ROYAL PUSH CONSTABULARY, Antrim DESCRIPTION of clolhing, the property of John Johnston, which was stolen out of his dwelling- house, in townland of Taylorstown, parish of Bally- scullion Grange, barony of Upper Toome, on the morning of the 19th inst., between the hours of 1 and 6 o'clock, a. m., viz:— A blue cloth frock coat, with 6 pockets, 4 of them outside and 1 inside, nearly new ; a pair of dark gray striped tweed trowsers, nearly new, they have been taken in, and tha c oth taken in is not cut away ; a pair of men's laced boots, much worn, the right boot newly soled ; a pair of men's woollen socks, gray, with the letter A in red wool at top; a pair of women's gray woollen stockings, and a man's neck muffler of different colours ; all value for about £ 2 1 5s. R., who stands charged with having, on the 22nd March, 1875, in the barony of Cosblea, parish of Kilreheny, fired at Patten S. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle:— Rather short neck, slightly round shoulders; Brown eyes, nooked nose, fresh siigatly freckled complexion, long f'ce, stout moke. 5 f< et 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. DESCRIPTION of a poacher, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 26th December, 1875, at Lowtown, Kilcashel Bog, fired at and wounded Matthew Den, gamekeeper:— Round shoulders, long face, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 80 years of age, sandy hair and whiskers. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Gallagher and Mark Feely, labourers, natives cf Carrowilkeen, who stand charged with having, on the 27th March last, in the barony of Leyny, parish of Achonry, seriously assaulted Luke M'Donogh. thereby endangering his life .— 1. Thomas Gallagher— Bluish gray eyes, thin long nose, fair complexion, freckled face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 24 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a round black jerry hat. black cloth frock coat, brown tweed trowsers and vest; worked as a labourer in Bolton, England, for the last 8 years. 2. Mark Feely— Very boyish appearance ; bluo eyes, pug nose, very fair complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 20 years of age, fair hair, no beard or whiskers, wore a soft jerry hat, blue pilot frock coat, dark tweed trowsors and vest; worked in Bolton, England, last season. DESCRIPTION of John Walsh, alias John Callaghan, native of Dunkit, county Kilkenny, who stands charged with having, on the 21st day of April, 1876, at Cloneyhea, in the barony of Middlethird, parish of Drangan, failed to give a satisfactory account of himself, and having in bis possession 5 shirts, ( 2 striped flannel, 2 white calico, and 1 check,) which may have been stolen :— States he is a shoemaker; slight mark of cupping on back of neck ; wears all his beArd, which is sandy ; gray eyes, regular nose, florid complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, light brown hair; wore a soft je ry hat, dark coat, dark trowsers, gray tweed vest. 1-' e states he served in the British army. He is suspccted of having c mmitted crime elsewhere, and has been remanded until the 28th instant for further inquiry. Any information respecting him to be sent to Sub- Inspector W. H. Scott, R. I. Waterford DESCRIPTION of convict John Naughton or Nocton ( 13608), who has broken the conditions of his licence" in not reporting himself to the Police on change of residence:— Convicted at Waterford city, at Michaelmas Sessions, on 17th October, 1870, fo- receiving stolen goods knowing them to be stole Oia- and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude; 44 ye --' foket- of age on conviction, can read and write, is a Ror. Catholic, married, and has two children, is a tlj prison trade shoemaking; born at Mayor- walk, covv eonvic Waterford; he resided before conviction in WaterfJwjy-^ is. Tipperary, DUBLIN CASTLE, 16th April, 1876. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that, about the hour of half- past five o'clock, on the evening of Monday, the 22nd March, 187."), Patten S. Bridge, esq., of Galtee Castle, in the county of Tipperary, was fired at and wounded, at about 200 yards from his residence, by John Ryan, of Cooladerry, in the county of Tipperary, who has since absconded: His Grace, for the better apprehending and bring- ing to justice the said John Ryan, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such private infor- mation ns shall load to his arrest. ISo ice is also hereby given, that any person or persons who have hitherto harboured, sheltered or concealed, or who shall hereafter harbour, shelter or conceal the said John Ryan, will be prosecuted as accessories after tiie fact; and a further reward of FIFTY POuNDS is hereby offered ' o any person or persons who shall, within the above period of six months, give such where his friends reside ; iron- gray hair thin* crown of head, bluish- gray eyes, brown eyebrows,, thick nose, ordinary mouth, has lost 4 upper froijt teeth, swarthy complexion, round visage: a crucifix and two trees, Ac., tattooed on left arm, a crown and anchor on right arm, an anchor on back of left hand, the back of the forefinger of left hand tittooed; stout moke, 5 feet 4 inches high. The above- named convict was released from Spike Island Prison, 24th March, 1876, on an order of licence, and took his discharge for Waterford city, from whence he left f• r Cork city, where he reported himself on the 13th instant ( having remained only one night), and signified his intention of proceeding to Dublin, but has not reported himself up to this date. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under the 5th section of the Prevention of Crimes Act, 34 and 85 Vic., chap. 112. • Government Prisons Office, Dublin Castle, April 22, 1876.
