STOLEN from the person of a gentleman, on the evening of the 1st December, a bag, containing £ 43 19*. in gold, silver and copper money, a £ 5 Bank of England note, a cheque for £ 52 8s. 4cl. drawn by Little and M'Clean on the Ulster Banking Company, Belfast, in favour of Hutton and Co., en- dorsed by Hutton and Co., No. A 50882, Nov. 26, 1874, by two men, between 20 and 30 years » f age, one 5 feet 9 inches high, the other about 5 feet 6 inches, who had the appearance of being labourers. DESCRIPTION of the undermentioned, who, on the 26th ult., was sent by his employer, Mr. Martin, of No. 45, Lower Gardiner- street, Dublin, to get cash on a cheque for £ 200, with which he absconded:— Michael Murphy, about 60 years old, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, medium make, pale feminine face without any beard or whiskers, thin gray hair, bald on top of head; very quiet manner and addiess; dressed in dark clothes, with very large gray overcoat and tall silk hat; is a clerk; was in America, and supposed to be a native of Ennis, county Clare. WHEREAS, on the evening of the 5th September last, about the hour of half past 6 o'clock, an affray took place at Derryland, in the parish of Tartaraghan, in the county of Armagh, during which James Donnelly was knocked down and severely assaulted : And whereas shortly after the above occurrence, six men, from the county of Tyrone, viz., Peter and Patrick Heffernan, John and George M'Grath, and James and Cornelius O'Neill, when passing in carts through the above- named townland, were also attacked and very severely beaten with sticks by a large party of persons unknown: I hereby offer a reward of £ 50 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as will lead to the bringing to justice the principal offenders in the outrages in question. WHEREAS, on the night of the 23rd ultimo, between the hours of 9 and 10 o'clock, a shot was fired into the dwelling of Patrick Flannery, in the town of Scarriff, parish of Tomgraney, and county of Clare, which inflicted a slight wound on Mrs. Anne Flannery: I hereby offer a reward of £ 50 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the outrage above referred to. DESCRIPTION of John M'Carthy, a travelling tinker, native of Mitchelstown, who stands charged with having, on the 25th November, 1874, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Brigown, committed a grievous assault on Patrick Lyons, of Mitchelstown :— Stoops his head, leans a little forward, and steps very short when walking ; cut- marks on head ; blue eyes, cocked nose, florid complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 27 years of age, brown hair cut short, brown whiskers; wore a cap, iong dark frock coat, cord trowsers, gray vest. DESCRIPTION of William Ross, native of Ballina- muck, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of July, 1874, in the barony of Longford, parish of Killoe, and county of Longford, seriously assaulted Michael Cassedy, by kicking him in tho abdomen, from the effects of which he died on the 8th instant:— Right leg bowed at the knee, caused by a fracture; holds his head to one side, has a peculiar expres- sion about the eyes ; regular nose, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age, very black hair; wore a low hat, gray frieze coat, dark trowsers, frieze vest. DESCRIPTION of Denis Kerrigan, native of Coolbeg, near Drumcliff, county Sligo, who stands charged with having, on the 4th day of December, 1874, in the barony of Carbury, parish of St. John's, escaped from the custody of the Police, while being escoited from the Court- house, after having been committed to county Gaol for 1 month, charged with waylaying and assault:— Smart active appearance, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, fair face, medium make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 25 years of age, fair hair; wore a jerry hat, dark tweed coat, trowsers and vest.
