C5F All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry, are to be transmitted under cover addressed to the Inspector- General of Constabulai f. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE G Division, DESCRIPTION of Augustus Sterling, late of No. 4, College- green, Dublin, cigar and tobacco merchant, who is charged on a warrant with having obtained by falsa pretences two acceptances for £ 75 each in September last, and absconded:— He is about 36 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, rather fair com- plexion, fair hair turning gray, full blue eyes; dressed r - spectably ; has an American accent. He may also use the name " Helford," and pass himself as a stock- broker or a commission agent. Information to Superintendent Mallon, 3, Ex- change court, Dublin. DESCRIPTION of Michael Guinnis, for whose arrest a Warrant has been issued, charging him with em- bezzlement of money which he had received for and on account of his employer on the 22nd inst., and absconded :— He is about 30 years of age, 6 feet 8J inches high, long full features, sbaves all his face, rather flushed face, round shoulders, head stooped ; wore a short brown frieze coat, dirty cord trowsers, black jerry hat, and Blucher boots, but he recently had ordered a suit of new clothes, which he may be wearing; he is a native of county Cork, in the vicinity of Kanturk, and was employed as a dairy boy. A large Scotch car, painted red, in good repair, without a name, 2 pieces of tin nailed on each shaft under draught chains, wheels different— one better than the other, guards over wheels. Description of the following articles, stolen out of the house of Edward Ferguson, who was mur- dered on or about the 23rd ultimo, near the town of Sligo:— A silver lever hunting watch, having number of watch on dial plate; a silk guard; brass key, having the name " Wilkins" on it; a good new pilot coat, pockets with flaps outside, a pocket inside, large silk buttons; a pair of new trowsers, dark tweed, black stripe down side; vest to match ; a pair of new Wellington boots; a new silk hat; seme money; supposed to have been taken by the m urderer.
