BUHGXtAJtaS' AJM'B SOUSE Between 2 and 3 p. m. on the 11th instant, the cottage of Samuel Crowther, labourer, Broadheatb, near Worcester, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a pair of man's new cotton cord Trousers, with fall fronts ; and an old- fashioned silk Handkerchief, yellow and red, with black spots. By a j man, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark swarthy j complexion, no whiskers or moustache, of gipsy appearance ; i dressed in dirty grey jacket, with slop underneath, old cord j trousers, and dark cap, with peak. Description of a tramp charged with breaking into the dwelling- house of Thomas Parratt, at Tealby, between 10 and 12 a. m. on the 11th instant, and st. esding a pair of lace- up nailed Boots, with a strip of patent leather up the lace- holes, rivetted soles, brass eyelet- holes, and one eyelet- hole torn out of right boot near the botton : he is about 26 or 28 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches higb, slight sandy moustache, red sunburnt face ; dressed in a dark jacket, dirty grey trousers, and found hard black hat. Information to be given to; Superintendent Henson, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.— Bow- j street, July 14. i Description of SAMUEL HOLLAND, who is charged with several cases of housebreaking : about 33 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, light hair, bald on tbe top of head, but has a little hair above his forehead, dark blue eyes, sandy moustache, whiskers and beard shaved off, sharp nose, ratherj . long features, aud slightly bowlegged ; dressed in black cloth ; suit, black hard felt billycock hat, elastic side boots, sometimes' wears grey mixture trousers, and is of very smart appearance. He is a native of Stockport, and had with him a small1 Maltese dog ; aud was convicted at Leeds Assizes in 1864 of housebreaking at Otley. A reward of £ 1 will be paid for his apprehension. County; Police Station, Bedford, Bedfordshire.-— Brno- street, July 14. j Description of EDWARD GEORGE SMITH, alias' IRISH YANKEY, charged with stealing a Horse and aj spotted grey Mare from a field at Parka Farm, near! Bridgeud, on the night of the 20th ultimo. The Horse was sold by Smith on the 23rd ultimo at Pontnewydd, Monmouth- shire, where he bought a hawker's wa, re- cart with odd wheels, painted blue and striped white, aud a new set of harness. He travels with a lifting machine, testing strength, attends fairs, & c,, and has been following Sanger's Circus for some time, hia name being on the face of the machine ; is about 35 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, rather thin face, red moustache, . whiskers shaved off, tattoo marks of a man and a woman on inside of one forearm ; dressed in dark clothes and soft grey felt hat. The Mare is 9 years old, about 14-^ hands higb, near fore and hind foot white, and has been blistered in the neck. Stolen from Stapley Marsh about the end of May last : a brown filly Pony, 2 years old, about 12 hands high, no shoes on, tail cat, the property of Richard Pruce, Stapley, farmer, who offers £ 2 reward for its recovery and conviction of the offender or offenders. Stolen from a field at Shincliffe, on the night of the 4th, instant: a bay Mare, 8 or 9 years old, about 16 hands high, has a bare place on near fore fetlock, and has been fired on the hind legs, short tail, and shoes marked ' Graham.' Stolen from Eynsford between the 1st and 2nd instant: three Hampshire Down Sheep, marked with a black dot ( nearly obliterated) on left shoulder. Also stolen, from Dartford during the night of the 4th inst.: a Southdown Lamb, about half- grown, marked with red oclire across the back. Stolen from a field in the parish of Guilsborough, on the night of the 7th instant : a bay mare Pony, aged, 12 hands high, one hind foot white, off h:> rt leg' spavined, white face, hair off bath knees, and has been recently shod. Found at Roydon, Essex, on the 26th nit., supposed to have been stolen : a dark bay Mare, about 15 hands high, short tail, black legs, in good condition, and a lump on side of head. Stolen from a field in Sheffield early on the morning of t. lie 4th instant: an iron- grey cart Mare, about 15 bands higb, rising 5 years old, aud has dark hair on fetlocks. S.' engraved ; a silver Geneva lever Watch, . No. 3561, maker Upjohn, Geneve ; a pair of Bracelets, supposed gold, fastens with clasp ornament, representing a clasp hand ; and a cameo Brooch. By a young man who slept in the house the previous night: .18 to 20 years of age. 5 feet 6 inches high, delicate appearance, dark hair, parted in centre, roman nose ; dressed as a midshipman, gold band round his cap, and patent leather shoes. Stolen on the 8th instant from Upson's coffee house, Whitechapel High- street : a box, containing 6 Dresses, silk and cottou ; 12 linen Chemises. 