Stolen from the person of a lady at, the Henley Railway Station, on the 29th ultimo : a gold lever engine- turned Watch and Chain, two Seals, a Telescope, Mordant's Pencil- case, ivory, spotted with blaek, and a Watch Key attached, engraved thereon ' Emma and Rose,' shamrock aud thistle, maker Barwiae, Loudon. £ 2 reward will be paid to auy person or persons giving such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offenders and recovery of the propelty. Stolen from the person of William Graham, at Norton, on the lst instant: a silver lever Watch, maker's name ' Edward Berger, No. 8094,' silver dial and gold figures, long HOaSB AID CATTLE Description of EDWARD GEORGE SMITH, alias IRISH YANKEY, charged with stealing a Horse aud a spotted grey Mare from a field at Parka Farm, near Bridgend, on the night of file 20th ultimo. The Horse was sold by Smith on the 23rd ultimo at Poutnewydd, Monmouth- shire, where he bought a hawker's ware- cart, with odd wheels, painted blue and stiiped white, and a new set of harness. He travels with a lifting machine, testing strength, attends fairs, & c, and has been following Sanger's Circus for some time, his name being on tbe face of the machine ; is about 35 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, rather thin face, red moustache, whiskers shaved off, tattoo marks of a man and a woman on inside of one forearm ; dressed in dark clothes and soft grey felt hat. The Mare is 9 years old, about 14| hands high, near forehand hind foot, white, and has been blistered iu the neck. Stolen from Stapley Marsh about the end of May last : a brown filly Pony, 2 years old, about 12 hands high, no shoes on, tail cut, the property of Richard Pruce, Stapley, farmer, who offers £ 2 reward for its recovery aud conviction of the offender or offenders. Stolen from a field at Shincliffe, on fhe night of tbe 4th instant : a bay Mare, 8 or 9 years old, about 16 hands high, has a bare place on near fore fetlock, aud has been fired on the hind legs, short tail, and shoes marked ' Graham.' Further information respecting the Horse stolen at Harston, near Cambridge, advertised in the Police Gazette of 28th ultimo. It was traced through Buntingford and Ware by way of Stamford- hill into London, reaching there at 5 p. m. on 87th ultimo. It was shod all round on the way there. £ 1.0 reward will be paid on conviction of the offender or offenders. Stolen from a field at Rhymney, on the 27th ultimo : a bright bay Horse, 5 years old, about 17 hands high, lately fired on the fore legs, small white star on forehead, and white on one hind foot, is iu good condition. Description of a man who is charged, at Wakefield, with stealing 32 fat shearing Sheep from Crofton Park, during the night of the 20th ultimo ; the property of George Scholey, of Badsworth : about 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, rather dark complexion, dark brown hair, whiskers, and. moustache ; dressed in a black billycock hat, a dark suit, and lace- np boots. GEORGE QUANTRILL, native of Norwich, advertised in t. he Police Gazette of the 30th ultimo, charged with larceny, is further charged with stealing at Aldborough Fair on the 2 Ist ult. a Gelding, which has been recovered. BVE6LA& Y AM'B MtOKTSJE BEEAEIira Description of SAMUEL HOLLAND, who is charged with teveral cases of housebreaking : about 33 years of age, 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, light hair, bald on the top of head, but has a little hair above his forehead, dark blue eyes, sandy moustache, whiskers and beard shaved off, sharp nose, rather long features, and slightly bowlegged ; dressed in black cloth suit, black hard felt billycock hat, elastic side boots, sometimes wears grey mixture trousers, and ia of very smart appearance. <> Ie is a native of Stockport, and had with him a small. Maltese dog ; and was convicted at Leeds Assizes in 1864 of housebreaking at Otley. A reward of £ I will be paid for his apprehension. Further information respecting the house- breaking at Brenehley, Kent, as advertised iu the Police Gazette of the 26th ultimo: a man named JOSEPH ROWLAND, alias ROLINGS, alias THOMAS, a native of Bow, London, has been committed for trial ( on the charge) at Maidstone Assizes, on the llt. h instant : he is about 80 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, full face, and stoutly build ; dressed! in dark jacket and trousers, and round hat. He attends fairs, races, & c., card sharping, and is known as the CAPTAIN. None of the property has been recovered. Another man was in the company of Rowland, and is still at large, he is about 36 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, and dark whiskers j dressed in dark clothes, and high crown hat. By a man who had been lodging at the house, atid stated he w. as employed to superintend the telegraph atthe Midland Railway Station, St.. Alban's, which is false ; 35 vrs. of age, 5 feet 8 inches higb, dark hair and moustache, and no whiskers; dressed in a grey oaf, dark grey plaid trousers, hard black felt hat, and carries tt black leather bag. Stolen from Dartford, on the 29th ultimo : a common leather Purse, containing £ 1 10s. in Gold, and a gilt Albert Chain, snake pattern. • By a man, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, dark complexion, large eyes, black frizzey hair, parted in the centre ; wore a midshipman's cap, with crown, & c., plaid trousers, and dark coat and vest; be stated that he was in the seivice of the Peninsular aud Oriental Steam Navigation Company, which is supposed to be false, and said he was going to Woolwich. A man who gave the name of WILLIAM DICKSON, a slater and plasterer, of Ryehill, Newcastle- on- Tyne, has absconded from Berwick- upon- Tweed, charged on a warrant with obtaining £ 1 5a. by false pretences: 45 to 50 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, ordinary make, fair com plexion, fitir or grey hair, grey whiskers, slight moustache, shaved on chin ; dressed in grey clothes, white duck over- clothes, old black felt hat, check scarf, white shirt, and laced boots. Description of WILLIAM CONDON, a photographic artist, supposed to be a native of Newcastle- on- Tyne, about 35 years ot age, 5 feet 3 inches high, fresh complexion, light brown hair, parted down the centre, light brown whiskers and moustache, shaved out. ou chin ; dressed in a dark blue cloth shootiug coat and vest, bound with black braid, dark brown cloth trousers, black billycock hat, aud a pair of low shoes, walks very erect, and steps short; frequents public- houses, but generally takes private lodgings ; was last seen going in the direction, of Malton, on the 16th ultimo, and is supposed to be making for the East or West Riding of York- shire : he is charged with obtaining 10s. 6d., on the 5th ult., by means of taking a negative photographs, and promising to supply the copies by tiie 9th, which he failed to do, but absconded on that date ; carries with him his photographic apparatus, aud a. small black leather bag, aud travels trorn town to town. Obtained by false pretences from a boot and shoemaker in Bolton, on the 30th ultimo: two pairs of ladies' terry elastic kid Boots, peak caps, machine sewn ; a pair of lady's imitation lace- up front Boots, pririte mark ' A.
