O Division; DESCRIPTION of the under- mentioned, who is wanted for forging the names of Wright and Symms, stockbrokers, to a cheque for £ 140, and uttering same at the Royal Bank, Foster- place, Dublin, where1 he obtained said sum on the 27th Janna'y, and aosconded :—. Charles William Smith, about 40 yea- s old, but looks older, 5 feet 9 inches high, pale com- plexion, dark hair turning gray, wore all his beard; dreaied in ordinary dark clothes, is a na'iva of Bath, a discharged soldier, and suspected of haviog eloped with a female from Cardiff with whom he corresponded. DESCRIPTION of Henry Kane, native of Derryane, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd inst., at Derryane, in the barony of Onielland West, parish of Tartaraghan and county of Armagh, assaulted Thomas Smyth, aged 85 years, by striking him on the head with a stick, from ttie effects of which his life is in danger:— Blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age but looks younger, brown hair, short sandy whiskers; wore a low round hat, gray tweed coat, cord troweers, dark vest. DESCRIPTION of 2 men, supposed to be James Keogh, native of FreedufF, and John Lynch, native of Ballywillan, who stand charged with having, oa the 17th day of January, 1877, in barony of Clonmahon, parish of Drumlumman, along with another man, who has been arrested, waylaid and seriously assaulted Michael Hope :— 1. Supposed James Keogh— Gray eyes, regular rose, sallow complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, between 20 and 25 years of age, dark h% ir: wore a cap, dark tweed coat dark trowsers and vest is a Farmer's son. 2. Supposed John Lynch, sandy complexion medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high aaout 20 years of age, light coloured thin beard wora a old ronnd hat gray coat; is a farmer's son. DESCRIPTION " of Mary M'Inerney, native of Tulla, who stands charged with having, on the 8rd day of February, 1877, in the barony of Islands, escaped from Ennis Lunatic Asylum, where she had been committed as a dangerous lunatic, and unlawfully ^ taken with her several articles of clothing belonging to the institution .-— Blue eyes, straight nose, ruddy { complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 2 inehes high, about 24 years of age, browa hair; wore a dark gr » y shawl, gray Wincey gown, white flannel petticoat, branded " E. Denis Shea— Black spot under right eye, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, large mouth, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 44 years of age, black hair, shaves all his face; is a traveiling fish dealer. 9. Alice Shea— Sunken black eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, oval face, thin make, 4 feet 10 inches high, about 45 years of age, dark hair. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle:— Rather short neck, slightly round shoulders; Brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. DESCRIPTION of James cassidy, native of Kil- nashee, Drumlish, county Longford, who stands charged with having, on the 9th January, 1877, in the barony of Longford, parish of Killoe, seriously assaulted his stepfather, Michael O'Hara:— Blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 16 years of age : wore a gray frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, black cloth vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of 3 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the morning of tbe 3rd March, 1877, at Dernacartha, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilcolman, fired at and wounded James Downey and Martin Tomey, and fired into'dwelling- houses, and administered an illegal oath,' and demanded money, in company with other men unknown:— 1. Unknown— Pockpitted; fair complexion, long face, stout make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair, small fair whiskers; wore a seal- skin cap with ear flaps, corduroy jacket, and trowsers; apparently a labourer. 