ENGLISH POLICE. DESCRIPION of a man who gave the name of Wallace, a journeyman barber or hairdresser, who is wanted, under Warrant, at this office, on a charge of stealing a bycicle, a razor stone, a pair of scissors, a sponge and a pawn ticket, the property of Charles Taylor, hairdresser, Standishgate:— He is about 80 years of age, 6 feet 6 inches in height, one eye rather smaller than the other, light hair and complexion, no whiskers, dark brown moustache, has a swaggering gait; dressed when last seen in an old black cloth coat, dark trowsers and soft black billycock hat, old elastic- side boots; he speaks with an American accent, but it is supposed that he is an Irishman. He was last seen in Stanningley, Leeds, on the 10th of November, 1876, where he disposed of the stolen pawn ticket to Mr. W. H. Garnett, hair dresser, Stanningley, Leeds; be then stated that he was going to Benjamin Gills, hairdresser, Covered Market, Leeds. Wallace ( the man wanted) is no doubt tramping the country and will seek work at his trade. Information to Mr. George Williams, Chief Constable, Wigan, Lancashire. DESCRIPTION of Robert Grace, charged with emblezzlement:— 5 feet 8 inches in height, dark brown hair cut short, gray eyes, fresh complexion, no whiskers or moustache, stout built, a little bow- legged; dressed when last seen in a dark bottle- green shooting coat, dark striped vest, black and white broken! plaid trowsers, black billycock hat, and low- down shoes; wears black cloth suit and tall hat on Sunday. He has been previously con. victed and served 6 years in a Reformatory School; will most likely seek employment as a carter. He has been courting Eliza, daughter of Mrs. Wilving, Winter- street, ofi the Branch, Blackburn. He is well known to Mr. Roxborough, Beaumaris- street, Derby- road, Kirkdale, near Liverpool. He is also well known to Mr. William Barnes, of J, Bridge- street, Derby- road, Bootle, near Liverpool. Information to be given to Chief Constable Williams, Police] Office, Wigan, who holds a Warrant for his apprehension. DESCRIPTION of John Marsden Caldwell, charged with embezzlement:— 6 feet 7 inches in height, fresh complexion, light sandy hair, moustacae, whiskers down side of face, shabby genteel appear- ance. He has been previously convicted at Notting- ham, for embezzlement. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle:— Rather ihort neck, slightly round shoulders; Brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled complexion, long face, stout make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. DESCRIPTION of 3 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the SOth March, 1876, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Mitchelstown, been two of a party who fired at and wounded Patten Bridge, esq., and Constable Mathew Nugent, and shot John Hyland dead at same time and place:— 1. Unknown— Fair complexion, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 85 years of age, sandy whiskers nearly meeting under the chin; wore a cloth frock coat; had his face blackened. 3. DESCRIPTION of Mary Jane M'Cullagh, native aif Cross, Ballinascreen, who stands charged with having, on the 12th October, 1876, at Feegarron, in the barony of Upper Dungannon, parish of Derryloran, ' eserted her Illegitimate female child, nearly 3 months oldBlue eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, stout make, 4 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, light brown hair; worei a brown dress with dark flounces, gray shawl which she wore over her head. This Woman gave birth to a child in the house of Sarah A. Hagan, Killycolps, on tbe 81$ t July, when she stated hpy name, & e., was as above given. A Warrant for tier arrest has been issued. NOVE3HBEE 21, 1876. Fore, parish of Rathgarve, maliciously set fire to nd burned 4 cocks of hay, and who may have " committed crimes elsewhere:— 1. Patrick Wal « h— Pearl on left eye ; gray eves, oidinary nose, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet inches higb, about SO years of age, dark curly hair i wore a low round black hat, dark tweed coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest; is well educated, states that he served in the 5th Fusiliers and 11th Foot, and was a reporter in London for ' " Reynolds's Newspaper;" tattooed on both arms; is a tramp. 2. Michael Giblin— Blue eyes, ordinary nose, very sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a brown coloured cloth cap with cloth peak, a white coloured cloth coat, dark tweed trowsers, tweed vest; wants about halt his teeth, the remainder very bad; stated he was convicted in Castlebar, county Mayo, in January last, but d clinei to say fur what offence; served in Military Train; is a tramp. DESCRIPTION of en ass, the property of Anastatia Sinnott, which was stolen from the lands of Barnahask, parish of Saint Margaret, barony of fhelmaliere East, on the 8th dav of November, 876:— A mare ass, heavy in foal, light gray colour, head lighter colour than the body, not shod, hoola turned in, mono and tail cut short; is value for about £ 2 10*.