4 pairs of Shoes, 5 pairs of linen Drawers, 4 Petticoats, 5 silk Handkerchiefs, 2 black Hats, 1 red travelling Rug, 4 pairs of gilt Bracelets, 1 silver hunting Watch, jet Chain attached. Absconded from Bridgnorth on the 6th instant, charged • with embezzling £ 3 15s. 8jd., the monies of Fred. Lloyd : WILLIAM STEENTON, a baker, and native of Shrews- bury, 27 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches higb, light brown hair, whiskers, and moustache ( small), fair complexion, pock- marked face, proportionate build, and walks erectly; dressed in a light grey cloth jacket an d vest, corchiroy trousers, black hard felt hat, and elastic- side boots. B. E.'; a pair of cashmere button Boots, a sealskin Handbag, aud nineteen! Shillings. By a female servant, about 20 years of age, about 5 feet 4 iuches higb, ruddy complexion, good locking, light hair, medium figure; supposed dressed in the stolen clothes. Stolen between 8 and 10 p. m. on the 1st instant, from a dwelling- house at Windsor: a youth's black Overcoat, pockets at sides and on left breast ; a very light pair of boy's Trousers ; a pair of boy's pepper- and- salt coloured Trousers ; an old silver lever Watch, without glass, and out of repair ; and a dusting Brush, marked ' J. V. C.' By HARRY SEYMOUR, a tramping painter, about 45 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, hair turning grey, heavy moustache, no beard or whiskers, tattooed on arms, ' M. A. B.' on one arm, scar on left side of forehead and across the forehead ; he states that he has been a ship's painter, and wears a medal. Information to be given to Chief Superintendent Hayes. Description of JAMES GRIFFITHS, a jockey, of Aymestry, Herefordshire, who is charged, on a warraat, with stealing a Duck on tho 25th ultimo : about 22 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, slight figure, fair complexion, light hair, and small sandy whiskers ; dressed in a light mixed suit, hard felt hat, and blucher boots. He ia likely to seek employment at hunting stables. Information to be given to Superintendent Dykes^ Leominster, or to Sergeant Philpotts, Wigmore, Herefordshire.— Bow- street, July 10. Absconded on the 4th instant from 267, Regent- street, St. Marylebone, stealing £ Q 2s. : a man, 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, complexion and hair dark, whiskers blaek ;[ dressed in black clothes ; a hair dresser. It is supposed he will^ go to France.— Metiopolitan Police, C Division, July 7. Description of THOMAS LEE, charged at Coventry with stealing £ Z 5s. from his lodgings on the 3rd instant: he is about 20 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, dark eyes and hair, medium build, very much sun burnt, brown mark on left cheek near lower jaw, and is rather flat- footed ; dressed in a blue cloth cap with gilt buttons and straight peak, black jacket, light mixture trousers, vislet and black shirt, and of respectable appearance. He obtained lodgings by falsely representing himself to be a clerk in the employ of the London and North Western Railway Company, and about to be stationed at Coventry. Information to be given to Head Constable Norris, Coventry, Warwickshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- Ureel, July 7. suit ; states he has worked in London till this spring, since then has been tramping the country. Information to be given to Superintendent Fuller, Barton- on- Humber, Lincoln- shire.— Bow- street, July 14. Committed to Northallerton Sessions, for larceny, at Middlesborough : ARTHUR DOBSON, moulder, a native of Middleton- in- Stranton, 24 yearsage, 5 feet 7 inches high, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, and hazel eyes. JOHN KELLY, a moulder, a native of North Shields, 26 years of age/ 5 8| inches high, freah complexion, dark brown hair, haz- J ey8fe, scar on nose and right cheek ; has been committed to 1 month haid labour, at West Hartlepool, for frequenting a public place for an unlawful purpose. Information to be given to Chief Constable Saggerson, Borough Police Station, Middlesbordugh.