DESCRIPTION of William Lamont, native of Moboy, county Antrim, who stands charged with having, on the 27th April, 1874, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Craigs, committed a rape, in the townland of Moboy, county Antrim:— Brown eyes, regular nose, fttir complexion, prominent mouth, stout make, 6 feet 0 or 7 inches high, about 37 years of age, fair hair: wore a fur cap, dark coat, corduroy trowsers. A Warrant for his arrest is in the possession of the Portglenone Constabulary. Ballymena, May 4, 1874. ( 1781 o.— 8222.) DESCRIPTION of Alexander Gordon, native of Tully- rawley, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 21st February, at Ballywatermoy, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Craigs, inflicted wounds on the head of John Treacy, of Dunmining, fron\ the effects of which he died on the 24th:— Very tmarl active appearance, rather slender make, downcast look; regular nose, dark complexion, sharp face, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 80 years of age, dark hair; shaved his cheeks on a line with mouth, wore his beard from that round and under chin, no moustache; wore a cloth cap with rough edging, moleskin jacket, cord trowsers. The Coroner's Jury found him guilty of homicide, and a Warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the Royal Irish Constabulary at Ballymena. Ballymena, February 26, 1874. ( 862 0— 1519.) Belfast DESCRIPTION of Samuel Turner, native ot Belfast, MirN stands charged with having, on the 22nd day of ^ pril, 1874, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankill, attempted to commit a rape:— Blue tender eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, long freckled face, slender make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 80 years of age, fair hair. Pearl, native of London, who stands charged with having, on the 8th January, 1874, at Belfast, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankill, feloniously and unlaw- fully married Ellen Cunningham, his first wife being then alivo :— Anchor tattooed on one of his armt, supposed to be the left; ring tattooed on one of his fingers, supposed of left hand; large mouth, dark eyes, fair complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 42 years of age, dark hair, small fair moustache; wore a felt hat-, blue office coat, light tweed trowsers, dark vest; is a bookbinder and paper- ruler by trade; sings well and plays on the violin. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Connell, native of King- williamstown, Cork, E. R., who stands charged with having, on the night of the 7th instant, in the barony of Duhallow, parish of Nohavaldaly, assaulted and beaten Daniel Hickey, whose life is in danger from same:— Thick nose, dark complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 9^ inches high, about 23 years of age, dark hair ; wore a low hard black hat, dark frieze frock coat, gray tweed trowsers, gray vest. DESCRIPTION of Michael Field, native of Cooleen, who stands charged with having ( in conjunction with John Field, who has been arrested,) on the 18th April, 1874, at Macroom, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Macroom, inflicted such injuries on Jeremiah Dineen as caused his death:— Smart active appearance, wears a slight moustache, the rest of the face shaved; blue eyes, thin nose, fair complexion, rather long face, smart make, 5 feet 9 inches high, abcut 26 years of age, sandy hair; wore a black coat, light fowsers. DESCRIPTION of Cornelius Driscoll, native of Ballinlough, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 20th inst., in the barony of East Car- bery, West Division, parish of Kilmacabea, struck Denis Driscoll a blow of a stick on the head, from the effects of which he died on the following morn- ing :— Brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, iathcr long face, stout make, 5 feet 7^ inches high, about 85 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft round hat, blue coat and trowsers ; smart intelligent appearanco; has a very keen look about the eyes, and lias the appearance of a man of determination; his hair hangs about the sides of his head as if recently wetted, it is long and straight and rather thin. DESCRIPTION of Martin Connelly, native of Aghala- tive, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd April, 1874, in the barony of Ballymoe, parish of Kilbegnet, struck Martin Neary on the head with a stone, from the effects of which his life is in danger: — Remarkably long thin neck with hair growing far down upon its gray eyes, thin nose, sallow com- plexion, thin face, slight make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 19 years of age; wore a gray tweed cap and coat, black tweed trowsers and vest; is a labourer, and is supposed to have absconded to England. DESCRIPTION of an ass, the property of Edward Deegan, which was stolen from off the public road at Castlemartin, parish of Kilcullen, barony of Kil- cullen, on the night of the 2nd May, 1874 :— A. brown gelding, with white face and belly, large ears and body, very much in on the knees— some hair off them, a bare spot on each gam about the size of a shilling, 12 years old, not shod ; value for £ 2 10s. DESCRIPTION of a watch, the property of John St. John Frederick, esq., 6th Enniskilling Dragoons, which was stolen from his quarters at F Lines, Curragh Camp, parish of Ballysax, barony of East Offaly, on the 4th day of May, 1874 :— A silver Geneva hunting watch, with small glass in front case, white dial, which is a little fractured; maker's name, Beum, Geneve; No. 10152. DESCRIPTION of Matthew M'Bride, native of Drogheda, who stands charged with having, on the 30th April, 1874, in the barony of Drogheda, parish of St. Peter, escaped from Drogheda Gaol, where he had been committed for trial, on a charge of house- breaking and robbery :— Very active appearance; small mark on pupil of right eye, extending downwards to the iris ; grey eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair, no whiskers, small moustache; wore a jerry hat, light tweed coat, trowsers and vest. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Walsh, native of Attycun- nane, who stands charged with having, on the 21st day of April, 1874, in the barony of Erris, parish of Kilcommon, forged the name of the Rev. Henry Hewson, P. P., to a document purporting to be a baptismal certificate, he being a candidate for the R. I. Constabulary :— Brown eyes, regular nose, freckled complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a low black felt hat, blue frock coat, light tweed trowsers, dark cloth vest, and a pair of English- made laced boots ( nailed). He will probably endeavour to escape to America. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, which is at present in possession of the Police at Belmullet. Belmullet, May 12, 1874. ( 1746 8423.)
