MUEBEE AND^ MALICIOUSLT WOU1BI1G, Absconded from Hardington, charged with the murder of Police Constable Cox, on the night of the 16th instant, at Netherton, Somerset: GEOEGE HUTCHINGS, about 55 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, dark hair, turning grey, sallow com- plexion, and thin face. GILES HUTCHINGS, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, black hair, whiskers, and moustache, sallow complexion, thin face, and downcast look. And PETER HUTCHINGS, about 26 years of age, 5 feet € inches high, rather stout, dark brown hair, sallow com- plexion, and marked with small pox, Giles and Peter, are sons of George, Hutchings, and all are natives of Hardington, near Yeovil. A reward of J100 will be paid by Her Majesty's Government to any person ( other than a person employed in a Police Force in the United Kingdom) who will give such information and evidence as shall lead to the conviction of the murderer or murderers, and the Secretary of State, will advise the grant of Her Majesty's gracious pardon to any accomplice not being the person who actually committed the murder, as shall give such evidence as shall lead to a like result. Description of MICHAEL KELLY, a labourer, who absconded from Bolton on 13th instant, charged with stealing from the person £ 6 12s. in Money, and a silver Watch ( recovered). _ He is about 19 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, proportionate make, dark complexion, dark brown hair, no whiskers or moustache; dressed in an old black cloth shooting coat, moleskin trousers, red and white neckerchief ( tied in sailor's knot), black billycock hat, and clogs. He is accompanied by two young men of similar age, and shabbily dressed. Four persons are in custody on the same charge, who have been remanded till the 30 th inst. Between the 18th and 20th instant the dwelling- house of Mr. James Cope Cadman, of Furnace- road, Silverdale, was was broken and entered, and the following Bsink of England Notes stolen therefrom, viz. one jUO, No. 36157 one £ 10, No. 36158, issued September 21at, 1875, London Bank; one £ 5, o. 79543, issued January 14, 1875, Manchester Bank. £ 2 reward will be given on information being given leading to the recovery of the notes and the conviction of the offender or offenders. During the afternoon of 21st instant, the dwelliog- house of Elizabeth Upton, Coleshill, was broken into and stolen therefrom : one dark grey cloth Coat, with pockets on the hips, bone buttons, man's size ; one pair of dark grey cloth Trousers, flaps and bone buttons; one dark blue cloth Jacket, bound with braid, and has been mended on the right side ; one pair of dark grey cloth Tfousers, with bla^ k bone buttons, youth's size, all much worn ; aa old fashioned german silver Watch, plain back and bull's- eye glass. Supposed by tramps. The man's coa, t a, nd trousers have been found pledged in Birmingham, by a man about 25 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, pale complexion, slight dark moustache, no whiskers, bad the appearance of a labourer, and gave his name as CHARLES GOODMAN ; dressed in black jacket, coloured trousers and waistcoat, and hard billycock hat. Information to be given to Superintendent Simmons, Coles- hill, Warwickshire.— Bow- street, November 27. Stolen by means of house- breaking at Leybourne Grange, near Maidstone, between 8 and 9 p. m. on the 20th instant, the property of Lady Mostjn, entrance having been effected by placing a ladder against an upper window of the mansion : 1 diamond Locket, with ruby centre, heart shape, with crystal back, about 1 inch in depth, and J of an inch in width. I pearl Necklace for same, 107 pearls, small pearls. 1 pair of Ear- rings, star shape, ruby c- ntre, small, to match locket. 1 Brooch, with pendant of diamonds ( this completes the set). Stones very good, rubies m iocktt and ear- rings of a deep rich colour, scar of rose diamonds about the size of a balf- crowu. 1 gold Bracelet, with three large carbuncles and diamond centre 1 gold and black enamel Bracelet, opening with the portrait of a gentleman. 1 gold Bracelet, with purple enamel, the gold is perforated showing hair underneath,' In Memory of ' in purple enamel letters, hair under glass at back. 1 Locket, inch in length, by of an inch of amethysts and pearls alternately, in a circle round the edge, a coronet at the top through which the chain passes, the letter ' A.' of amethysts in the centre inside, portrait of a gentleman and lady with inscription round, coronet set with small pearls. 1 pair of circular gold and purple enamel Ear- rings. 1 diamond Ring of three large stones, centre stone round, the two side ones long shaped. About £ 7 in Money. ,£ 100 reward will be given to any person who shall give such information as will lead,. to the conviction of the offender MORS ® AlfB OATTXiB STEAUVCK WILLIAM EVANS, charged on a warrant with steal- ing a Donkey from Llanfyllin ( advertised in the Police Gazette of the 11th August last), is still at large. His mother, who is a widow, lives in Crewe, and he has relatives living in Buckley. Flintshire. He will likely seek work on coal banks or brick yards. Stolen on the 14th instant, from a marsh in the Becton- road, West Ham, six black Welsh Bullocks, ' M.' on rumps, tails cut. and in good condition.— Metropolitan Police, K Di- vision, November 29. Stolen from a field on Nantwich- road, Crewe, during the night of the 27th instant, a black Cob, about 10 years old, about 14 hands high, has some white hairs on the forehead, a white mark on the back, thick mane, and long tail. Stolen on the 22nd instant, from a stable at 21, Clifden- road, Lower Clapton, Hackney : a bay Mare, 15 hands 2 ins. high, star on forehead, hind legs white, and off knee slightly chipped.