DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place un- known, who stands charged with having, on the 13th day of October, 1874, in the barony of Upper Antrim, parish of Grange of Doagh, had in his possession 150 yards of half- bleached linen in a bag, carried on an ass, for which he could not account, nor would he give his name :— Tattooed, on right arm with compass and square, anchor, and " J. Trouton wants third and fourth, finger of right hand ; tattooed on left arm with figure of a woman, 2 intersecting triangles, and device af 2 hearts transfixed with a dart, branches of tree under- neath the hearts; brown eyes, sharp pointed nose, tallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown hair turning gray ; wore a black top- coat lined with blue, loose gray frock coat, blue trowsers, brown vest. The prisoner, who states that he is from Keady, county Armagh, has been committed to Belfast Gaol till 22nd instant. DESCRIPTION of a tramp, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 15th October, 1874, at Kilbreedy, in the barony of Coshma, parish of Kilbreedy Major, broken into the dwelling- house of William Boland, and stolen there- from a woman's new shawl and a £ 1 note, his pro- perty ; also with having broken open two trunks in the house and stolen thereout two deposit receipts on the Munster Bank, Kilmallock— one for £ 40, the other for £ 160, a new overcoat made of black beaver, a black cloth frock coat, gray trowsers and vest ( American make), the property of Simon Creamor :— Low- sized; dark complexion, black whiskers; wore a whitish coat, dark trowsers and vest, and very bad shoes. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Curran, native of Cam, who stands charged with having, on the evening of the 12th September, 1874, in the barony of Ardagh, parish of Mostrim, been one of a party who waylaid and seriously assaulted Peter Reilly, of Aughanoran, by striking him on the head with loaded sticks :— Broad square shoulders, and very active appearance ; gray eyes, common nose, fresh complexion, common face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 24 years of age, light brown hair, short sandy whiskers ; wore a cap, dark frock coat, tweed trowsers, dark vest. He is a carpenter by trade, and has a brother at the same trade in Manchester, where it is probable he may go. Ballymahon, October 10,1874. ( 3283 c.— 5996.) DESCRIPTION of William Ross, native of Ballina- muck, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of July, 1874, in the barony of Longford, parish of Killoe, and county of Longford, seriously assaulted Michael Cassedy, by kicking him in the abdomen, from the effects of which he died on the 8th instant:— Right leg bowed at the knee, caused by a fracture ; holds his head to one side, has a peculiar expres- sion about the eyes ; regular nose, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age, very black hair; wore a low hat, gray frieze coat, dark trowsers, frieze vest. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Duffy, native of Ballytrain, but resident latterly at Carrickmacross, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 6th October, 1874, in the barony of Farney, parish of Magheross, stolen a number of iron bolts and rings, the property of E. P. Shirley, esq., out of the Market- house- yard at Carrickmacross:— Cut- marl on right ear ; brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, sullen face, stout make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 48 years of age, dark brown hair, wears all his beard; wore a low hat, dark coat, light trowsers, dark vest. A warrant is issued for his arrest. His photograph can be seen on application to the Sub- Inspector at Carrickmacross. He will probably stop at low lodging- houses, and associate with thieves and bad charactcrs* Carrickmacross, Oct. 17, 1874. ( 3578 c.— 6509.) DESCRIPTION of Michael Shea, native of Newhamp- shire, United States of America, who stands charged with having, on the 8th October, 1874, in the barony of Ballintober North, parish of Kilmore, absconded, being under a rule of bail to stand his trial at Boyle Sessions, for stabbing Patrick Clifford with a wR, thereby endangering his life:— Speaks with a strong American accent; brown eyes, long thin nose, pale complexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 7£ inches high, 24 years of age, brown hair, no beard, small light brown moustache; wore a blue pilot overcoat, gray tweed trowsers, dark vest He will probably endeavour to emigrate, as his passage has been paid to America. DESCRIPTION of James Kilcoin and Bartley Kilcoin, natives of Carrickbanagher, and John Kilcoin, native of Clooneen, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 6th September, 1874, in the barony of Tirerrill, parish of Ballysadare, seriously assaulted Charles M'Steen, of Thournalagden :— 1. James Kilcoin— Brown eyes, straight nose, swarthy complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; wore a cap, frieze frock coat, cord irowsers, tweed vest. 2. Bartley Kilcoin— Pockpitted ; gray eyes, regular nose, red complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 27 years of age, red hair; wore a cap, frieze coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest. 3. John Kilcoin— Gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, smooth plump face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 26 years of age; wore a black hat, dark frock coat, cord trowsers, dark vest.
