RTotice.— It is requested that all communications lor the purpose of obtaining or giving information respecting supposed offenders, or stolen property, may bear the Signature of the person requiring or sending the same, and all applications in reference to the POLICE GAZETTE may be made and addressed to the Editor, Police Court, Bow Street, London, W. Whenever it is desired that any person should be appre- hended, and the Name is given, it is indispensably necessary that an Information should be made and sworn to before a Magistrate, of the Offence charged, and an attested copy thereof, together with the Advertisement, forwarded to the Editor for insertion. INFORMATIONS. to Superintendent Mayho, Tarporley, Cheshire.— Bow street, March 17. Between 10 p. m. on the 13th and 6.30 a. m. on the 14th instant, the dwelling- house of John Stapley, at Biddeuden, was burglariously entered and stolen therein : one light brown waterproof Overcoat, maker ' Cooper, Box and Co.'; a second- hand black cloth Overcoat, two pockets at sides, and one in left brsast ; a quantity of Tobocco and Cigars ; and 20s. in Bronze, in 5s. packets. Information to be given to Super- intendent Morgan, Police Station, Cranbrook, Kent.— Bow- street, March 17. Stolen by means of housebreaking between 1 and 4 p. m. on the^ Jth instant, the property of George Martin, a farmer, in the parish of Fletching, Sussex : a gold wedding Ring ; a siuall silver Thimble; a pair of steel Earrings; a pocket Flask ; a six- chamber Revolver ; a small pocket Pistol ; six black handle Knives and Forks, handles rivetted, makers name on knives 1 Miles, Hastings'; throe white- handle Knives and Forks; a rough black cloth Overcoat, velvet collar ; two black silk Neckties ; four colouied silk Hand- kerchiefs ; a drab stuff dress Skirt; four or five old Penny Pieces ; twenty- three Farthings ; a small quantity of silver Money; and a small carpet Bag, green with yellow spots. Information to be given to Superintendent Peerless, Uckfield, Sasspx, or at any Police Station in East Sussex.— Bow- street, March 13. During the night of the 9th instant, the small ware shop belonging to Mr. Marsden, . of Altrincbam, was broken and entered and stolen therein : 36 yards of Needlework ; half- a- dozen lisle thread white Hose; 12 dozen plain and spotted Hose; half- a- dozen white 3 Chemises; a night Dress ; 5 dozen pairs of Gloves ; and £ 7 in Gold. Informa- tion to be given to Superintendent Steen, Altrincham, Cheshire.-— Bow- street, March 13. Further particulars respecting the breaking into a fract with Horse stealing : he is supposed to belong to Rochdale ; is about 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark complexion, eyes, hair and moustache ; dressed in a tweed waistcoat with sleeves, and pieces in the sides to make it wider, moleskin trousers, navvy boots, and cloth cap. Infor- mation to be given to Inspector Boshier, West Riding Constabulary, Pontefract, Yorkshire.— Bow- street, March 17. Stolen on the 11th instant, from a stable at Priestfield, near Bilston, Staffordshire : a black Mare, about 14^ hands high, aged, white star on forehead, tail cut level with hocks, and in fair condition ; and a set of brass-., nounted Harness. Supposed by two Irishmen of the following description, one about 50 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, short grey whiskers ; dressed in a long dark coat and elastic side boots. The other about 36 years of age, 5 feet 6 incbts high, black whiskers; dressed in moleskin trousers, cap and clog\ It is supposed that they will make their way for Birkennead or Liverpool. Supposed stolen on the night of the 13th instant, from Tynycoed, near Newtown : a dark chestnut Mare Pony, aged, about 14 hauds high, in good conditioio, one white hind fet- lock, rough coat, long tail cut square, strong make, and newly shod.