— Metropolitan Police, N Division, November 27. Stolen from a field at Soundwell, in the pariah of Stapleton, between tbe 30th ultimo and the 3rd instant: a black horse Pony, rising 2 years old, 13 hands high, white hind fetlocks, long mane and tail. Stolen frftsi a field in the New- road, Kidderminster, on tbfe night cf the 20th instant: a brown rough- coated mare Pony, hind fetlocks white, 6 years old, and about 12 bands high. Supposed to have been stolen on the 19th iastant, from a field at Wild Hatch, Hendon : an aged black Mare, 15^ hands high, deep body, white star on forehead, near hind fetlock white, switch tail, lump on near sid" behind the shoulder and inside near hind fetlock, the mane lies on near side, and is in good condition .— Metropolitan Police, S Division, November 27. Stolen from a field at Brislington, on the 16th instant: two 4- year old meaty Steers, one roan, and the other red and white colour, the property of Mr. William Vowles, of Bris- lington. £ 5 reward will be paid on conviction of the offender or offenders, and recovery of the steers. Stolen from Eastwood, on the night of tbe 7th instant, a dappled brown cait Horse, 5 years old, about 16| hands high, black legs, white star on forehead, has a rough place on both hocks, a small scar under the rcaue, about 3 oi 4 inches from the ear, and in good condition. £ 5 reward will be given for the recovery of the horse, and conviction of the offender or offenders. Stolen from a field at Keresley, near Coventry, on the morning of the 20th instant : a blue roan Colt, 2 years old 14£ hands high, and black feet; and a black Pony, 3 years old, 12 hands higb, bang tail, and grey mixed hair on hips. Also stolen, from a field at Picbford Brook, near Allesley : a dark brown half- bred Fiily, rising 4 years old, 15 hands 3 inches high,[ blat. k points, long mane ' and tail, and in good condition ; and a very dark brown Filly, well bred, rising 3 years old, 15 hands 1 inch high, long mane and tail, white spot inside hind fetlocks, and in good condition. Absconded from Margate on 21st ultimo, stealing a silver Watch, no glass, one hand broken, black mark on back of cases, engraved on cases ' M. Barnett, Market- place' ; about 23 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, pale complexion, light brown hair, slight moustache, thin figure ; dressed in dark blue cutaway coat and vest, dark speckled trousers, black tie with purple stripes, low shoes, scarlSt and grey striped socks, yellow dogskin gloves, black stitching up backs ; he carries a light stick, and wears a ring on little finger. States he comes from Harborne, Warwickshire. He is charged with similar offences at Ramsgate, Canterbury, and Dover. Absconded from Henley- in- Arden, on the 4th instant, charged with stealing a silver Watch : J. LLOYD, a watch- maker, 27 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion, black hair ; dressed in black overcoat, trousers, and vest, black hard billy hat, and a pair of clogs. Information to be given to Inspector Warren, Henley- in- Arden, Warwickshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bm- Ureet, November 29. Stolen on the 23rd instant, from 228, Strand : a dark rough Overcoat, a black walking Coat, with pockets on the hips, a black dress Coat, with velvet collar, and a pair of grey tweed Trousers and Vest. Stolen on the 22nd instant, from No. 36, Connaught- square, Hyde- park : a gold Bracelet, set with a large emerald in eehtre and two diamonds ; a large diamond composite Brooch and Locket, three pendant?, a small Neck Chain attached, in a dark morocco Case ; five gold Rings, one half loop ( set With five diamonds), one with three emeralds, one with four opals, one black enamel mourning ( small diamond in centre), and one grey enamel ( five pearls with diamond in centre shape of a forget- me- not); a plain silver Cruet Stand ; six Forks and seven Table Spoons, plain silver, with crest— a [' griffin rampant aud a star ; one ditto, embossed handle, crest— a bent arm and hand holding a rod ; a japanned tin Caddy Box, £ 17 10s., a bunch of patent Keys, and sundry Documents and Memoranda. By a man 21 years of age, 5 feet high, complexion, hair, and small moustache dark ; dressed in a black cloth overcoat, grey under coat, black vest, grey mixture trousers, daik red tie, round felt hat, and side- spring boots; a painter.— Metropolitan Police, D Division, November 29. Absconded, charged with stealing seventeen Fowls, at Reading, on the night of the 14th instant: FRANK BOND, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, rather long features, and whiskers shaved off; dressed in old dark top coat, dirty fustian trousers, and round hard felt hat; he is a smith, but has not followed his trade recently, and has a very slouching gait. Information to be given to Chief Superin- tendent Purchase, Borough Police Station, Reading, Berks, • who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- st., Nov. 29. Description of a woman, charged with stealing ab » > ut 14 cwt. of Rags : she is about 50 years of age, low set, slender made, round shouldered and stoops, light brown hair, and fresh complexion ; dressed in a brown spotted wincey dress, faded paisley shawl, and elastic- side boots. She may seek employment as a rag sorter at some rag dealer's establish- ment. 10s. reward will be paid for her apprehension and conviction. Absconded from Llantrissant, on