All of the Commercial Bank of Scot- land. One of the large Notes is torn in the centre of the folds. Three men of the following description aie suspected : one about 30 years of age, 5 feet 0 ' or 7 inches high, fair com plexion, thin fair whiskers aud moustache, sharp features, and slender figure. Another is about 34 years of age. about 5 feet 10 inches higb, fair complexion, slightly pockpitted, small fair whiskers and moustache, ana ordinary figure. Aud the other is about 38 years of age. 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, swarthy complexion, thin dark whiskers and moustache, and stout figure. They spoke with the English accent, and were dressed in dark clothes and dark felt bats. Two of them carried light glazed waterproofs. £ 100 reward will be paid to any person who w- ll give such information as shall lead to the recovery of the property and conviction of the offender or offenders. Stolen from the person on Newmarket Heath, on the 25t, h ultimo : a scarf Pin, set with opal stone, pear shape, surrounded with small diamonds, had a Chain and small Pin attached. Stolen from the psrson in Brighton,, on the evening of the 6th instant: A gold English lever Watch, maker Lewis, Brighton, has an inscription inside the case, ' Presented to E. Spary, for his services to the Horticultural Society, from 1853 to 1863' and monogram on back. A gold open- face Geneva Watch, engine- turned back, a brown cloth Coat, with pockets on hips and left breast, lined with alpaca; a grey cloth Coat, with grey lining, pockets on hips and left breast; a pair of large plaid cloth Trousers, and double breasted Vest ; three pairs of grey knitted Stockings ; two fancy regatta Sbirts, one a striped, and the other a plaid ; a pair of lace- up Boots, brass eyelets, two rows of round headed nails round the soles, and a few short rows in the centre, also a patch under the outside of left boot, fastened on with tin tacks ; two gold wedding Rings, one broken ; a small Penknife ; a Blanket ; a white flannel Shirr,; four black- hafted Knives aud Forks ; four white- hafted Knives and Forks; and a guano Bag. By a man, 35 to 40 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, small light whiskers ; dressed in a dark billycock hat, and cotton cord trousers. A grey coit with imitation pockets on hips, a pair of blucher boots, and a small prayer book, with a white back and a brass cross on one side, were left behind. Infor- mation to be given to Superintendent Wilson, Tattenhall, or to Sergeant Bethell, Malpas, Cheshire.— Brno- street, Nov. 6. who shall give such information and evidence as shall lead to the conviction of the murderer or murderers, and the Secretary of State for the Home Department, will advise the . grant of H r Majesty's gracious pardon to any accomplice, not being the person . who actually committed the murder, who shall give such evidence as shall lead to a like result. AIB aoiora Stolen by means of house- breaking, during the night of the 7th instant, at Goosnargh Hospital : a pair of small- sized men's lace- up Boots, about ten plain punched holes on each j side, part worn ; a pair of men's elastic- side Boots, small ARSON AND WILFUL BURNING, ' size, part worn; two white calico Shirts, marked ' W.' on hind lap ; and a common Umbrella, large size, large handle Between 11 p. m. on the 2nd and 1 a. m. on the 3rd inst., two small Stacks of Hay were discovered to be on fire on the premises of William Hyde and Alfred Hill, at Dukinfield, both of which were partially destroyed, and are supposed to have been wilfully set on fire. Information to be given to Deputy Chief Constable Arrowsmith, or to Inspector Cooper, Constabulary Station, Dukinfield, Cheshire.