— Bow- st., July 14. Left his home at Clewer, on the 8th instant, and has not since been heard of : WILLIAM RUNDLE, 10 years of age, about 4 feet 8 inches high, fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair, medium figure, scar on top of forehead ; dressed iu black round jacket, brown vest, grey troufers, much patched, red and blue cricketing cap, yellow and dark striped shirt, and lace- up nailed boots. It is feared some ill has befallen bim. Information to be given to Superintendent Blake, Berks Constabulary, Clewer.— Bow- street, July 14. Missing from his home, at Chesterfield, since Whit Monday, and not, since been heard of : HARRY TAYLOR, about 14 years of age, dark complexion, small features, blue mark on right temple ; dressed in dark blue suit, black cloth cap, strong nailed boots, and old woollen shirt had worked at coach painting a few months. It is feared some ill has befallen him. A reward of .£ 1 will be given to any person giving information as to his whereabouts. Infor- mation to be given to Head Constable Else, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.— Bow- street, July 14. Committed for trial at the ensuing Quarter Sessions at Stafford, for housebreaking and pocket picking : JOHN MORRISON, about 38 years of age, 5 feet 8i inches high, dark hair, moustache, and tuft on chin, no whiskers, light brown eyes, very sallow complexion, long thin face and sickly- looking, scar left side of nose, and a running sore left leg. WILLIAM FRANCIS, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, black hair, whiskers, and moustache, shaves under his chin, light brown eye3, very sallow complexion, has a scar right side of forehead, left side of chin, and large scar across bridge of nose, and is of Jewish appearance. Informa- tion to be given to Superintendent Bowen, Burton- on- Trent, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, July 14. over the right eye, lame of the left foot, and states that it was crushed by the fall of some iron stone while working in the mines at Rosedale. JOHN WALTER JARVIS, alias JONES and LLOYD, advertised in the Police Gazette of the 30ttt ultimo, has been apprehended.— Bow- street, Julv 14. Absconded, charged with fraud : ROBERT LANDELL, 50 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches higb, dark complexion, brown hair, whiskers shaved off, thick moustache, hazel eyes, drops the lower jaw when speaking, and of respectable ' appearance ; dressed in black diagonal walking coat and vest, light mixture tweed trousers, and hard felt hat. Last known address, I, Montpelier - square, Brompton. Has friends residing at Percy - terrace, Mortlake. Warrant issued.— Metropolitan Police, E Division, July 10. Description of WILLIAM CONDON, a photographic artist, supposed to be a native of Newcastle- on- Tyne, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, fresh complexion, light brown hair, parted down the centre, light brown whiskers and moustache, shaved out on chin ; dressed in a dark blue cloth shooting coat and veat, bound with black braid, dark brown cloth trouseis, black billycock hat, and a pair of low shoes, walks very erect, and steps short; frequents public- houses, but generally takes private lodgings ; was last seen going in the direction of Malton, on the 16th ultimo, and is supposed to be making for the East or West Biding of York- shire : he is charged with obtaining 10i 6d., on the 5th ult., by means of taking a negative photographs, and promising to supply the copies by the 9tb, which he failed to do, but absconded on that date ; carries with him his photographic apparatus, and a small black leather bag, and travels from town to town. Information to be given to Superintendent Simpson, Constabulary Office, South Stockton, or to Inspector Holmes, Constabulary Office, Stokesley, North Riding of Yorkshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension, and will forward a photogragh on application. — Bow- street, July 10. He was was convicted at Welshpool Sessions on 21st October, 1869, for breaking and entering a house and stealing therein, and sentenced to 7 years penal servitude and 7 years police super- vision. When he last reported himself he was working as a mason's labourer on the new lino of railway between Leeds aud Wetherby.
