The other about 30 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, black moustache, and no whiskers; dressed in dark CLOTHES and clogs. Absconded, charged with forging audi uttering two Cheques on the Imperial Bank : R. N. LLOYD, tutor, 33 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches higb, sallow complexion, small whiskers, brown hair, and right hand withered ; dressed in BmBUULA& Y' AMD MOUSE BREAKING. Between 2 and 5 p. m. on the 13th instant, the dwelling- house of James Challenor, Shocklach, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a black cloth Coat, pockets on hips, a ditto Vest, a pair grey mixture Trousers, dark stripe, a blue and white check shirt, and a pair light lace- up boots, tips on heels. Supposed by a man of the following description, who was seen near to the house with a bundle : about 26 or 27 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, light complexion and light whiskers ; dressed in light grey cloth coat, dark trousers, and dark cap. By a man who has gone by the name of CHARLES,' alias ALICK, alias TOM, MILNER or MILLER, but whose real name is supposed to be THOMAS BIBINGTON, about 26 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, sallow complexion, supposed grey eyes, dark brown bair, a boots or waiter by occupation, supposed to be a native of Manchester, of slender huild, has two cut marks on fore- head, and one left side of nose ; was dressed when last seen, in an old blue double- breasted frock coat and vest, dark brown mixture trousers, black and white mixture eloth cap, and strong laee- up boots, nearly new. Absconded on the llth instant, charged on a warrant with embezzlement: JAMES COX ARTHUR, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, pale complexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, slight whiskers, and small very light- colour moustache ; speaks with a strong Staffordshire accent, good address, and of gentlemanly appearance. Was some years in Petersfield, and is now supposed to be in the neighbourhood of Aldershot. Description of THOMAS DOVEY aud SARAH RHODES, alias SKINNER, who are charged with having on the 9th instant, at Sedgley, violently assaulted one Thomas Jones and stolen from his person a pocket- brok aid £ 32 in money : Dovey is about 24 years of age, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, light brown hair and moustache, fair complexion, whiskers shaved off; dressed in dark brown coat and vest, moleskin trousers, black cap which he wears tight on his head and he is a miner. Rhodes is about 24 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches hij, h, dark browiirhair, fair complexion ; was wearing a dark skirt, black velvet tunic, paisley shawl, black velvet bonnet with small white feather. She frequents Dudley, Walsall, Burton- on- Trent, & c. They are supposed to be together. Description of two young men, charged with highway robbery with violence, at Birkenhead, on the 6th instant: one dressed in tweed coat, moleskin trousers, dark cloth cap, and red muffler ; the other dressed in dark coat and trousers, and blaek billycock hat. Stolen from a field on the 24th ultimo : 10 Yearling Sheep, the near ear has a slit in length, the off ear a key notch under, aud a ruddle mark between the ears and down the left thigh; the property of Mr. Benjamin Powell, Pres- teon, Abbeycwmhir, Radnorshire. Stolen from a dwelling- house in Congleton, about 9 a. m. on the 8th instant; a black cobnrg dress Skirt, with fiill round the bottom; a, light woollen Shawl ( recovered) ; a Book, called ' The Orphan a pair of black kid Gloves, 71 size; and a lady's small silver Geneva Watch, out of repair. By ANNIE BEEMAN, alias LUCY BEEMAN, about 18 years of age, very fresh looking, sandy hair, and light blue eyes ; dressed in a black felt hat, trimmed with corded silk and pheasant feather, black cloth jacket, open breasted and collar with point in centre behind, white linen dux collar, light print dress ( supposed to be wearing the stolen skirt over it), and carried a lady's satchel with her. She is of good address and respectable appearance, and has been a ward maid in the North Stafford Infirmary, and left about the 5th instant, no doubt she will endeavour to obtain a situation as servant. She sold the shawl on her way to Congletou Station soon after the robbery, and stated she wanted the money to pay her fare to Blackburn. She is a native of Knutton Heath, in Staffordshire. Stolen between the 25th March last and the 8th instant, from the ' White Hart' hotel, Harrogate : a dark blue slack backed Coat and Vest ; a single- breasted black melton Coat, with