Lichfield was broken and entered, and the following property stolen therein : a long rough dark grey clo^ h ulster Overcoat, with baud round middle pojket on one sleeve, small check cloth linings, pattern black aud white ; and about 4s. £ i reward will be given for the recovery of the property, and conviction of the offender or offenders. Stolen by moans of house- breaking at Llandinam, during 1 the night of the 21st instant : a silver plated Toast Rack, a Silt Spoon, a brass Candlestick, and 8 lbs. of uncooked Beef, the property of Mr. Williams, solicitor. Alto stolen during the same meht, from a hedge near Newtown, a plaid flannel Shirr, a small striped flannel Shirt, and a white flannel Under Shirt, all men's size ; the property of W. Worthington. Stolen from the dwelling- louse of James Cork, at All Hallows, Kent, on the 19th instant: an old fashioned silver Watch, figured face, No. 74891. Supposed by a lodger, about 21 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark complexion, and hair ; dressed in light trousers and vest, black monkey jacket, drab cap with peak, aud side- spring boots. During the night of the 17th instant, the dwelling- house of Caroline Mary Worcester, at Blisworth, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a green cloth table Cover, with border of yellow satin embroidered, in centre there is a pattern of similar material to border ; a Stereoscope, aud from twenty to thirty Slides in a velvet case ; a papier mache Writing Case, plain on one side, the other side flowered and figured ; two Scrap Books, one green with the name ' Caroline Mary Worcester,' the other a purple, rather faded, with the names ' A. J. Worcester,' ' C. M. Worcester,' and W. J. Wor- cester ' written on fly leaf; aod a tortoiseshell card Case, ' E. Shaw ' engraved in silver on theoutside of lid. Supposed by a man dressed in dark, clothes, from 30 to 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, and who carried a black mackintosh on his arm. Information to be given to Superintendent Norman. Stolen on the night of tbe 26th instant, from a field at Daventry ; the property of Jeremiah Orams : a biown thorough- bred harness Mare, 6 years old, about 15 hands high, small blaze on the forehead, a small light mark on the nostril, the off forefoot slightly; contracted, a few white hair; on the back from g& cldle mark, tail cut square at the haunches black legs, and in good condition. £ 5 reward will be paid on the conviction of the offender or offenders and recovery of the property. Suspicion is attached to two men, accompanied by a woman, who were hawking cheesS. One man is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 11 iachei high, dark hair and complexion, clean shaved, and stout make; the other is about 40 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, light hair, fair com- plexion, and a tuft of hair under the chin ; both were dressed in dark clothes. Tbe woman was about 40 years of age, florid complexion, dark hair, and good- iookiug. They were travelling with a strong spring cart and a dark brown mare, about 16 hands high. Information to be given to Head Constable Foster, Daventry, Northamptonshire.— Bow- street, September 29. Stolen from a livery stable at Brighton, on the 25th. instant : a brown Mare, about 14 hands 2 inches high, in good condition, has two chipped knees, a crupper mdrk, one white hind fetlock, and a long dock tail, recently cut. The mare was hired by a man, who gave the name of WILLIAMSON, and an address ascertained to be false, he is about 20 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, no whiskers or moustache, dark brown hair, fair complexion : dressed in a. black frock coat, light check trousers, black high bat, and is of gentlemanly appearence, aud carried a bamboo cane; he never returned with the mare. Information to be given to Chief Constable White, Brighton, Sussex— Bow- street, September 29. Stolen during the night of the 22nd instant, from a field at Newton- in- Cleveland : a Cleveland bay Mare, 7 years old, 15 hands 2 inches high, tail cut square, a little white on off hind fetlock, a small lump oa near shoulder through being worked, crooked hind legs, aud in good condition. Information to be given to Superintendent Simpson, Con- stabulary Office, South Stockton, or to luspecior Ho'meg, Constabulary Office, Stokesley, N. B. Yorkshire.— Bow- street, September 27. The Horse and Cart obtained from the livery stables of Mr. Richard Speight, c: f Gravesend, on the 12th instant, aud advertised in the Police Gazette of the 20th instant, have been fouud sold at Heading: two men of the following description are charged with stealing the same : one 27 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark complexion, aud small moustache; dressed in dark frock coat, plaid trousers, and high hat, with narrow verge. The other about 23 years of age, stout, 5 feet 3 inches high, aud clean face; dressed in dark clothes, aud deerstalker hat. Both men are hawkers, and are known in the neighbourhood of Walworth, where they occasionally reside. Stolen from the cattle fair, on the 19th inst., at Worcester : 5 ewe Sheep, marked with blue dots on the back, and ' G. B. E' iu pitch on the side. Supposed stolen from a field at Plungar, Leicester, during the night of the 18th instant : a dark, bay cart Horse, about 6 years old, about 16 hands high, has a scar on the inside near fore leg below