— Bow- street, No- vember 6. FORGERY. Description of GEORGE WINFORD PERCY, lately a Clerk in tha Bristol Docks Office, who absconded ou the 26th ultimo, charged on a warrant with forging and uttering a Cheque on the 3lst August last: about 24 yeara of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 iuches high, slight build, small dark whiskers and moustache, sallow complexion, and careworn appearance ; dressed respectably. £ 20 reward will be paid by the Bristol Docks Committee to any person giving such iuformation as shall lead to his apprehension. Iuformation to be given to Inspector Riordan, Bridewell- street Police Station, Bristol, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, No- vember 3. of light wood, and tbe upper spring broken off. Also stolen from the residence of the . Rev. Robert Grad- well, and the Catholic Chapel, at Claughton, which were broken and entered during the night of the 8th iustant: a standing Pix; silver gilt, about 8 inches higb, and 4 inches wide, consisting of a round silver Box on a foot, and con- taining an inside glass, round Box with silver gilt border, and set with small crystals, an inscription on the back in Latin ' Given by the very Revd. Cannon Henry Gradwell ( supposed) 1852, and by the Revd. Robert Gradwell ( sup- posed) 18S0;' a brass gilt Plate from door of Tabernacle, about 15 inches by 10 inches, with a lamb enamelled in centre, and form enamels of wheat sheaves iu panels, and bordered with raised work, representing vine leaves aiid tendrils ; £ 75 10s. iu Gold and £ 5 in S. lver ; two Medals of Pius IX, one gold, the ether silver, the obserse of the medals ' The Lord washing the feet of the Disciples ;' leather Top of an Oil- case, triangular form; a large plum- coloured merino Muffler; and a sample bottle of pale red Hollands, marked ' Geo. Description of JOHN ADAMS, charged on a warrant with stealing a silver verge Watch, No. 4252, the property of William Ness, at Hull, on the 4th instant : he is 31 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout built, black hair, slight moustache, tuft on chin, scar on cheek and forehead ; belongs to Birmingham, and waa employed there iu a brewery. Iu- formation to be given to Chief Constable Cook, Hull, York- shire.— Bow- street, November 10. Stolen from the person in Brighton, on 31st ultimo : A gold Geneva Watcb, No. 33403, ' A. W.' marked on • outside case in Old English, and has a flat crystal glass. A single case silver Watch, No. 7498, gilt hands, engine- turned case. Also from the person on'the evening of the 6th instant : A brown leather Purse, containing a Sovereign, some postage Stamps, a diamond Ring, set with one stone, and a gold Ring, set with a black stone. Stolen from the perron on the platform at Kilwinning Railway Station, in the county of Ayr, between 5 and 6 p. m. cn the 6th instant: a common green leather Pocket Book,, containing two £ 100 Notes, eighteen £- 20 Notes, one £ 5 Stolen, supposed by tramps, by means of housebreaking, between II ' 45 a m. and 1 p. m. on the 6th instant, from the cottage of William Fuller, of Pangbourne, a dark cloth Coat, pockets on hips ; a pair ol dark plaid Trousers and Waistcoat a pair of light cord Trousers, aud au old yello v flannel under Shirt Iuformation to be given to Inspector Pocock, Berks Constabulary, Reading.— Boui- tlreet, November 10. During the night of the 3rd instant, the residence of tbe Rev. G. Taylor, of Sunningdale, Surrey, was broken into, and stolen therein : a silver Inkstand, with inscription thereon, ' Presented to the Rev. G. Taylor, by the inhabitants of Wraysbury, 1860.' By two men, one from 45 to 50 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, well built, brown hair, a few whisker, shaven chin, and sallow complexion ; dressed in a, long brown overcoat, and black felt hat. The other about 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, full black whiskers aud moustache, shaven chin, stout built ; dressed in dark overcoat, one sleeve torn, dark trousers, oue leg torn on the inside, black felt hat, and light- coloured wrapper. They had with tbem a light bay Pony, 13 or 14 hands high, white face, in good condition, wearing a rush eollur, a very light built market cart, nearly new, low foot- board, with lamps attached, very narrow tire, supposed to be painted green. These men had the appearance of horse copers. Information toihe given to Superintendent Bungard, Surrey Constabulary, Chertsey. — Boa- street, November 8. Stolen between 2 and 6 p. m. on the 3ml instant, by