A Sheriff's warrant lies at t i > < ffice for his apprehension, Robert Matthew, farmer' and cattle dealer, New- hills Aberdeenshire, 35 to 40 years of age, 5 feet 8 ir ches high or thereby, grayish blue eyes, dusk hair, Taway coloured face, thickish lips; has thinnish whiskers, beard, and moustache, of a slightly fairish colour, inclining to sandy; his laft hand is disfigured and stiffened from a stroke on the back, he generally wears a glove or bandage on it, and keeps it in his pocket; he invariably wears a dark tweed suit and black felt hat. As this man is suspected to be trying to get out of the country, the Police at shipping ports are r questod to be particularly on tho alert for Mm. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle:— Rather short neck, slightly round shoulders; Brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, abont 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark e cord trowacrs, light vest. DESCRIPTION of 9 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 80th March, 1876, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Mitchelstown, been two of a party who fired at and wounded Patten Bridge, esq., and Constable Mathew Nugent, and shot John Hyland dead at same time and place:— 1. Unknown— Fair complexion, stout make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 86 years of age, sandy whiskers nearly meeting under the chin; wore a cloth frock coat; had his face blackened. 3. THE " attention of the Constabulary is called to the description, under Cork, in Hue- and- Cry of 23rd June, 1874, of ticket- of leave convict James Ryan, who, on the 6th inst, was. in this proclaimed district, arrested, having arms without a licence, and who it has since transpired, represented himself at farmers, houses as John Ryan, who fired at Mr. Bridge, and that Crowe who shot his driver, was his uncle. It is suspected that for tlie lift 2| years he was roaming about, obtaining his livelihood by these and other false pretences. DeSOBIPTION of an ass and car, the property of Patrick Hartigin, which were stolen from the lands of Shanemore, parish of Lismore, barony of Cosh- more and Coshbride on the 10th day of January, 1877:— The ass was a largeci- sized light gray gelding; he had a sore under left flank.
