DESCRIPTION of William Lamont, native of Moboy, county Antrim, who stands charged with having, on the 27th April, 1874, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Craigs, committed a rape, in the townland of Moboy, county Antrim:— Brown eyes, regular nose, lair complexion, prominent mouth, stout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 37 years of age, fair hair: wore a fur cap, dark coat, corduroy trowsers. A Warrant for his arrest is in the possession of the Portglenone Constabulary. Ballymena, May 4, 1874. ( 1781 o.— 8222.) DsscRip- i ! ON of William Butler, supposed to be a native of Newry, who stands charged with having, after 11 o'clock on the night of 8rd inst., in the barony of Upper Antrim, parish of Nilteen Grange, absconded from the house of John Manley, blacksmith, of Parkgate, taking the following articles, viz.— A Geneva watch, wanting minute hand; a blue topcoat, torn on left arm and top- sewed, two rows of bronze buttons with figure of dog and horse, plaid lining of large pattern ; a striped Wincey shirt, s'eeves of different colours, lower parts pulling on as far as the elbow; all value for £ 2 lOj.;— Military appearance; gray eyes, red nose with large top, dark complexion, oval face, stout make, 6 feet high, about 88 years of age, dark brown hair and small dark whiskers turning gray; wore a dark coat, gray tweed trowsers, dark vest; by trade a blacksmith. DESCRIPTION of Alexander Gordon, native of Tully- rawley, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 21st February, at Ballywatermoy, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Craigs, inflicted wounds on the head of John Treacy, of Dunmining, from the effects of which he died on the 24th :— Very smart active appearance, rather slender make, downcast look ; regular nose, dark complexion, sharp face, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 80 years of age, dark hair; shaved his cheeks on a line with mouth, wore his beard from that round and under chin, no moustache; wore a cloth cap with rough eilging, moleskin jacket, cord trowsers. Thfj Coroner's Jury found him guilty of homicide, and a Warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the Royal Irish Constabulary at Ballymena. Ballymena, February 26, 1874. DESCRIPTION of Samuel Turner, native ol Belfast, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd day of April, 1874, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankill, attempted to commit a rape — Blue tender eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, long freckled face, slender make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair. Pearl, native of London, who stands charged with having, on the 8th January, 1874, at Belfast, in the barony of Upper Belfast, parish of Shankill, feloniously and unlaw- fully married Ellen Cunningham, his first wife being then alive :— Anchor tattooed on one of his arms, supposed to be the left; ring tattooed on one of his fingers, supposed of left hand; large mouth, dark eyes, fair complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 42 years of age, dark hair, small fair moustache; wore a felt hat, blue office coat, light tweed trowsers, dark vest; is a bookbinder and paper- ruler by trade; sings well and plays on the violin. DESCRIPTION of Cornelius Driscoll, native of Ballinlough, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 20th inst., in the barony of East Car- bery, West Division, parish of Kilmacabea, struck Denis Driscoll a blow of a stick on the head, from the effects of which he died on the following morn- ing :•— Brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, rather long face, stout make, 5 feet 7^ inches high; about 35 years of age, dark hrown hair; wore a soft round hat, blue coat and trowsers ; smart intelligent appearance; has a very keen look about the eyes, aDd has the appearance of a man of determination ; his hair hangs about the sides of his head as if recently wetted, it is long and straight and rather thin.
