Stolen, by means of housebreaking, from the ' Blue Bal1 Inn,' Wood End, Lichfield, between 7 and 10 p. m. on the 19th instant: about £ 80 in Gold, £ 6 in Silver, a few old Copper Coins, a pair of gold Ear- rings, an old Wedding Ring, and a patent Laver Watch, inlaid with gold on centre of outside case, No. 8644, maker ' J. Stolen from the dwelling- house of James Cork, at All Hallows, Kent, on the 19th instant: an old fashioned silver Watch, figured face, No. 74891. Supposed by a lodger, about 21 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark complexion, and hair ; dressed in light trousers and vest, black monkey jacket, drab cap with peak, and side- spring boots. During the night of the 17th instant, the dwelling- house of Caroline Mary Worcester, at Blisworth, was broken aud entered, and stolen therein : a green cloth table Cover, with border of yellow satin embroidered, in centre there is pattern of similar material to border; a Stereoscope,' and from twenty to thirty Slides in a velvet case; a papier mache Writing Case, plain on one side, the other side flowered and figured ; two Scrap Books, otie green with the name ' Caroline Mary Worcester,' the other a purple, rather faded, with the names ' A, J. Worcester,' ' C. M. Worcester,' aud W. J. Wor- cester' written on fly leaf; and a tortoisesbell card Case, ' E. Shaw ' engraved in silver on the outside of'lids Supposed by a man dressed iu dark clothes, from 30 to 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches higb, and who carried a black mackintosh on his arm. Itf irmation to be given to Superintendent Simpson, Con- stabulary Office, South Stockton, or to Inspector Holmes, Constabulary Office, Stokesley, N. R. Yorkshire.— Bow- street, September 27. The Horse and Cart obtained from the livery stablea of Mr. Richard Speight, of Gravesend, on the 12th instant, and adveitised in the Police Gazette of the 20th instant, have been found sold at Reading: two men of the following description are charged' with stealing the same : one 27 years ! of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark complexion, aud small moustache; dressed in dark frock coat, plaid trousers, and i high hat, with narrow verge. The other about 23 years o£ age, stout, 5 feet 3 inches high, and clean face ; dressed in dark clothes, aud deerstalker hat. Both men are hawkers, and are known in the neighbourhood of Walworth, where t'ney occasionally reside. Stolen from the cattle fair, on the 19th inst,, at Worcester : ewe Sheep, marked with blue dots on the back, and G. B. E' iu pitch on the side. Supposed stolen from a field at Plungar, Leicester, during the night, of the 18th instant: a dark bay cart Horse, about 6 years old, about 16 hands high, has a scar on the inside near fore leg below the knee, the same leg has been clipped below the knee and blistered, and is a little swollen, has a scar on off hip, had no shoes on hind feet, in good condition ; the property of Messrs. Benton and Woodiwiss, Railway Con- tractors, Bottesford. Information to be given to Inspector Hinds, Constabulary Station, Bottesford, Leicestershire, near Nottingham.— Bow- street, September 25. Stolen at Login Farm, in the parish of Swansea Higher, the property of Mr. John Davies, farmer, on the night of the llth instant : a bay ca « Mare, 7 years old, about 15 hands high, black mane and tail, the hair rubbed off butt of tail and top of mine, which is ratber short, aud a piece broken off one hind hoof. By EDWARD EVANS, who absconded from Forestfach,. near Swansea, on the 18th instant: he is a miner aud native of Helston, Cornwall, about 22 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, dark complexion and eyes, very dark hair, which is cut short, thin features, and slight built, ; dressed in light snuff- coloured coat, bound with black braid, dark grey trousers, black vest, elastic- side boots, and liuht grey cloth bowler hat. Has been convicted of a similar offence iu Cornwall twelve month ago. He is likely to seek employment as a collier oi miner. Charged on a warrant, with stealing diamonds and jewellery of the value of .