meass of housebreaking: a black cloth Coat, lined with glazed calico, pockets on hips and old- fashioned tight sleeves; STEALING Stolen between 1 and 2 p. m. ou the 7th instaut, from a meadow in Days- lane, Bexley : a bay Gelding, 6 years old, 15 hands 2 inches high, blistered inside fore legs, no shoes, and in good condition. By a mau, 25 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark complexion and hair, no whiskers ; dressed in loug dark overcoat, grey mixture tight- fitting trousers, black felt hat ; he bat the appearance of a horse coper. — Metropolitan Police, R Division, November 10. Defcription of a man charged with stealing a Horse> recovered, at Cannock Chase, on the 9th instant; he called himself JOSEPH, and has been for three weeks in the employ of John Bonell, of Gentleshaw, builder, as carter, 23 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout, dark face, high cheek boi. es, whiskers of about 3 weeks growth, aud dirty looking^' dressed in black hard hat, dark short shabby jacket, watertight boots with open fronts and toe- caps ; he is supposed to belong to Sutton, near Birmingham. Informa- tion to be givea fo Superintendent Hill. Brownhills, near Walsall, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, November 10. Stolen from a field at Bridgetown, Berry Pomeroy, on the 22nd or 23rd ultimo : a dark bay Horse, about 15 hands higb, scratched iu both knees, ard a dent in the near hind hoof, it puts its tongue out of his mouth when riding or driving it, when the reins are drawn a little tight. Infor mation to be given to Superintendent Clark, Borough Police, Totnes, Devonshire— Bow- street, November 10. Deescription of WILLIAM CURTIS, of Selby. land surveyor, charged with stealing on the 16th ultimo, a Horse, Saddle, and Bridle ( recovered), the property of G. W. Dowson, farmer, Crowle : he is 24 years of age, 5 feet 5 ins. high, stout built, fair complexion, light hair, small whiskers ( recently shaved off) ; dressed in pepper- and- salt or black cloth suit, black stiff' felt hat, and leather leggings. He was last seen in Hull on the 30th ultimo, and frequents public and betting- bouses. Information to be given to Inspector Crawford, Epworth, Lincolnshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, November 8. Supposed stolen from a field ou Maple Farm, Baguley, during tne night of the 31st ultimo : tsvo chesnut Horses, one fired on both hocks, aged, white face, and marked knees, the other blistered on both forelegs, rising. 5 years old, 15 hands 2 inches high, a dark chesnut gelding. £ 10 reward will be given for such information a3 will lead to the con- viction of the offender or offenders and recovery of the horses. Information to be given to Superintendent Aston, Altrincham, Cheshire.— Bow- street-, November. 8. Description of ALBERT LEE, a gipsy, who is charged with stealing a Pony ( recovered), tbe property of James Perkins, from a field at Yardley on the l7th ultimo : about 30 yeara ot" age, 5 feet 5 inches high, fresh complexion, slightly marked with smallpox, light browu hair, and very small whiskers; dressed in a dark plaid sleeved waistcoat, and bedford cord trousers. He travels with a van and attends horse fairs, & c. ; is well known at Wolverhampton and neighbourhood. Information to be given to Superinten- dent Gallaway, Aston Park, Birmingham, or to Sergeant Webb, A cocks- green, near [ Birmingham, Warwickshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, Nov. 8. Stolen between 5.30 and 6 p m. on the 3rd instant, front Battersea Rise : a black cob Pony, 13 hands higb, aged, and chipped knees ; a dark Spring Curt, shafts painted slate- colour, wheels chocolate, one spoke in off wheel loose, ' J. Stonehewer' on one side ; and a Set of Brass Mounted Harness.