1 3. DESCRIPTION of Patrick M'Hale, alias Thomas Henelly, native of Cloontubrid, who stands charged with having, on the 24th February, 1877, at Turlough, in the barony of Carra, parish of Turlough, stoleo two asses, the property of Daniel M'Quaig, of Turlough, which he sold in the market of Castlebar I on the 34th instant, and which have been recovered:— Blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, broad face, medium mak£, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 16 or 17 years of sge> dark brown hair; wore a cloth cap, brown frieze coat, cord trowsers; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of a man, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 11th of August, 1876, at about half past 11 o'clock, A. M., in the barony of Carra, parish of Drum, at Loonamore, discharged three shots from a revolver from behind a rick of turi at George B. Acton, esq,, Bridgemount, as he drove by, retusping from the fair of Balla:— Face not muscular, about 13 stone weight, seemingly a man not accustomed to hard labour, swartby or much sun- burnt complexion, rouna race, very full make 5 feet 8 inches high, 40 years of age, dark sandy hair, beard and moustache; brown frieze sack coat, dark tweed vest, whitish trowsers, and a soft hat, with high crown. Bryan Lynch ( housebreaking) not arrested; Hne- and- Cry 8th February, 1876. monaghan DESCRIPTION of a gun, the property of Thomas Byrne, which was stolen from the lands of Drum- mond- Otra, parish of Magheross, and barony of Fainey, on the night of the 31st or morning of the 22nd February, 1877:— A double- barrel gun, with a small piece broken off stock near the trigger guard ; the maker's name is not known; the gun is value for about £ H. It was in a woollen cover, bound with r- sd, also stolen. One of the barrels was loaded when stolen. Three small drawer keys were also stolen. Carrickmacross, Feb. 22,1877. ( 13143 o.— 31677.) DESCRIPTION of Alexander Gibson, ( mother's sur- name Newell,) native of Glen, who stands charged with having, on the 38th day of January, 1877, in the barony of Dartree, parish of Ematris, stolen the Sam of £ 19 from his father's house :— Sear at corner of eye, good- looking and well set up, slightly freckled, speaks with a slight lisp ; gray eyes, regular. ? o « e, fair and florid complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 31 years of age. sandy hair; wore a black jerry hat, fine blue cloth top coat, diark tweed suit, elastic boots. He is believed to have gone to Scotland in company with a girl ( a domestic servant) named Fanny Smith. The Rockcorry Constabulary hold a Warrant for his arrest. DESCRIPTION of Mary M'Kenna, native of Listra- hegney, who stands charged with having, on the 19th day of December, 1876, in the barony of Monaghan, parish of Tullycorbett, left the service of Mr, Wallace, of Braddocks, and it is feared that the has met with foul play:— Brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, round face, medium make, 5 feet high, about 19 years of age; wort a white hat, . with black and white ribbon, red woollen shawl, ' black dress, blue skirt, elastic boots; is a servant. The special attention of the Constabulary is directed to the following: DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, ( mother's surname Quigley,) nativeof Knockgranagh, who s tan rig charged with having, on the 39th November, ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Aehonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large stone:— Doum looking appearance, two upper frenl teeth large and prominent, high cheek bones, large heavy lip*, sunken jaws, very broad shoulder*; glaring black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow complexion, oval face, stout make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 37 or 38 years of age, black hair, small dark moustache; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest. Was in America, and lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. Has a pair of English- made navvy boots, with iron plates under toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots. ( 11335 30394 ) DESCRIPTION of Felix Kearns, native of cliffoney, and Patrick Waters, native of Newtown Cliffoney, who stand charged with having, on the 3rd Decem- ber, 1876, in the barony of Carbury, parish of Ahamlish, committed a criminal assault on Bessie Gilmartin:— 1. Felix Kearns— Pimples on face, dilieate appear- ance, large mouth slightly turned; gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, round face, alight make, 5 feet 6£ inches high, about 19 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest; is an assistant teacher in National School. 3. DESCRIPTION of William James Devlin, satire of Coolreagh, near Cookstown, who stands charged with having, on the 33nd January, 1877, in the barony of Upper Dungannon, parish of Derryloran, absconded from Cookstown, taking with him upwards of £ 20 sterling of his property, which ought, by law, to be divided amongst his creditors, he having been adjudicated a bankrupt on the 25th January, 1877 :— Straight^ active appearance, broad square shoulders; rather good- looking; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 88 years of age, light brown hair cut very short, large light brown whiskers; wore a tweed ceat, trowsers, and vest.