£ 1000 : WILLIAM FISK, 66 years of age, about 5 feer, 4 inches high, stout build, light grey hair, a little bald, full beard, rather long ; generally wears a plain diamond ring on third tinger of left band. Information to be given to Inspector Bailey, City Police Office, Old Jewry. — Bmn- ttneet, bepiember 27. Further description of PETER CRUIS, rag and bone collector ( advertised in the Police Gazette of tbe 6th instant) : he is about 26 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, sallow com- plexion, black hair, brown eyes, full face, scar on forehead over left eye, slight black moustache, very down looking, and rough voice ; usually dressed in dark clothes, large soft jimcrow hat, and lace- up boots; he was bcrn in Roscommon, Ireland, and is now supposed to be with his father at Balon or Ballan Lock, Irelaad, and is well known at Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth, Salop. £ 5 reward is offered for his appre- hension and conviction. Absconded on the 19th instant from Aberavon, charged upon a warrant with stealing £ 19 2s. the monies of one Jenkin David : HENRY FOSTER PARKER, a tailor, and j a native of London, about 40 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, very dark complexion, black hair, whiskers, and moustache, which is turning grey, black eyes, with heavy eyebrows, full face, stout build, aud broad shouldm, fac feet, one of which he turns out very much, and is very much addicted to drink. Information to be given to Superin- tendent Hnwlett, County Constabulary, Neath, Glamorgan- shire.— Bow- st., September 27. Description of two men, charged with stealing a Canvas Bag iu Sturbitch Fair, Cambridge, on the 25th instant, con- taining a Cheque for £ 55, and about £ i in Cash They afterwards cashed the C tit que at Messrs. Fosters' Bank, one of them endorsing it ' Sinito, Luton,' and received five £ 10 notes, Nos. respectively A520, A794, B251, B256, and B372, and a £ 5 note, No. 4975, all of Messrs. Fosters' Bank. One of them is about 50 years of age, rather short and thick set, wearing a black coat and high hat, and had a large ring on one of his fingers. The other is from 25 to 30 years of age, nearly 6 feet high, walked lamn, had a dark moustache, and woie a long dark coat, such as is worn by dealers, aud a blue and white silk handkerchief round his neck. They both had the appearance of respectable horse- dealers. Police officers are requested to com muni'. ate the numbers of the Notes to all Backs within their jurisdiction. Description of JOHN ALLEN, alias GIPSY JACK, charged with stealing 7 fowls, at Whaplode Marsh, on the 17th instant : he is about 35 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, bair, and whiskers round chin ; dressed in old blue pilot cloth jacket, with pockets at sides, cord trousers, fustian vest, red and white muffler round neck, tied in a knot in front, blue eloth cap with peak. He frequents low beerhouses and brothels. He is a preacher, and has been several times convicted of various offences in Lincolnshire. He o: casionally works at thrashing machines, and was traced to Horncastle on the 17th inst, Information to be given to Superintendent Leaper, County Police'Station, Spalding, Lincolnshire.— Bow- street, September 25. Stolen, 19th inst., from . 42, Union- street, Whitechapel: £ 42 in gold. Description of RICHARD EDWARD JONES, a tailor by trade, chaiged with stealing from the house of John Hemming, Stratford- on- Avon, on the 21st instant, a silver lever open- face Watch ( No. 1556), aud £ 3 10s. iu Gold : he is 28 years of age, 5 fett 4 inches high, auburn hair, small sandy whiskers and moustache, very dark restless eyes, pale features, walks very upright and quick, and generally with his hands in his trousers pockets ; dressed in dark coat, vest, and trousers, light grey overcoat, and hard dark brown billycock bat; he is a native of London, aud states his father is a tailor at Islington; he has worked in Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Wales, and London. Information to be given to Superintendent Alcester, or to Inspector Anslett, County Police Station, Stratford- on- Avon, Warwickshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, Sept. 25. Absconded on the 12th instant, from Bexley. stealing a £ 50 Bank of England Note: JOHN SUTCLIFFE, alias " HAPPY JACK," 45 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, sallow complexion, dark hair turning grey, whiskers shaved off, and tuft on chin dark brown ; dressed iu a brown over- coat, dogskin collar, grey trousers and vest, and high black hat. He was accompanied by his wife, 45 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches higb, ruddy complexion, full face, and light brown hair; dress black with white stripe, black velvet bonnet trimmed red and white feathers ; aud two tous, 16 and 18 years of age. Charged on a warrant with fraud : CHARLES SMITH, agent, late of Paul's- buildings, Paternoster- row, and Derby House, East Dulwich, 45 years of age, 5 feet 4i inches high, fair complexion, grey eyes, hair and whiskers ( slight) light, stout build; dressed iu black morning coat and vest, light trousers, and taw felt hat.
