WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that, at the hour of four o'clock, on the afternoon of the 31st November, 1874, a man named Edward M'Kee was found dead in his house near Castlewellan, in the county of Down, hav'ng been murdered by some person or persons at present unknown: His Grace, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same. By His Grace's Command, T. H. BURKE. The above reward will he paid, on conviction, by C. D. Clifford Lloyd, esq., the Resident Magistrate at Bryansford, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation.