two pockets outside and one inside left breast, and Vest to match, the buttons covered with same material as the coat; a blue ribbed cloth double- breasted shooting Coat, two pockets and ticket pocket outside, and one iuside left left breast, and Vest to match ; a greenish- brown mixture double- breasted shooting Coat, with single- breasted Vest and pair of Trousers, of same material; a Suit of dark Scotch plaid ; a- grey silk alpaca loose backed summer Coat; Absconded, Sth, from No. 159, Oxford- street, stealing a Cheque for £ 10 : a youth, 18 years of age, 5 feet 10Js iucbes high, fair complexion, and light hair; dressed in a blaek frock coat, drab trousers, blaek felt hat, and oxford shoes; he is a porter.— Metropolitan Police, D Division, May 15. Stolen from a house at Burwood, Diddlebury, Salop on the 8th instant: a blue and white plaid Shirt, the property of George Harris. Supposed by a man of the following description : about 60 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build ; dressed in a slouched black hat, dark grey top coat old black trousers, old boots. By a man of the following description, who was traced to Leicester : a navvy, about 38 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, dark whiskers round face, sunken eyes, prominent forehead, holds his head forward when walking ; dressed in slop, cord vest and trousers, soft black billycock. Northampton, No, 51521, carried a brown twill silk umbrella with metal fastening for ribs on handle, speaks French. Description of a man, charged with stealing .£ 17 15s., from a dwelling- house in Rotherham, on the 8th instant : he is 21 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches higb, fresh complexion, brown hair, sore eyes, a labourer, anu last resided at the Holmes, Rotherham ; dressed in grey cloth coat, brown cloth trousers and vest, and cloth cap. Information to be given to Superintendeut Gillett, West Riding Constabulary, Court House, Rotherham.— Bow- street, May 10. Stolen from a lodger at the Swan with two Necks, Worcester, on the night of the 6th instant: a gold lever hunting Watch, with ' Presented by the Agents and Work- men of the Aircastle Colliery to Mr. Edward Jones on his leaving the Works,' engraved on the inside of the case ; also 1 gold Albert Chain; 1 neck Chain ( lady's) ; 1 gold Riag with ruby ; 1 ditto with a blue stone ; 1 blue Vest; and £ 7 in Gold. By a man and woman of the following descrip- tion : ma a about 38 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, strongly built, no whiskers, marked somewhat with small pox, and a navvy; was dressed as such when he leftpand carried a bundle. Description of JOHN DOUGLE, alias CHARLES HOMPSON, a Dutchman, tailor, charged on a warrant with stealing from the dwelling- house of John Goss, Fore- street, Cullompton, on the night of the 30th ultimo : a blue pilot cloth Great Coat, with velvet collar, much worn; a black cloth frock Coat; a dark brown Coat; aud a pair of dark grey plaid Trousers : he is about 35 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, dark complexion, dark hair, tuft of bair on chin, large roman nose ; dressed in black wide- awake hat, dark plaid vest, black cloth trousers, and one of the stolen coats, elastic- side boots, much worn, one cut open in front, and Bewed up behind with black thread. Information to be given to Superintendent Collins, Devon Constabulary, Cullompton, Devon, who holds the warrant for his apprehen- sion.— Bow- street, May 10. Absconded ou the lst instant, from Lavender- place, Battersea, embezzling £ 40 : a man 19 years of age, 5 ft. 9 ins. high, fair complexion and hair, dark eyes, small cut on bottom lip ; dressed in dark overcoat, blue ribbed under ditto and yest, dark mixture trousers, oxonian boots, and sealskin cap. He is a milk carrier. — Metropolitan Police, V Division, May 8. Absconded from Abercam, near Newport, Monmouth- shire, between 8 and 9 a. m. on the lst instant, charged with stealing from his lodgings : a cash Box, containing £ 6 6s. 6d. in Gold and Silver ; a single silver case English lever Watch, silver dial, gold figures and seconds hands, No. 1984, with silver Guard and common Key attached ; and a new pair of elastic- side Boots, the property of John Edwards: WILLIAM CROMBILL, alias CROMWELL, who stated that he came from Kidderminster, a native of Birmingham, a nail finisher, about 18 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, stout figure, light complexion and hair ; dressed in a blue pilot monkey jacket, grey striped cloth trousers and vest, black hard bowler hat, and the stolen boots ; he came to Abercam about 3 weeks ago.
