot the National Bank of Scotlmd— to go to Glasgow and pay some bills which were due. Campbell has not paid the bills, nor has he returned with the money. He is in the habit of frequenting houses of bad fame, and getting on the " spree." Age, from 28 to 30; height, over 6 feet; slender make; fair h ir; fair whiskers, thin on cheeks, meet heavy on chin; slight fair moustache. D/ essod in a suit oi gray tweed j black felt hat. Speaks with a Scotch accent, acd is a native of Glasgow. Has travelled a good deal in England. DESCRIPTION of James Reynolds, waited for stealiog £ t0 from his master oa 14th instant, anil absconding:— He is between 17 and 18 years of age, about - 5 feet 7 inches high, ruddy complexion, dark h& ir inclined to curl, light blue eyes, marks of boils on tide of reck; wore a black cloth jacket, low- crownei hat; speaks with a strong North of Ireland accent; was a page; is a native of Whitehall, Ballymena, county Antrim, where his parents are supposed to reside. Information to the Superintendent, Detective Department, Dublin, who holds a Warrant for his arrest. Superintendent's Office, May 15, 1877. DESCRIPTION of J. A. Condron, wanted for obtain- ing 80 gross of bottle corks from a manufacturer in th's city, on Rlst March last, by false pretences:— He is about 28 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 ioches high, florid complexion, rather good- looking, reddish hair, small red or sandy w iskers, chin shaved, bl le eyes, speaks quickly supposed dressed in a gray tweed suit; and round jerry hat He represented himself as a commission agent for the sale of bottled drink, and may have gone to Kilkenny or Bagnals- town. DESCRIPTION of Edward Higginson, native of Trammery, county Antrim, who stands charged w; th having, on the I st April, 1877, in the barony of Lower Iveagh, parish of Billsborough, failed to report, himself to the police at Hillsborough, he being a convict liberated from Portland prison, on licence on the 19th September, 1876:—- Mark of burn oil'back of head, hair off; blue eyes, cooked nose, fresh complexion, long face, medium make, 5 feet 2f inches high, about 33 years of aee, light brown hair; wore a low hat, dark coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Maurice Connell, native of New- townshandrum, district of Mallow, county Cork, E. R., who stands charged with haying, on the 6th May, 1877, at Ballysally, in the barony of Upper Connello, parish of Corcomohide, assaulted Patrick Danahy, placing his life in danger:— Walks erect, square shoulders; blue eyes, cocked nose, sallow com- plexion. stout active make, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark brown hair; is a dairy- man ; was some time in America.