— Met* opollitan Police,, Y Division, November 8. Stolen on the night of the~ 31st ultimo, from a stable at North Minima, Herts : a light bay Horse, about 15 hands high, a white mark down the face, on the back, and on the off hind leg. Alao stolen, on the same night, from a cart shed at North Mimms : a dark green Cart, with daik green cushions ; and a set of Harness, brass- mounted, the bridle is marked ' R. November G. Stolen from a stable at Lawley Bank during the night ® f the 3rd instant: a dark brown Mare, aged, with white star on forehead, blaek legs, about 15 hands high, and in low condition. Also a Saddle and Bridle ; the property of J ames Done, innkeeper, Lawley Bank. Information to be given to Chief Superintendent Ivins, Wellington, Salop.— Bow- street, November 6. Stolen between 4 p. m. on lat, and 8 a. m., on 2nd inetant, from the dwelling- house of Elijah Colclough, Bull- lane, Talk- o'- th'- Hill, : a light grey tweed Jacket, two pockets outside, and two large pockets inside on hips, one inside of left breast, black bone buttons, black velvet collar, lined with blue aiicl red plaid ; a dark grey plaid Jacket, double- breasted, two pockets ouiside, ticket pucket on light, side, one inside left breast, black buttons, black velvet collar, lined with light grey wiusey ; a pair of dark striped Trousers, with a black stripe up sides ; a black and blue plaid Vest, single- breasted ; a woollen plaid Shirt ; a striped woollen do., grey, purple, and yellow snipes ; a Muffler, red border, light centre, soldier on horseback with name under it each corner, and £ 1 16a. in money. By a man who had lodged iu the house a fortnight, and gave the name of RICHARD GRIFFITHS, a collier, about 26 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, proportionate build, fair complexion, light hair, cut short, rather sauoy whiskers, and Small moustache; dressed in old grey jacket, dirty moleskin trousers, very much patched, old elastic- side boots, with buttons up sides, black cloth cap with tassel on top.- He said he came from Lancashire, and that he bad wkftd for 10 years at a colliery at Marsden. He also said | he was a native of Southampton. Information to be given to I Superintendent Baker, Police Station, Tunstall, or to Sergeant Macrory, Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, November 10. Sto'en from a dwelling- house in Malton, between 5 and 6 am. <> n the 7th instant: a tight fitting" single- breasted " brown cloth Top- coat, partly worn, torn at wrist of left sleeve, faded brown velvet collar, daik cloth buttons, two pockets in laps behind, and one inside left breast; also a pair of half watertight land Boots, brass eyelet= holes, heel plates, marks on sides of upptrs caused by leggings, aud about half worn. By a maa who lodged at the house a few nights, 21 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion, eyes, and hair, no whiskers, slight dark moustache, red burn mark on left side of face ; dressed in dark grey tweed coat aud trousers, supposed browu cloth vest, hard black felt hat, black and white cheek muffler, very large check, and stolen coat and boots ; has iu his in possession several pawn tickets, bearing the name ot David Kiddle ; stated that he was a sawyer, and a native of Aberdeen. Absconded from Edgmond, near Newport, Salop, charged with stealing a wooden Tobacco Pipe, the property of John Harper his master : JOHN THOMAS, a tailor, 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, very round features, short neck, la ' ge head, very red hair and whiskers, shaven off chin, and red moustache ; dressed iu a suit of dark brown plaid cloth, hard billycock hat, and low shoes ; he was traced to Market Drayton," Salop, where he drew his • travelling card. Infor- mation to be given to Chief Superintendent Ivins, Wellington, or to Sergeant Waterson, Newport, Salop, who holds the warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, November 8. Stolen about 7 a. m. on the 2ud instant, from a lodging- house at Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, the property of Thomas Miller : a pair of men's elastic- side, Boots, nearly new. By a Frenchman, who lodged iu the house one night, from 30 to 35 years of age, about 5 feet 2 inches high, small eyes, dark brown hair, whiskers, and moustache, speaks English badly, and is supposed to be an engine- fitter ; dressed iu blue pilot jicket, ( lark trousers and vest, dark blue cap, with straight, pei, k'aud a brass button on each side, and very old lace- up boots. Information to ba given to Inspector Fenner, Police Office, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.