DUBLIN CASTLE, 3rd August, 1874. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that, on the night of the 23rd July, 1874, Thomas Fleming and Alice Fleming, his wife, were both brutally murdered at Curraghmore, near Mitchelstown, in the county of Cork : His Grace the Duke of Abercorn, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information to the Resident Magistrate or Constabulary as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Grace's Command, T. H. BURKE. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by Richard J. Eaton, esq., the Resident Magistrate at Mitchelstown, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of James Sullivan, native of Rooska, who stands charged with having, on the 4th July, 1874, in the barony of West Division of West Carbery, parish of Durrus, seriously assaulted Samuel Swanton, at Cloonee, by cutting him in the thigh with a scythe :— Blue eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, rather long face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 24 years of age, fair hair; generally dresses in gray clothes. ( 2773 p.— 5272,) DESCRIPTION of John Riordan, native of Island, County Cork, who stands charged with having, on the 28th July, 1874, in the barony of Barretts, parish of Rahan, assaulted Daniel Lorny, by striking him on the head with a stone:— Walks rather stiff in one knee, supposed the left; dark eyes, long thin nose, sandy complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 83 jears of age, sandy hair; wore a brown frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, black and white vest. DESCRIPTION of William Ross, native of Ballina- muck, who stands charged with having, on the 6th day of July, 1874, in the barony of Longford, parish of Killoe, and county of Longford, seriously assaulted Michael Cassedy, by kicking him in the abdomen, from the effects of which he died on the 8th instant :— Eight leg bowed at the knee, caused by a fracture ; holds his head to one side, has a peculiar expres- sion about the eyes ; regular nose, sallow complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, abjut 40 years of age, very black hair; wora a low hat, gray frieze coat, dark trowsers, frieze vest. HABITUAL CRIMINALS UNDER POLICE SUPERVISION Who have not reported themselves, as required by " The Prevention of Crimes Act, 1871," and who are liable, • on conviction, to 12 months' imprisonment. I. Sub- Inspectors are to report without delay to " The Registrar of Habitual Criminals, Dublin Castle," the names and descriptions of all persons under supervision reporting themselves in their respective Districts. II. Also to report to the " Directors of Government Prisons, Dublin Castle," in all cases in which it may oome to the knowledge of the Constabulary that convicts are in any way infringing the conditions of their licences.