the knee, the same leg has been clipped below the knee and blistered, and is a little swollen, has a scar on off' hip, had no shoes on bind feet, iu good condition ; the property of Messrs. Has been convicted of a similar offence in Cornwall twelve. month ago. He is likely to seek employment as a collier oi miner. Charged on a warrant with stealing diamonds and jewellery of the valueof £ 1000 : WILLIAM FISK, 56 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, stout build, light grey hair, a little bald, full beard, rather long ; geneially wears a plain diamond ring on third finger of left hand. Further description of PETER CRUIS, rag and bone collector ( advertised in the Police G< z » tteof the 6th instant) : he is about 26 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, sallow com- plexion, bluck hair, brown eyes, full face, scar on forehead over left eye, slight black moustache, very down looking, aud rough voice ; usually dressed in dark clothes, large soit jimcrow hat, aud lace- up boots; he was bern in Roscommon, Ireland, and is now supposed to be with bis father at tialon or Batlan Lock, Ireland, and is well known at Much Wenlock aud Bridgnorth, Salop. £°> reward is offered for his appre- hensiou and conviction. Absconded on the 19th instant from Aberavon, charged » pon a warrant with stealing £ 19 2s. the monies of one Jenkin David: HENRY FOSTER PARKER, a tailor, and a native of London, about 40 years of age, about, 5 feet 4 inches high, veiy dark complexion, black hair, whiskers, and moustache, which, is turning grey, black eyes, wir. h heavy eyebrows, full face, stout build, and broad shoulders, fat feet, one of which he turns out very much, aud is very much addicted to drink. Information to be given to Superin- tendent Howlett, County Constabulary, Neath, Glamorgan- shire.— Bow- st, September 27. Description of two men, charged with stealing a Canvas Bag in Sturbitch Fair, Cambridge, on the ' 25 ti instant, con- taining a Cheque for £ 55, and about £ i in Cash They afterwaids cat bed the Cheque at Messrs. Fosters' Bank, one of them endorsing it ' Smith, Luton,' and received five £ 10 Botes, Nos. respectively A520, A794. B251, B256. and B372, and a £ 5 note, No. 4975, all of Messrs. Fosters' Bank. One of them is about 50 years of age, rather short and thick set, • wearing a black coat aud high hat, and had a large ring on one of his fingers. The other is from 25 to 30 years of age, nearly 6 feet high, walked lame, had a dark moustache, and • wore a long dark coat, such as is worn by dealers, aud a blue and white silk handkerchief round bis neck. They both had the appearance of respectable horse- dealers. Police officers are requested to com mm. i ; ate the numbers of the Notes to all Banks within their jurisdiction. Absconded, 21st inst, from the Dublin coffee house, Mile End- road, stealing £ 6 10s. : a youth, 18 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexio , black hair ; dressed in grey tunic, collar bound with red, ' East London Home' on arm, greasy moleskin trousers, red stripes down side, lace boots, and Oxford Bhirc.— Metropolitan Police, K Division, September 25. Stolen, 19th inst,, from 42, Union- street, Whitechapel: £ 42 in gold. By a man, 29 years of a^ e, 5 ftet 7 inches high, dark complexioh, black hair, cleau shaved ; dressed in dark clothes, black felt hat. Description of RICHARD EDWARD JONES, a tailor by trade, chaiged with stealing from the house of John Hemming, Stratford- on- Avon, on the 21st instant, a silver lever open- face Watch ( No. 1556), and £ 3 10s. in Gold : he is 28 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, auburn hair, small sandy whiskers and moustache, very daik restless eyes, pale fealures, walks very upright and quick, aud generally with bis hands in his trousers pockets ; dieased in dark coat, vest, aud trousers, light grry overt:, at, and hard dark brown billycock bat; he is a native of London, aud states his father is a tailor at Islington; he bas worked in Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham. Wales, and Loudon. Information to be given to Superintendent Alcester, or to Inspector Anslett, County Police Station, Stratford- on- Avon, Warwickshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Row- street, Sept. 25. • Absconded on the 12th instant, from Bexley. stealing a £ 50 Bauk of England Note: JOHN SUTCLIFFE, alias " HAPPY JACK," 45 years of age, 6 feet 6 inches high, sallow complexion, dark hair turning grey, whiskers shaved off, and tuft on chiu dark brown; dressed iu a brown over- coat, dogskin collar, grey trousers and vest, and high black hat. He was accompanied by his wife, 45 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, ruddy complexion, full face, and light brown hair; dress black with white stripe, black velvet bonnet trimmed red and white feathers ; and twoi- ons, 16 and 18 years of age. Absconded from Bridgnorth, on the 21st instant: a travelling watch and clock cleaner, charged with larceny as bailee of a small silver Geneva Watch, with siJver- c iloured face, marked with a dark spit near the figures 4 or 5, the guard consisted of a black binding ribbon. He is 60 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, pale face, grey whiskers; dretsed in a long black trock coat, gone brown irom wear, and trousers of nearly the same material, low shoes, hard felt hat, He walks very erect, and stated ho came from Epsom.