— Bow- ttreet, Novem- ber 8. Absconded, embezzling the sum of ,£ 23 from No. 31, Ash Grove, Hackney : a man 30 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion, bair, eyes, moustache, ana whiskers ( small) ; dressed iu dark blue overcoat, and high hat. He is a German shoemaker. — Metropolitan Police, N Division, November 8. Stolen from the fishing boat ' Prosperity,' lying in Whitby has hour since 3 pm. on the 3rd instant; the pro- perty of Ralph Cole and others : a pair of blue rough pilot clo-'. h Trousers; a blue pilot cloth Jacket, pockets in each side, blaak bone buttons, and velvet, collar, nearly new ; two " blue worsted Guernseys, one marked ' R. O.'; a pair of blue pilot eloth Trousers, nearly new; a rough blue pilot cloth Jacket, scarlet and black lining, patched, black boue buttons ; a blue worsted Guernsey, much worn ; and a seaman's white canvas Bag, nearly new. By ROBERT FOWLER, one of the crew, 36 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches higb, dark complexion, rtund full face, large dark eyes, no whiskers, stout built, bracelets tattooed oa wrists, mermaid on right arm, scar ou one ear. short sighted, has been a soldier, and has the letters ' D. D.' or ' B. C.' m one side ; dressed in a blue pilot jacket, blue guernsey underneath, giey or blue cloth trousers, and brown cloth cap with fur round it. Sap- posed to be a native of Lincolnshire; has been employe! at a coal pit near Hetton- le- Hole, Durham ; sL- o at cinder ovens near Sunderland, also at gasworks at Leeds and Bradford. Inform a ion to be given to Superintendent Ryder, North Riding Constabulary, Whitby, Yorkshire, who holds a war- runt for his apprehension.— Row- street, November 8. Absconded, charged with housebreaking at Walsoken on the 2nd instant, aud stealing a silver Watch ( recovered) : a tramp about, 30 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, sharp features, lump on bridge of nose, no whiskers, small mous- tache ; dressed in dark coat, very ragged trousers with a patch on right knee, and old shoes, one lacsd up with tarred twine. Information to be given to Superintendent Carter, Terrington St. Clement, Kings Lynn, Norfolk.— Bow- street, November 8. Description of JONATHAN SCHOFIELD, alias JONATHAN HAMER, alias ROBERT BOOTH, charged on a warrant with larceny, at Greenfield: he is about 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, fresh complexion, grey eyes, sandy hair, slight whiskers and moustache, well built, walks erect, cut ma. k over right eye, aud tattooed on left arm ; dressed in dark brown mixture cloth suit, close fitting cap with e& r- lapa on, lace- up boots, with eyelets and hooks; he is a miller, but has been acting as a groom, has been a soldier, and is fond of rough riding ; he is well known at Hollingworth Lake. Information to be given to Inspector Whincup, West Riding Constabulary, Dobcross, Saddle- worth.— Bow- ttreet, November 8. Description of JOHN ALKIN COLLISTER, late a collecting clerk in the service of the Great Western Railway Company, who absconded about tbe 28th ultimo, charged with embezzling £ i 10s. : 22 years of age, 5 feet 10 inc'he.- high. fair complexion, dark ejes and hair; dressed in dark rough cloth coat, dark trousers, and blaek billycock bat. He has friends oa one of the Railways in Ireland. Information to be given to Chief Superintendent Bond, Birmingham, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, Now. 8. Stolen on the night of the 4th instant, from the Great House Farm, Llanvetherine, the property of Mr. James Tucker and Richard Smith : a pair of woollen cord Breeches, nearly new; two pairs of black leather Leggings, one pair nearly new ; a silver Cup ( recoveied) ; a blue pilot cloth Overcoat, lined with red flannel, blue lining iu sleeves ; a dark tweed Jacket, srsd dark striped. Trousers and Vest; an old- fashioned open- face silver Watch, No. 123, a silver Chain attached ; and £ 2 10s. in Gold and Silver.
