DESCRIPTION of an ass, tbe property of Thomas Kelly, which was stolen from the lands of Powers- town, parish of Powerstown, barony of Gowran, on the night of the 36th November, 1876:— Ratber small sized mare ass, in foal, over 3 years old, never shod, dark gray colour; mark of a healed cut across the rump, about 8 inches long, the hair partly grown over it; value for about £ 5. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Murphy who stands charged with having, on the 8th day of November, 1876, in the borough of Kilkenny, parish of St. Mary's, unlawfully sold a bullock, the property of his master, James Dowling, of Ballyring, and absconded with the money received for said bullock, and also with a dark frieze coat belonging to James Dowling:— Fresh cut mark over left eye, slightly pock- marked ; regular nose, fresh complexion, fresh face, stout make, 6 feet 8 inches high, about 38 years of age, red whiskers and hair; wore a black frock coat, corduroy trowsers, double- breasted vest, and probably dark frieae great eoat; is a labourer. The person, name and native place unknown, ( highway robbery) not arrested; Hue- and- Ory, 4th February, 1876. king's DESCRIPTION of a man, name unknown, who stands charged with havipg, on tbe 17th instant, at Tullamore, barony of Ballycowan, parish of Kilbride, feloniously stolen an overcoat and rug, which be pawned at Tullamore same evening:— About 4f> years of age, 6 feet 7 inches high, red round full face, rather stout make; wore a long brown coat, cord trowsers, low felt hat, and red woollen muffler. This man travels from fair to fair as a pig jobber or drover, and may now be met with at some of tbe fairs in Roscommon, Galway, or Westmeath. He is of intemperate habits. Tullamore, Nov. 22, 1876. Leitrim, DESCRIPTION of John O'Beirne, a native of tbe county Wicklow, who stands charged with having, in the month of July last, absconded with a watcb, value £ 4, the property of Mr. James Spotten, which be got to repair:— Round shoulders, brown eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 6 feet 10 inches in height, and 30 years of age; wore a black coat, vest, and trowsers; rather respectable appearance; is a watchmaker, and worked in Dublin, and may be found there. DESCRIPTION of Mary Conlon, native of Balloran, who stands charged with having, on the 31st November, 1876, in the barony of Louth, parish of Louth, violently assaulted Mary Corchoran, by striking her with a stone on the back, which has caused her life to be in danger:— Is pockpitted; small gray eyes, reddish complexion, full round face, very stout make, 6 feet high, 86 years of age, reddish hair; wore a bonnet, yellow and black Paisley shawl, yellow dress with a deep flounce, boots either laced or elastic sides. M., in the barony of Carra, parish of Drum, at Loonamore, discharged three shots from a revolver from behind a rick of turf at George R. Acton, esq., Bridgemount, as he drove by, returning from the fair of Balla:— Face not muscular, about 18 stone weight, seemingly a man not accustomed to hard labour, swarthy or much sun- burnt complexion, round face, very full make 6 feet 8 inches high, 40 years of age, dark sandy hair, beard and moustache; brown frieze sack coat, dark tweed vest, whitish trowsers, and a soft hat, with high crown. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt ( mother's surname Quigley), native of Knockgranagh, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 29th ult., in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large stone :— Down- looking apptarance, large front teeth, high cheek pones glaring black eyes; cocked nose, sallow com- plexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 37 or 28 years of age, dark hair, small dark moustache, no beard or whiskers t wore a cai with flaps, dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest; lately re urjaed from America; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Patrick M'Grath, native of Cool- namonia, who stands charged on suspicion with . having, on the 5th of November, 1876, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Upper, parish of Moyaliff, seriously assaulted Jeremiah Lowery, thereby causing his death on 26th of November, 1876 :— Slightly in- kneed ; shaves all his face ; brown eyes, regular nose, dark fresh complexion, full face, stout make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 26 years of age, dark hair; wore a jerry hat, brown cloth coat, tweed trowsers and vest; is a farmer's son. Tyrone, DESCRIPTION of Mary Jane M'Cullagh, native of Cross, Ballinascreen, who stands charged with having, on the 12th October, 1876, at Feegarron, in the barony of Upper Dungaonon, parish of Derryloran, deserted her illegitimate female child, nearly 3 months old:— Blue eyee, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, stout make, 4 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, light brown hair; wore a brown dress with dark flounces, gray^ shawl which she wore over her head. DESCRIPTION of the under- named young offender, who, on the 5th December, 1876, absconded from the St. Kevin's Reformatory School, at Glencree:— Patrick LWy, No. 1474, 11 years of age, about 4 feet 7 inches high, strong make, fresh freckled complexion, brown hair, gray eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, round visage; mark of scar on left eyebrow; formerly belonged to Coolnahorna.
