WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that, about the hour of 12 o'clock, on thd night of the 26th ultimo, a gunshot was fired into the dwelling- home cf George Rowe, esquire, of Boulart, Clara, in the King's county: His Grace, for the better apprehending and bringing to^ ustice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same. By His Grace's command, T. H. BURKE. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by J. H. L. Rogers, esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tullamore, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. Acton, esq., Bridgemount, as he drove by, returning from the fair of Balla:— Face not muscular, about 18 stone weight, seemingly a man not accustomed to hard labour, swarthy or much sun- burnt complexion, rounu jace, very full make 5 feet 8 inches high, 40 years of age, dark sandy hair, beard and moustache; brown frieze sack coat, dark tweed vest, whitish trowsers, and a soft hat, with high crown.
