DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 14th September, 1874, at Tullycommon, in the barony of Inchiquin, parish of Killinaboy, stolen an ass, the property of James Moloney, of Tullycom- mon :— Fresh complexion, round face, stout make, about 5 feet 3 inches high, about 35 years of age, sandy hair, large red whiskers and begrd, bald on front of head; wore a jerry hat, black frock coat, whitish trowsers and elastic boots. He is supposed to be a man named John Ward, of the Irishtown, Limerick, who travels through the country with an ass and cart, selling cakes at fairs and races, accompanied by his wife and two children. Description of the ass :— One- year- old jack- ass, brown colour, some of the old hair on fore part of belly, unshod, very large for his age, and value for £ 1. Corrofin, September 19, 187< f. DESCRIPTION of the under named boy, who, on the morning of 15th September, 1874, absconded from the St. Nicholas Industrial School at Cork:— Henry Samuel Walsh ( No. 27), 15 years and 9 months old, 4 feet 5 inches high atadmission in 1871, slight make, dark complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes, straight nose, mouth almost always open, very queer- looking visage, somewhat like an African; mark of a burn near his ear; formerly belonged to Dublin ; his parents are dead. The sclioil dress, all with Industrial School stamp, innsists of— Irish frieze jacket, gray worsted^ stock- cogs, boots laced up in front. This boy was sent out of several schools in Dublin. The Manager of the Industrial School will defray the expense of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed boy, who, on the morning of 15th September, 1874, absconded from the St. Nicholas Industrial School at Cork :— James Fulton ( No. 85), 15 years of age, 5 feet 1 inch high, slight make, fair complexion, light brown hair, blue eyes, straight nose, rather thin lips, pleasant looking visage; formerly belonged to Moy, county Tyrone; his mother and step- father reside at Moy. The school dress, all with Industrial School stamp, consists of— tweed ceat, gray worsted stockings, machine- made boots, laced up in front. This boy walked all the way from the north of Ireland, and it is suspected that he has tried to go back there. The Manager of the Industrial School will defray the expense of his conveyance, if arrested, to the neares- t Justice, on remand. DESCRIPTION of 3 persons, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 29th August, 1874, in the barony of Duhallow, parish of Clonfert, robbed Mary Nunan of two £ 1 notes:— 1. Unknown— Three blue letters on lejt wrist; long face, slight make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 23 years of age; wore a soft black hat, dark cord jacket and trowsers. 2. Unknown— Fair complexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age: wore a dark cap, gray tweed frock coat, gray tweed trowsers. 3. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lords Justices, that, about the hour of eight o'clock, on the evening of the 29th ultimo, Mr. James Muir, Land Steward of Augustus Arthur, esq, J. P, of Glano- mera, when returning from Limerick, was fired at and wounded by some person or persons at present unknown: Their Excellencies, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, are pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same; and a reward of FIFTY POUNDS to any person who shall, within the same period, give such private information as shall lead to the same result. By Their Excellencies' command, T. H. BURKE. The above rewards will be paid, on conviction, by William O'Hara, esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, county Clare, to those who may become entitled to them under the conditions of this Proclamation. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lords Justices, that, about the hour of half- past 2 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 27th ultimo, Miss Gertrude Whyte, daughter of Colonel J. J. Whyte, J. P., D. L., of Newtown- Manor, Sligo, when returning from Sligo, was fired at by some person or persons at present unknown: Their Excellencies, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, are pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same ; and a reward of FIFTY POUNDS to any person who shall, within the same period, give such private information as shall lead to the same result. DESCRIPTION of the under- named girl, who, on Sunday, 18th September, 1874, absconded from the service of Mr. Bourke, Derrymore, Clonoulty, where she had been placed, on licence, from the Mount Carmel Industrial School, Moate :— Mary Hynes ( No. 46), 14^ years of age, 4 feet 10 inches high, medium make, fair complexion, brown hair, gray eyes, regular nose, regular mouth, full visage ; formerly belonged to Loughrea, co. Galway ; her father is undergoing penal servitude ; her mother lives at Loughrea.