the 4th instant, charged • with stealing a jeweller's Box, covered with brown oil cloth, and a small strap attached ; a lady's gold lever Watch, with winding chain broken ; a silver lever Watch, with cream- coloured dial, arid a piece broken out of it; two silver verge hunting Watches ; a silver Geneva Watch ; and a large quantity of common jewellery, such as ladies lockets, brooches, watch keys, & c.: SAMUEL WELLER, a barber, a native a Birmingham or Manchester, 37 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, fresh complexion, shaves clean except mous- tache, which he keeps very long, dark bair, inclined to curl, bald on top of head, long features, and stoops ; dressed in an old brown cloth overcoat, old dark grey trousers, and old black soft billycock hat, with wide brisa, and turned up at the sides; he is well known in Edward- street, Birmingham, and at Mop- side, Manchester; he said he should go to Bristol or Liverpool, information to be given to Superintendent Matthews, Pontypridd, Glamorganshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, Novimber 29. Stolen from a lodging- house in Stafford, on the 19th instant: £ 1 18s. in Silver, the property of James Fleming. By a man, about 40 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, with whiskers and moustache, and has lost an eye ; dressed, iu moleskin vest, with sleeves, moleskin trousers, and cap, with peak. He said he was a forgeman. Information to be given to Inspector Grattidge, Guildhall, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, November 27. Absconded from Emneth about the 15th ultimo, charged • with stealing a Fork ( recovered) : ROBERT COURTMAN, a labourer, 52 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, fresh com- plexion, smooth face, and~ light hair turning grey ; dressed in cap, drabbed slop, and fustian trousers, all very dirty. Ha has a relative living at or near Spalding, Lincolnshire. Information to be given to Sergeant Loekeit, Walsoken, or to Police Constable Aves, Emneth, Wisbech, Cambridge- shire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension. — Bow- street, November 27. Stolen from the White Hart Hotel, Margate, on the night of the 23rd instant: a brown leather feat Box, brass clasp, containing £ 11 10s. in Gold ; a £ 5 Bank of England Note ; a gold scarf Pin, pearl in centre, four small diamonds round; three ditto Studs to match, in leather cases ; a crystal and silver Cambridge University Medal, ' W. M, Stewart' engraved on rim ; and a quantity of Letters. Information to be given to Head Constable Romanis, Town Hall, Mar- gate, Kent.— Bow- street, November 27. Description of THOMAS WARD, alias OLD TOM, Irishman, and a tramping navvy, charged on a warrant with larceny : about 50 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh complexion, large red sore ej es, large nose, hair turning grey; dressed in old cloth cap, without peak, an old cloth monkey jacket, eld dirty fustian trousers, strong navvy boots, much worn. He had a fresh cut between the two forefingers of left hand, and likely to have swine bandage on the same, also a fresh cut on one of his wrists. Information to be given to Superintendent Hughes, Towyn, or to Sergeant Jones, Fourcrosses, Festiniog, Merionethshire.— Bow- street, November 24. Absconded on 1st instant, from 2, Westbourne- place, Pimlico, embezzling £ 43 : a man, 31 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, fair complexion, hair and moustache ( slight) fair; eres3, dark clothes; of respectable appearance, a clerk, is well known in the fish trade and at Billingsgate Market. — Metropolitan Police, B Division, November 24. Description of JOHN BOTT, charged with rape at Leek, on the 7th October last : he is about 23 years of age,- 5 feet 6 inches high, light complexion, light hair, no whiskers and slight moustache ; dressed in corduroy trousers and vest-, black cloth coat, and black billycock hat. a silk twister by trade. Information to be given to Superintendent williams, Leek, Staffordshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension. — Bou- s& reet, December 1. Charged with scuttling the French lugger ' Mater Dei,' off the Fifeshire coast, on or about the 18th October last: JEAN BAPTISTE WADOUX, belonging to Gravelines, about 35 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, and dark hair; dressed when last seen in a fur cap, blue guernsey shirt, and sea boots. He is believed to be about the East Coast of England, and will try to make his escape by some French vessel. Information to be given to Chief Constale Bremner, Cupar, Fifeshire, who holds a sheriff's warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, December I. Charged on a warraut with felony : THOMAS ALEX- ANDER BARKER, late of No. 9, Chantry- road, Brixton, 46 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, daik eyes, hair, whiskers, and moustache, shaved chin, sallow complexion, thin face, slight buiid, and is very nervous; dressed in shabby dark clothes. Information to be given at the Detective Depart- ment, No. 26, Old Jewry, E. C.— Bow- street, November 29. One of them has the private mark ' J. R.' and seven small strokes inside the case, and the other ' R. L. D.' five small strokes and figure 8 scratched inside the case. He is about 34 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, stout made, black curly hair, parted in centre, negro features, brown eyes, pockpitted ; walks with swinging gait; well dressed in dark tweed suit, an overcoat, and has on at times a soft felt hat, and at other times a round sealskin cap.
